Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
The study aimed at investigation the effect of the transgenic biocontrol bacteria 308R(pCPP430) on the tomato rhizosphere bacterial communities. Strain 308R (Pantoea agglomerans), an adnascent bacterium isolated from tomato, was a biocontrol bacterium. The recombinant cosmid pCPP430 contained the hrp gene cluster of Erwinia amylovora was transformed into 308R Strain. Transgenic biocontrol bacterium 308R(pCPP430) produced Harpin protein which induce hypersensitive response and disease resistance in plants and, surprisingly, increase plant growth. Two complementary methods, sole-carbon-source utilization tests (SCSU) and ERIC-PCR, were used to compare the characterization of bacterial communities from three groups of tomato roots dipped in sterilized water, 308R suspended liquid and 308R(pCPP430) suspended liquid. The cluster analysis and principal components analysis of the number of colonies from SCSU indicated consistent differences in the rhizosphere of each group. Cluster analysis of SCSU data showed that there were consistent differences in the rhizosphere of each group. The rhizosphere bacteria communities of root dipped with 308R(pCPP 430) and 308R have a relative good replication, but the differences of corresponding replicates in dipped with distilled water was increased by degrees. Cluster analysis of ERIC-PCR fingerprints revealed that most of results (eight in ten) have overlaps between roots dipped in water and those dipped in 308R liquid. The methods used in this study may prove a useful approach for the comparison of bacterial communities.

Purpose:To investigate the effect of CD40 ligandization on breast cancer cell line and endothelial vein cell line. Methods:The expression of CD40 and its ligand on breast cancer cell line(M231),EVC cell line, fresh clinic breast cancer cell were determined by indirect immunofluorescence assay with flow cytometry(FCM) analysis. Then M231 cells cultured with CD40 agonsitic monoclone antibody, adriamycin alone or in combinations for 72 hours and proliferation of M231cells was determined by MTT assay.FCM was employed to study the cells' death or apopotosis with Annexin V PI assay.Results:M231 and ECV cell line and fresh clinic breast cancer cell are highly expressed CD40 but no CD40L.CD40 ligandization can not only inhibit the proliferation of M231 cell line but also inhibit ECV cell line by promoting the death or apoptosis of these cells.Combined CD40 agonsitic monoclone antibody with adriamycin may obviously inhibit proliferation of M231 and ECV cell line.Conclusions:CD40 ligandization may have double therapeutic effect to breast cancer: inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cell and inhibit tumor angiogenesis by inhibiting vascular endothelial cell.

Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2016;15(6):417-419
Objective To investigate and dispose an outbreak of seasonal influenza in hospital,so as to provide reference for the prevention and control of influenza outbreak in hospital. Methods Eight cases of influenza-like in-fection occurred in the department of neurosurgery at a hospital between July 29 and August 7,2014,epidemiologi-cal investigation was conducted, throat swabs of infected persons were collected for laboratory detection. Results Of 8 infected persons,6 were health care workers (HCWs)in department of neurosurgery,1 was a family member of HCW,and 1 was a patient, the major symptoms of the infected persons were low-grade fever, sore throat, and ma-laise,there were 67 patients and HCWs in this department, the attack rate of influenza was 11.94%,there was no similar infection in other departments of the hospital during the same period. The throat swabs from 6 infected HCWs were positive in influenza virus nucleic acid detection.Office for healthcare-associated infection (HAI)man-agement participated the investigation, after active isolation and antiviral treatment, the outbreak was effectively controlled. Conclusion This HAI outbreak is a seasonal influenza H3 outbreak, ventilation and environmental dis-infection in wards should be strengthened when central air conditioning is running,anti-influenza vaccination among HCWs should be performed during the epidemic season of influenza, and surveillance should be strengthened to pre-vent influenza outbreak in hospital.
6.A meta-analysis of proximal femoral nail antirotation and total hip arthroplasty for treating intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(4):602-607
BACKGROUND: Now, the current study has not yet confirmed two treatment methods of the proximal femoral nail antirotation and total hip arthroplasty for treating intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly, which method has more advantages, and there is no clear conclusion at present. OBJECTIVE: To systematical y compare the repair effect of proximal femoral nail antirotation and total hip arthroplasty for treatment of intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly. METHODS: We searched the related literatures from 2011 to 2015 on Wanfang database, PubMed, MEDLINE and Embase database by computer. We retrieved the journals in China by hand and col ected randomized control ed trials on proximal femoral nail antirotation and total hip arthroplasty in the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly. Intraoperative blood loss, operation time, hospitalization time, ambulation time after operation, and Harris score were selected as evaluation indexes. Data were analyzed using RevMan 5.2 software. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Final y, 7 Chinese literatures were included, with 811 patients. The results of meta analysis showed that the hospitalization time and ambulation time after operation were significantly shorter in the total hip arthroplasty group than in the proximal femoral nail antirotation group (P < 0.000 01), which reduced the pain of patients. Operation time and intraoperative blood loss were poorer in the total hip arthroplasty group than in the proximal femoral nail antirotation group (P < 0.000 01). No significant difference in Harris hip score was detected between the two groups (P > 0.05). These results confirmed that the internal fixation of proximal femoral nail antirotation in minimal y invasive therapy when reducing operation time and blood loss has a certain advantage. The total hip arthroplasty can make the recovery of hip function earlier, al ow early weight-bearing walking, reduce the patients’ bedridden time and reduce the complications in bed. Thus, the clinicians in the practical work should choose the appropriate therapy with considering the patient’s condition, damage degree, fracture type, and financial capability.

Objective To investigate urban residents’ willingness-to-pay (WTP) for ambient air pollution control to avoid the adverse health effects in Qingdao, China. Methods A contingent valuation method (CVM) was employed and a sample of 1 050 residents was randomly chosen, 21st to 27th January, 2007. A series of hypothetical, open-ended scenario questions were designed to elicit the respondents’ WTP with face-to-face interviews. A Probit model on the probability of a positive WTP and a stepwise regression model were established to find the relationship between endogenous variables and WTP. Results 1 008 valid questionnaires were obtained. 73.9% respondents believe that air pollution had adverse effects on health. 54.6% respondents cost 100 to 500 Chinese Yuan (CNY) on treatment of respiratory diseases for their whole family. 94.2% respondents were able to express positive WTP and the median WTP was 600 Chinese Yuan (CNY) per household per year. Conclusion Urban residents’ aggregate WTP accounted for 1.25% of annual household income and 11.9% of government investments for air pollution control in 2005. Residents’ age, job and household income variables had significant influence on the probability of a positive WTP. Residents’ household income, education level, expenditure on treatment of respiratory diseases and age significantly influence WTP value.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the relationship between vitamin D level in plasma and concomitant symptoms in children over 4 years of age. Methods Radioimmunoassay was employed to detect the vitamin D level in plasma of 98 children over 4 years of age suffering from monoarticular joint-pain, debility, dizziness and hyperhidrosis. Results Among the 98 cases, 15 cases (rickets) were found to have a vitamin D level of 0-10ng/ml, 26 cases (subclinic rickets) with a level of 10.1-15ng/ml, 55 cases with a level of 15.1-60ng/ml, and the remaining 2 were found to have a level of 61-86ng/ml. A significant positive correlation existed between the low vitamin D level in plasma and the symptoms of joint-pain, debility, dizziness, and hyperhidrosis. Conclusion It is of a diagnostic significance to determine the 25-hydroxyvitanmin D_3 level in plasma to confirm the diagnosis of delayed vitamin D deficiency rickets in children.

Objective Using a bioreactor to culture reendothelializing homograft bioprosthetic valve (HBV) in order to ultimately form viable tissue in vitro, so as to provide basic material for animal experiment and clinical application. Methods The reendothelializign HBV was placed in a pulse duplicator system (“bioreactor”), designed and fabricated by us. These grown under gradually increasing nutrient media flow and pressure for additional 14 days: 125 ml/min at 30 mm Hg (days 1-4), 250 ml/min at 40 mm?Hg (days 5-7), 500 ml/min at 50 mm Hg (days 8-10), 750 ml/min at 75 mm Hg (days 11 to 14). Throughout the studies, the flow device was placed in an incubator with 95% humidity and 5% carbon dioxide. The morphologic structure was observed and photographed by stereomicroscope with 0.5% silver nitrate (AgNO_3)staining and SEM on the 7th, 10th and 14th day. The retention rate of the ECs overlaid onto the HBV was evaluated with the percentage (%). Results The reendothelization level on the surface of the leaflets was 92% before pulsatile-flow-cultivation. But the rate of ECs retention on the scaffold exposured to pulsatile flow was only 36%, 23% and 11% on the 7th, 10th and 14th day, respectively. Conclusion The retention rate of ECs on the scaffold was low for pulsatile-flow-cultivation in vitro. Problems, including deficiency of mature stress fibers in the endothelial cells from MSCs deficiency of the adherence and growth factors still need improvement.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 1988;0(01):-
Objective To expand the NKT cells in vitro and to determine the cytokine releasing of NKT cells during proliferation. Methods Several kind of methods were established to expand TCRV ?24 +/TCRV ?11 + NKT cells from PBMC or purified T lymphocyte. The levels of IL 4,IFN ?and TNF ? of NKT cells were determined by flow cytometry. Results After 19 days' expansion, the largest number of NKT cells increased (23.0?16.7)?10 3 times and the largest ratio of NKT cells to total T lymphocyte was (25.5?7.2)%.The ratio of TCRV ?11 + NKT cells that secreted IL 4,IFN ?and TNF ? was higher than the TCRV?11 T lymphocytes. Conclusion TCRV ?24 +/TCRV ?11 + NKT cells can be expanded in vitro with ? Galcer presented by CD 1d molecule. The NKT cells can also be expanded from PBMC because the monocyte lineage cells within PBMC can express CD 1d molecule and present specific glycolipids like ? Galcer to them.
