Objective To investigate the effect of different parts leukoencephalopathy on cognitive function in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and analyze the relationship between injury site of cholinergic pathways and cognitive function. Methods Ninety-seven patients with acute cerebral infarction were divided into leukoencephalopathy group (59 cases) and non-leukoencephalopathy group (38 cases)according to the cranial MRI T2 scanning. The all patients of 2 groups were evaluated by cholinergic pathways hyperintensities scale (CHIPS) and reforming Scheltens scale. The cognitive function of all patients were evaluated by Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA).The difference of the cognitive function between 2 groups was observed, and the relationship between CHIPS score, reforming Scheltens scale score and MoCA score was investigated. Results There were statistical differences in MoCA total score and visuospatial/execution,memory,attention score between leukoencephalopathy group and non-leukoencephalopathy group [(20.86 ± 4.52) scores vs.(23.47 ± 4.49) scores,(3.80 ± 1.68) scores vs.(3.11 ± 1.47) scores,(2.78 ±1.57) scores vs.(1.95 ± 1.80) scores,(4.00 ± 2.08) scores vs.(3.87 ± 2.04) scores] (P < 0.01 or < 0.05).There were statistical differences in CHIPS score and reforming Scheltens scale score between cognitive dysfunction group (35 cases)and non-cognitive dysfunction group (24 cases)[(47.77 ± 12.36) scores vs.(39.83 ±7.98) scores,(5.14 ± 1.73) scores vs.(2.58 ±2.10) scores] (P <0.01).There was negative correlation between MoCA total score and frontal periventricular score, occipital periventricular score, parietal lobe score, periventricular total score, deep alba total score and reforming Scheltens scale total score (P <0.01).There was negative correlation between visuospatial/execution score, attention score, fixing score,MoCA total score and CHIPS score (P < 0.01).There was negative correlation between attention score, fixing score,MoCA total score and reforming Scheltens scale score (P < 0.01).Conclusions In acute cerebral infarction patients leukoencephalopathy is probably related to cognitive function, and the severity of leukoencephalopathy correlates with the degree of cognitive function impairment.Different parts leukoencephalopathy can induce different influence on cognitive function. The cognitive function impairment caused by leukoencephalopathy correlates with the impairment of cholinergic pathways, with main effects of visuospatial/execution function, and the severity correlates with the impairment of cholinergic pathways.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2023;35(11):981-984
Objective :
To investigate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of cases with pertussis in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide insights into pertussis diagnosis and control.
Methods:
A total of 186 patients with definitive diagnosis of pertussis in medical institutions in Yiwu City from November 1, 2020 to August 31, 2022 were recruited, and subjects' demographic, clinical symptoms and history of pertussis vaccination were collected using questionnaire surveys. The temporal, population, and spatial distribution and clinical symptoms of pertussis were analyzed using a descriptive epidemiological method, and the clinical characteristics of pertussis patients with different doses of pertussis vaccination were compared.
Results:
Pertussis was found to predominantly occur during the period between July and November (101 cases, 54.30%), and the three highest-incidence regions included Jiangdong Street, Beiyuan Street and Choujiang Street (87 cases, 46.77%). The 186 pertussis cases included 105 males (56.45%) and 81 females (43.55%), and included 144 cases with age of onset under 7 year (77.42%). Preschool and diaspora children were predominant among all pertussis cases, and the main clinical symptoms included spasmodic cough (97 cases, 52.15%), post-tussive vomiting (82 cases, 44.09%) and aggravated cough at night (77 cases, 41.40%). Routine blood tests measured 119 cases with abnormal white blood cell counts (63.98%), 137 cases with abnormal lymphocyte counts (73.66%), 39 cases with abnormal neutrophil counts (20.97%), 21 cases with abnormal platelet counts (11.29%) and 111 cases with abnormal hemoglobin concentrations (59.68%). There were 55 cases that were unvaccinated (29.57%), 23 cases that were not fully vaccinated (12.37%), and 108 cases that were fully vaccinated (58.06%). There were significant differences among pertussis cases with different doses of vaccination in terms of age, incidence of post-tussive vomiting, percentage of abnormal platelet counts and percentage of hemoglobin concentrations (all P<0.05).
Conclusions
The majority of pertussis cases are preschool and diaspora children in Yiwu City from November 1, 2020 to August 31, 2022, and the clinical symptoms mainly include spasmodic cough, post-tussive vomiting and aggravated cough at night, with atypical symptoms. The capability for differential diagnosis of pertussis is required to be improved in medical institutions.

In order to improve the operation difficulties in the narrow space of the nasal maxillary sinus, the nasal continuum minimally invasive surgical robot system is designed. The ball-and-socket joints and NiTiNol tubes are used as the main body of the continuum structure to improve the degree of freedom. The hardware systems and software systems are designed. The security control policies are planned. Finally, the robot confirmed prototype experiments are conducted and the feasibility of continuum robot confirmed through master-slave control experiment and animal experiment.
