Acu point plasticity refers to a patho-physiologically dynamic change which is manifested mainly as a neuronal inflammatory reflection in the special area(s) of the body surface under pathological conditions. These responses of acupoint sensitization could activate simultaneously self-healing system in the body and induce the curative effects.

5.Expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in osteosarcoma and its clinical significance

Objective To study the expression levels of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in osteosarcoma,and discuss the role of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 gene in the occurrence and development of human osteosarcoma,as well the relationship between their expression levels and Ennecking staging.Methods SP immunohistochemical staining assay was applied to detecting the expression levels of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in 30 aptients with osteosarcoma,and the results were analyzed with SPSS11.0 software.Results The positive rate of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in osteosarcoma was respectively 73.3% and 86.7%.There were prominent differences of positive rate of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 between osteosarcoma and osteochondroma groups.The expression rates of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein had no significant difference among osteosarcoma Ennecking grade Ⅰ to grade Ⅲ respectively.In osteosarcoma group,no correlation existed between the expression rates of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3(P>0.05).Conclusion Although the occurrence and development of human osteosarcoma are correlated with the dropout of apoptosis,they are implicated in a complicated course participated by multiple genes and procedures.Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 gene play a certain role partly.SP immunohistochemical staining assay shows a higher sensitivity in detecting the expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 protein in osteosarcoma;however,their expression levels were not correlative to Ennecking staging.Therefore,the expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 may not be used as the criteria of the malignant degree and prognosis of osteosarcoma.
6.Structural and functional changes of pharyngeal muscle in rats with altitude hypoxia-induced obstructive sleep apnea syndrome

Objective:To observe the changes of structure and function of pharyngeal muscle in SD rats with altitude hypoxia induced obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS),in an attempt to investigate the remodeling of pharyngeal space and the possible biomechanical mechanism of OSAS.Methods:Twenty-four SD rats(12 male and 12 female) were randomly assigned to 4 groups with 6 rats in each group.Rats in group A and B were male and those in group C and D were female.Rats in group A and C were placed in altitude chamber and treated with altitude hypoxia 6 h per day for 22 days.The pressure in the chamber was 53.9 kPa with an oxygen concentration of 10.0%-11.2%.Rats in group B and D,serving as controls,received no treatment.All rats were sacrificed on the 23~(rd)day.The open-angle and the inside diameter of rats′ pharyngeal-ring and the pathology of pharyngeal tissues were examined in all rats.Results: The open-angles of rats′ pharyngeal-ring of group A, B,C and D were(55?24)?,(15?8)?,(38?20)?,and(35?15)?,respectively;and the inside diameters of the pharyngeal-ring(cm) were(0.4?0.2,) 0.2?0.1,0.3?0.1,and 0.3?0.1,respectively.The open-angle and the inside diameter of rats′ pharyngeal-ring in group A were significantly higher(P
7.Effect of Early Postoperative Enteral Immunonutrition in Patients with Gastric Cancer.

Objective To evaluate the role of early postoperative enteral immunonutrition on host nutritional status,immune and inflammatory responses.Methods Ninety six patients with gastric cancer were randomized to receive either an immune enhancing enteral diet or an isocaloric,isonitrogenous control diet for 7 days.Enteral feeding was initiated 24 hours after surgery.Host immunity was evaluated by IgG、IgM、IgA、CD4、CD8、CD4/CD8,and inflammatory response was reflected by IL-1?、IL-2、IL-6、IL-10、TNF-?.Total protein,albumin,prealbumin,transferring and nitrogen balance were determined as nutritional indicators.Results After the study,prealbumin,IgA,CD4,and CD4/CD8 levels were significantly higher in study group than in control group.IL-6,TNF-?concentrations were significantly lower in study group than in control group.Conclusions Postoperative administration of immunonutrtion in patients with gastric cancer can positively modulate postoperative immunosuppressive and inflammatory responses.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of the real-time four-dimensional ultrasound imaging examination in the diagnosis of fetal malformations.Methods Four-dimensional ultrasound prenatal audio and video materials,1 008 cases of 12~20 weeks pregnant were retrospectively analyzed,and the dignostic value for the fetal malformation Was obser red by following-up.Results Four-dimensional ultrasound detection of fetal malformations in 26 cases,27 cases of confirmed postpartum fetal malformations,the rate was 96.3%,1 case of missed diagnosis.missed diagnosis rate was 3.7%misdiagnosis rate was 0.Conclusion The dynamic continuous four-dimensional ultrasound could show the activities of the fetus in uterus,diagnosis of most of the morphological structure of fetal malformations,reduced birth defects in children.
