Objective To explore a new peptide-based approach independent of HLA to generate antigen-specific CD+ CD8+T cells. Methods Peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) were stimula- ted for 6 h with IE-1 peptide pool. Then the activated IFN-γsecreting ceils were tested by immunomagnetic selection. And the selected cells were cultured with radio-inactivated PBMC in medium with 100 IU/ml IL-2 for 4 weeks. Results The generated T cell lines consisted of IE-1 specific CD4+ T (6.88%) and CD8+ T cells 92.99%, which demonstrated antigen-specific killing and cytokine secretion. Conclusion T ceils can be proliferated with this new procedure, and maintain its phenotype and antigen-specific function.

Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of photorejuvenation of photodamaged skin by intense pulsed light (IPL) and 755nm laser. Methods A total of 187 patients were treated with a series of five or more full-face treatments using IPL and 755nm laser alternatly. After the treatement, the patients and physicians subjectively evaluated improvement in five aspects, including color of the face, telangiectasia, pore, pigmentation, and skin texture. Results According to comprehensive evaluation of the five aspects by the patient and physicians, and as compared to the first score, significant difference was observed (P

Objective To observe the effect of modified Qinghao Biejia Decoction ( QBD) on Th17 cells and renal pathology of MRL/lpr mice with spontaneous systemic lupus erythematosus. Methods Thirty-two female MRL/lpr mice aged 8 to 10 weeks were divided into 4 groups: model group, Chinese medicine group, prednisone group, and combination group, 8 mice in each group. Eight female C57BL/6 mice aged 8 to 10 weeks served as normal control. Mice in Chinese medicine group were given concentrated solution of modified QBD (19.25 g·kg-1·d-1), mice in the prednisone group were given water solution of prednisone acetate (8.75 mg·kg-1·d-1) , mice in the combination group were given the above two kinds of medicine, and mice in the model group and normal control group were given physiological saline. After medication for 7 weeks, spleens and kidneys in all of the groups were taken out for the experiment. Th17 cells in splenic mononuclear cell suspension were detected by flow cytometry, the pathological changes of renal tissue were observed under light microscope, and activity index (AI) of renal tissue in lupus nephritis mice was scored. Results The proportion of Th17 cells in the model group was significantly higher than that of normal control group ( P<0.05) . The proportion of Th17 cells in Chinese medicine group and combination group was lower than that of the model group ( P<0.05) , and prednisone group had higher proportion of Th17 cells than Chinese medicine group ( P<0.05) . Compared with the model group, pathological changes of renal tissue were relieved, and AI scores were decreased in Chinese medicine group, the prednisone group and the combination group ( P<0.05) . Except for the normal control group , AI scores in all groups were positively correlated with the proportion of Th17 cells ( r=0.77, P<0.01) . Conclusion Modified QBD can inhibit the expression of Th17 cells and improve the pathological changes of MRL/lpr mice with lupus nephritis.

To evaluate changes in quality- of- life of adults with concomitant exotropia before and after surgery.
●METHODS:A retrospective cohort method was used in this research. Sixty - five patients with concomitant exotropia ( ranged from 18 - 30 years) were enrolled. Quality of life was studied with 2 different questionnaires [the Adult Strabismus - 20 ( AS - 20) and the MOS 36 -item Short - Form health survey ( SF - 36 )], which patients completed preoperatively and at 3mo postoperatively.
●RESULTS: With the AS - 20, 3mo after surgery, the mean psychosocial and visual function scores of AS- 20 improved significantly (P<0. 01). Similarly, with the SF-36, the mean score in 7 of 8 areas improved significantly ( P < 0. 01 ), including physiological function, role limitations due to physiological health, general health, vitality, social function, role limitations due to emotional problems, mental health and the overall mean score. However, with respect to bodily pain, no significant improvement was found after surgery(P>0. 05).
● CONCLUSlON: Surgical treatment of concomitant exotropia in adults gives a highly significant improvement in quality - of - life scores. We should pay more attention to the impact of strabismus on quality of life clinically to improve the outcome of the surgery.

Objective To evaluate the imaging findings of congenital anomalies of inferior vena eava (IVC) with 64-slice spiral CT. Methods Between January 2008 and May 2009, 6986 patients who had routine abdominal 64-row multi-detector computed tornography were retrospectively analyzed for congenital anomalies of IVC. Results Among 6986 cases, 25 cases with congenital anomalies of IVC were identified. Six case were left IVC, showing IVC left to the aorta inferior to the renal hilum. Ten cases were double IVC, showing two IVC besides the aorta inferior to the renal hilum. Five cases were abnormal renal vein, showing retroaortic and circumaortic left renal vein. Two cases were IVC interruption with collateral circultion by azygous or hemiazygous vein, contrast-enhanced CT scan showing deficiency of the IVC between hepatic and renal hilums, the enlarged azygos vein communicating with IVC at renal level and the hepatice vein draining into the right atrium. Venography showed that IVC draining into the superior vena cava through azygous or hemiazygous veins. One case was interruption of the IVC with portal vein continuation, contrastenhanced CT scan showing the communication between the IVC and portal vein. One case was hemiazygos continuation of a left IVC, contrast-enhanced CT scan demonstrating dilatation hemiazygos continuation of a left IVC and jointed the azygos vein. Conclusion The 64-slice spiral CT can be a diagnostic standard for congenital anomalies of inferior vena cava.
