Objective To observe the effect of cervical plexus block combined with cervical vertebra traction treatment of cervical spondylosis of nerve root type .Methods 60 cases of nerve root type cervical spondylosis were divided into two groups by coin tossing:group A(n=32) cervical plexus block combined with cervical traction thera-py, group B( n=28) treated by cervical traction therapy ,according to the severity of pain compared two groups of treatment effect.Results after treatment,20d group 10d,30d,90d pain scores were (4.61 ±0.70)%,(3.71 ± 0.57)%,(3.30 ±0.65)%,(4.44 ±1.04)%,group B respectively (5.88 ±1.47)%,(5.61 ±1.35)%,(4.83 ± 0.86)%,(5.50 ±0.87)%,the difference between two groups was statistically significant (t=5.85,1.06,1.30, 7.51,all P<0.01).Conclusion The cervical plexus block combined with cervical traction for treatment of nerve root type of cervical spondylosis is better than the routine treatment of cervical traction ,which is suitable for promotion of primary health care units .

Objective\ To study whether gonadotropin releasing hormone receptor (GnRHR)mRNA exist in rat submaxillary gland and it's gene sequence. Methods\ The total RNA isolated from rat submaxillary gland was amplified by RT\|PCR, the PCR products were identified by sequencing with Sanger's method. Results\ The specific amplified band of GnRHR mRNA was detected through agarose gel electrophoresis and gene sequence is identical to the sequence of GnRHR which has been reported in rat pituitary. Conclusion\ GnRHR can be produced by submaxillary and response for modulating biological function of submaxillary.\;

Objective To estimate the iron level in the patients with thrombocytosis for differential diagnosis.Methods A retrospective analysis on 98 thrombocytosis patients was performed by studying hemogram,iron staining in bone marrow and serum iron and ferritin level.Results In the patients whose platelet count were between 400?10(9)/L and 800?10(9)/L 40.8% were diagnosed as iron-deficient anemia,while in the patients whose platelet count were higher than 800?10(9)/L 81.5% were diagnosed as essential thrombocytosis(ET).Of 27 ET cases 2 had lower serum ferritin values but their serum iron levels were in normal range.Conclusion The patients with platelet count between 400?10(9)L and 800?10(9)/L may be secondary thrombocytosis,while the patients with platelet count higher than 800?10(9)/L may be diagnosed as ET,but other conditions such as iron deficiency should be excluded.

Objective To study the localizations and the quantity of GnRH receptor in stomach of Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats under stress.Methods The model of stress SD rats was established by fear. Then, stomachs were taken from the rats in acute stress group (2h-12h), chronic stress group (1d-4w) and the control group respectively.The localizations and the quantity of GnRH receptor in stomachs were detected using immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.Results The results of immunohistochemistry showed that immunoreactivity of GnRH receptor was displayed in the gastric parietal cells and the epithelial cells of the gastric pits in stomachs of rats in all groups. The immunoreactive materials were distributed in membrane and cytoplasm of all positive cells, but not in nuclei. Objective To evaluate the curative effects of portal vein tumor emboli(PVTE)of hepatocellular carcinoma treated by CT-guided percutaneous ethanol injection(PEI).Methods Absolute ethanol was injected into the tumor embolus of portal vein guided by CT in twenty patients with hepatocellular carcinomas.The procedure was carried out one or two times each week one to three times as a course and one to two courses for a patient.The interval between two courses was one month and the patients were followed up for 6 months-5 years.Results Among the twenty patients,17(85%)were improved in different degrees after the treatment,with disappearence of the tumor emboli in 2(10%)and size stability or even smaller in 15 (75%),and finally no response in 3(15%).Conclusions CT-guided PEI is an effective method for patient with PVTE and proper selection of patient for the procedure is the key to obtain better curative effects.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the malignancy incidence among rubber manufacture and preliminary processing industrial workers in Hainan Province of China.

METHODSA retrospective survey was conducted on 9 farms in Hainan covering workers who got malignant tumor between January 1, 2005 and October 31, 2010.

RESULTOn average there were 10 320 workers worked on the 9 farms each year. Among them, 167 cases of malignancy were found. The morbidity was 279.01 every a hundred thousand and standardized morbidity was 159.03 every a hundred thousand; In comparison, we also investigated 14228 non-rubber-industry-related workers. 94 malignancy cases were found. The morbidity was 113.91 every a hundred thousand and standardized morbidity was 64.93 every a hundred thousand. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.01) meaning that rubber industrial workers in Hainan Province had a higher possibility of getting malignancy. Top 5 types of cancer found in this study were lung cancer (17.96%), liver cancer (17.36%), stomach cancer (13.17%), rectal cancer and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. 116 cases of these five types of cancer took up 69.45% of the total.

CONCLUSIONSRubber industrial workers in Hainan have a higher morbidity of malignancy than other local industries. But it is similar to other areas in China.

A total of 17 cases with pelvic limb hyperhidrosis were selected for lumbar sympathetic nerve modulation.The puncture of lumbar sympathetic nerve was guided by computed tomography (CT) through the gap of L2-3 until the needle tip reached the lateral of the second or third lumbar vertebra body and outside of psoas major.A mixture of 1％ lidocaine 3 ml and 30％ Iohexol injection 0.3 ml was injected.If the diffusion of lidocaine was observed between lumbar vertebra body and psoas major.After 15 min,5 ml of absolute alcohol was injected to modulate the lumbar sympathetic nerve.After 5 min,oximetry-derived perfusion index of toe and sole temperature increased (5.9 ± 1.4) folds and (4.16± 0.89) ℃ on average respectively.Pelvic limb hyperhidrosis was all cured within 6 months and one case recurred after a year.There were no occurrences of complications.Lumbar sympathetic nerve modulation guided by CT may be used for treating female pelvic limbs hyperhidrosis.
