OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for standardizing chemotherapy drug use in tumor patients,and to investigate the points of pharmaceutical care. METHODS:2 242 medical records of tumor chemotherapy were sampled from 4 third grade class A hospitals to investigate chemotherapy drug plan and pharmaceutical care. The reasons for irrational drug use were analyzed, and the points of pharmaceutical care were summarized. RESULTS:There were 1 295 cases of irrational chemotherapy drug use, among which irrational dose accounted for 26.87%;irrational antiemetic drugs use 14.44%;irrational chemotherapy plan 13.13%;irrational drug selection 10.89%;irrational dosing order 10.04%. 6 items of rational chemotherapy drug use monitoring index were summarized,which were rationality of scheme selection,drug selection,drug dose,dosing time and order,solvent concentration, route of administration,adjuvant drug use;covering the process of chemotherapy. CONCLUSIONS:Pharmaceutical care can be standardized through rationality investigation on chemotherapy drug use of tumor patients,which contributes to improving pharma-ceutical care level of clinical pharmacists,and rational drug use the clinic.

ObjectiveTo explore the regular pattern of TCM beauty prescription.MethodsBased on the ACCESS database platform,we established TCM beauty prescription database and analyzed the information in detailed.ResultsThe total number of beauty prescription in the database was 1821.We focused on analyzing the frequency of medicine application in ancient beauty prescriptions,medicinal diet,acne,chloasma and freckles prescriptions.Statistics showed that dahurian angelica root,indian bread,medlar,honey,black sesame,baical skullcap root,and Chinese angelica were the most commonly used seven kinds of Chinese herbs.ConclusionThe main parts of Chinese medicines for making beauty were those herbs which can nourish yin and blood,supplement yang and qi; and the main parts of Chinese medicine for treating skin diseases were those herbs which can clear heat and detoxicate.

Objective To describe the characteristics of organizational culture,to identify the level of quality of work life,and to explore the relationship between each dimension of organizational culture and quality of work life among nurses in tertiary hospitals in Yunnan Province,China.Methods The subjects were 416 nurses from six tertiary hospitals in Yunnan Province.Research instruments were the Organizational Culture Profile (OCP) and the Quality of Work Life Scale (QWLS).Results The results of this study showed that four dimensions of organizational culture including competitiveness (3.56 ± 0.49);performance orientation (4.08 ± 0.22);stability (3.68 ± 0.43) and social responsibility (3.95 ± 0.37) were prominent.The other 3 dimensions,namely supportiveness (3.19 ± 0.79);innovation (3.21 ±.0.62) and emphasis on rewards were perceived (2.42 ± 0.79) as less prominent.The overall mean score of quality of work life was at a moderate level (57.46 ± 15.17).Conclusion There are positive significant correlation between each dimension of organizational culture and quality of work life (P＜ 0.01).Improvement of organizational culture can enhance quality of work life among nurses,and then guarantee the nursing quality.

Medical therapy,education and scientific research are three functions of a hospital,in which education is one of the core tasks.The author thinks that we should strengthen the cultivation of the teachers;raise the level of the managements;increase the teaching input and reinforce the reform of education and scientific research so as to drive and improve the development of the hospital.

BackgroundOptic nerve injury lead to apoptosis of retinal ganglion cells ( RGCs ), and its mechanism of apoptosis is endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS). So, decreasing of ERS may protect the injury of RGCs. ObjectiveThe present study was to investigate the mechanisms of endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS) and the protective effects of human umbilical cord blood stem cells on partial optic nerve crush injury. MethodsThe optical nerves were crushed with a 40 g clip by holding for 60 seconds to establish the partial optical nerve injury model in the left eyes of 102 SPF SD rats,and 10 μl of mRNA and 10 μl of nerve growth factor were injected into the vitreous immediately after the establishment of the model. The morphological changes of retinal ganglion cells(RGCs) were examined under the light microscope after 3,7,14,21 and 28 days and the RGCs number was calculated. The apoptosis rates of RGCs were detected by the TUNEL technique after 3, 12,24,45,72 hours and 1 week. The expression levels of GRP78 mRNA and CHOP mRNA were detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reation (RT-PCR). This procedure followed the Regulations for the Administration of Affair Concerning Experimental Animals by Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Committee.Results The number of RGCs was significantly decreased with the prolongation of time of optical nerve injury in the model injury group,whereas the number of RGCs in the human cord blood cells group was reduced at a slower rate( Ftime =20. 100,P =0. 007 ). At various time points after the injection of human cord blood cells, the survival of RGCs was evidently increased in comparison with the model group(P＜0. 01 ). The apoptosis rate of RGCs was considerably elevated with injury time prolongation both in the model group and human cord blood cells group,but no apoptosis was seen from 3-24 hours after operation,and only a small amount of apoptotic cells were found in the human cord blood cells group from 48 hours through 1 week than in the model group(P＜0. 01 ). In the human cord blood cells group,GRP78 mRNA level was significantly higher and the CHOP mRNA level was significantly lower than those in the injury group at identical time points(P＜0. 01 ). ConclusionsIn the rat optic nerve partial crush model,ERS induces the apoptosis of RGCs. Human umbilical cord blood stem cells can protect RGCs from ERS injury by inhibiting apoptosis.

Objective To observe the effects of Chinese herbal compounds (alkaloid of Coptidis Rhizoma 40%, total saponin of panax notoginseng 35%, and polysaccharide of Ophiopogonis Radix 25%) on levels of blood glucose, fructosamine, and insulin of diabetic rats, and explore mechanism of action.Methods Ten rats were randomly chosen as blank control group, and other rats were used to establish diabetic rat models by STZ intraperitoneal injection. Successfully molding rats were randomly divided into Chinese herbal compounds high, medium, low dose groups, metformin group, and model group, 10 rats in each group. Each rat received gavage for continuous 4 weeks. Then rat blood was collected by cutting head and taking caudal vein. FBG was detected by glucose oxidase method;insulin level was detected by radio-immunity double antibody method;fructosamine content was detected by fructosamine method.Results Compared with the blank control group, model group the levels of FBG, froctosamine content increased, while fasting insulin level were lower after 4 weeks'medication. Compared with the model group, the levels of FBG, froctosamine content in Chinese herbal compounds high and medium dose groups and metformin group were lower, while fasting insulin level increased after 4 weeks'medication (P<0.05).Conclusion TCM herbal compounds can increased the basic insulin level by decreasing the contents of FBG and fructosamine.

Objective To investigate the effect of human umbilical cord blood stem cells on flash visual evoked potentials (F-VEP) of the traumatic optic neuropathy rats.Methods Forty-eight Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into an injury group (Group A) and 3 treatment groups (Groups B,C,and D).A traumatic optic neuropathy model was built in Group A,and the rats in Groups B,C,and D were injected with the neurotrophic factor,human umbilical cord blood stem cells,and the mixture of the neurotrophic factor and human umbilical cord blood stem cells,respectively.F-VEP was recorded in both eyes of rats at the 1st h,1st week,2nd week,3rd week,and 4th week after the optic nerve injury.Results At all time points,there were significant difference in the wave latency and amplitude between Group A and normal control eyes (P＜0.01).The differences of the wave latency and amplitude between Group A and Groups B,C,and D were statistically significant at various time points after the injury except for the wave latency at the 1st h post-operation (P＞0.05).The amplitude in Group D was higher while the latency was shorter than those of Group B at all time points since the 1st week (P＜0.05).The comparisons at the same point in the remaining treatment groups were not significantly different (P＞0.05).Conclusion The mixture of human umbilical cord blood stem cells and neurotrophic factor has a promotion effect for the recovery of F-VEP of optic nerve in traumatic optic neuropathy in rats to some degrees.

The effect of plant growth regulator forchlorfenuron (CPPU) 1 x 10(-6), 0.67 x 10(-6), 0.5 x 10(-6) on fruit morphology and effective components lignans was studied. Those morphologies were the combination of four basic morphological changes. The result showed, diametre were increased and longitudinal diametre of fruits were inhibited by foliage fertilizers including CPPU. At the same time, 1 000-grain weight and yield showed the varying degrees increase under CPPU. The order of the degree was 0.5 x 10(-6) > 1 x 10(-6) > 0.67 x 10(-6). Six lignans content of Schisandra chinensis of different harvest time and different CPPU processing groups were determined, the results showed that lignans accumulation occurred mainly in periods of premature the half mature fruiting stages. Under the 0.67 x 10(-6) CPPU treatment, schisandrol B, schisandrin B, schisandrin C content of S. chinensis showed different increase.
