To evaluate the efficacy and safety of compound Decumbent Corydalis Rhizome (DCR) in treating patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Totally 79 patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected from out-patient and inpatient departments of West China Hospital and randomly divided into the test group and the control group. The test group (n = 41) was given Compound DCR with the dosage of 1.8 g · d(-1), while the control group (n = 38) was administered with diclofenac sodium with the dosage of 75 mg · d(-1). After 12 weeks of treatment, the total efficacy rates based on patients/physicians evaluation for experimental and control groups were 68.29%, 63.41% and 71.05%, 63.16%, respectively, without significant difference between the two groups. Both of the two groups showed significant improvements in the main efficacy indexes (pain on walking 20 m) and minor indexes (tenderness on palpation, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities OA index (WOMAC) and Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36 ), but without significant difference in efficacy between them. The incidence of related adverse events was 24.39% in the test group and 47.37% in the control group, respectively, with significant differences between the two groups (P < 0.05). In the controlled study, compound DCR is as efficient as diclofenac sodium but more tolerable, with a good clinical application prospect.

OBJECTIVETo explore causes of shoulder pain and propose prevention measures in treating acromioclavicular joint dislocation.
METHODSFrom January 2005 to January 2013, 86 patients with acromioclavicular joint dislocation (Tossy III) were treated with hook plate fixation, and were divided into two groups. Bsaed on recovery of shoulder function mostly, the patients who suffered from rest pain, motion pain were named as shoulder pain group, while the patients without pain were named as painless group. In shoulder pain group, there were 21 cases including 15 males and and 6 females ranging the age from 22 to 62 years old with an average of (40.6±11.2) years old. There were 8 cases were on the left side and 13 cases were on the right side. In painless group, there were 65 cases including 36 males and and 29 females ranging the age from 19 to 65 years old with an average of (40.0±11.3) years old. There were 33 cases were on the left side and 32 cases were on the right side. The time from injury to operation ranged from 3 h to 8 d with an average of 34.6 h. Shoulder function of all patients were normal before injuried. Postoperative pain, activity of daily living (ADL), range of motion, deltoid muscle strength were compared. Anteflexion, rear protraction, abduction and upthrow of shoulder joint were also compared. Postoperative complications between two groups were observed and compared.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up from 12 to 48 months with an average of 18.5 months. Constant-Murley score were used to evaluate clinical efficacy at the least following up, and 13 cases got an excellent results, 5 moderate, 2 good and 1 poor in shoulder pain group ; while 61 cases were obtained excellent results, 3 moderate and 1 good in painless group. There were significantly differences between two groups in Constant-Murley score and activity of shoulder joint (P<0.05). In shoulder pain group, 3 cases were disconnected, 1 case occurred stress fracture, 9 cases were subacromial impingement syndrome, 5 cases occurred subluxation, 1 case occurred plate breakage and 11 cases were acromioclavicular arthritis.
CONCLUSIONChosing individual clavicular hook plate, fulfilling anatomic reset, paying attention to the repair of articular capsule ligament, and reducing hook and bone antagonism between stress is the key point of preventing and decreasing postoperative shoulder pain.

OBJECTIVETo compare the clinical effects of circumcision and the foreskin-deglove plus shaft-fix (FDSF) procedure in the treatment of phimosis or redundant prepuce in obese adult males (body mass index [BMI] ≥ 28 kg/m²).
METHODSForty-four obese adult men with phimosis or redundant prepuce underwent circumcision (n = 24) or FDSF (n = 20) according to their own wishes. The patients in the circumcision and FDSF groups were aged (26.38 ± 4.24) and (26.90 ± 3.14) years, with BMIs of (27.77 ± 0.77) and (28.07 ± 2.28) kg/m² and penis lengths of (3.51 ± 0.46) and (3.50 ± 0.59) cm, respectively. The operations were performed under local anesthesia with lidocaine plus ropivacaine mesylate.
RESULTSThe operation time of circumcision was (28.04 ± 2.65) min and that of FDSF was (45.45 ± 3.49) min. At 6 months after surgery, normal penile erection was found in all the patients, the penis length was significantly longer in the FDSF than in the circumcision group ([5.01 ± 0.73] vs [3.70 ± 0.47] cm) , and the rate of satisfaction with penile appearance was markedly higher in the former than in the latter group (3.25 ± 0.71 vs 2.83 ± 0.56).
CONCLUSIONThe foreskin-deglove plus shaft-fix procedure under local anesthesia with lidocaine and ropivacaine mesylate may achieve desirable penile erection and appearance in the treatment of phimosis or redundant prepuce in obese adult patients.

6.Expressions of protein kinase C subtypes in glomerulonephritis and their significance
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2001;23(4):454-456
Objective To investigate the expressions and significance of protein kinase C (PKC) subtype α, β2 and ε in the pathogenesis of glomerulonephritis. Methods Immunohistochemical assays was used to examine the expressions of PKC α, PKC β2 and PKC ε in biopsy specimens of kidney from patients with mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MsPGN) (n=16),nonproliferative golmerulonephritis (nonPGN) (n=12),and in structurally normal kidneys (n=6). Results The PKC β2 expression in the glomerular was significantly higher in MsPGN patients than in nonPGN or normal kidney groups. Conclusion PKC β2 has a close association with MsPGN and might take part in the initiation of this renal disease.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
Photosynthetic bacteria(PSB) showed great promise in biohydrogen production. Chromatium vinosum was able to utilize the fermentation waste of Klebsiella oxytoca for both photo-fermentative and dark-fermentative hydrogen production. The content of residual sugars and main organic acids decreased obviously after hydrogen production by C.vinosum. The maximal hydrogen production of C.vinosum was obtained at pH 6.5 adding extra 0.1%(W/W) NH_4Cl. Under photo-fermentative conditions, the content of butyric acid decreased by 54.38%, and the maximal hydrogen yield was 36.97 mL/mg cell. Under dark-fermentative conditions, the content of butyric acid decreased by 36.1% and the maximal hydrogen production was achieved as 37.50 mL/mg cell.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2010;30(3):575-578
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the validity of the simplified Modification of Diet in Renal Disease formula (MDRD) and the formulae based upon cystain C (Cys-C) for estimation of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) in Chinese patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD).
METHODSSerum creatinine and serum Cys-C were measured in 412 patients admitted in our hospital for determining the GFR by 99mTc-DTPA plasma clearance (sGFR) method between January 2008 to November 2009, and the difference, limits of agreement, precision and accuracy were calculated.
RESULTThe estimated GFRs by all the formulae were significantly correlated to the sGFR (P<0.001). The Cys-C formulae 4 and 5 showed better consistence with sGFR than the other formulae. The Cys-C formulae 4 had greater diagnostic precision and accuracy for predicting the renal function. Compared with the other formulae, the Cys-C formulae 4 and 5 had better accuracy in stages 1 to 5 CKD (P<0.001). However, Bland-altman analysis demonstrated that only the Cys-C formulae 5 was well consistent with sGFR, for the limits of agreement was within the professional agreement of 60 ml x min(-1) x 1.73 m(-2).
CONCLUSIONCompared with the MDRD equation, the Cys-C formulae 4 and 5 has greater advantages in predicting the GFR in Chinese CKD patients. However, the limits of agreement of the formula should be improved by large-sample clinical trials.

Shanghai Journal of Preventive Medicine 2016;28(10):735-738
Health self-management group adopts the mode of chronic disease self-management and offers a series of courses for community residents in order to help them carry out health self-management. For healthy people, the program aims at disease prevention by means of improving health literacy, acquiring health knowledge and skills, and developing a healthy lifestyle. While for patients, the program aims to prevent or slow the progression of diseases by means of helping them deal with their condition, achieving disease self-management. By nearly ten years of exploration and practice in Shanghai communities, with the program a working system had been established which was dominated by patriotic health campaign committee office at the levels of city and district, and technologically supported by centers for disease control and prevention with support and cooperation of the town government. The program was implemented by community health service centers and neighborhood ( village ) committee.A large-scale and whole-society promotion had been really achieved in community residents with health self-management. By the end of 2015, health self-management groups had covered all of the city's streets ( town ) and neighborhood ( village ) committee, 26 thousand groups set up and nearly 440 thousand community residents participated in group activities.
