Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(35):5693-5698
BACKGROUND:Lisfranc injury is rarely seen in clinical practice, with a low incidence and a high misdiagnosis rate. At present, open reduction and internal fixation is the major treatment, but there is little evidence available on the long-term fol ow-up fol owing injury and foot motor functions fol owing surgery. OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the change of foot functions after metal graft internal fixation in patients with Lisfranc injury. METHODS:Eighteen patients with Lisfranc injury were treated with internal fixation of metal grafts, such as Kirschner wire, screws and steel plate. At 6-8 weeks postoperatively, patients began to walk with crutches. After 1 year fol ow-up, the Footscan balance system and AOFAS scores were applied to evaluate the foot stability and function of patients. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After 1 year of internal fixation, al bone fractures were healed, the peak pressure of affected foot in the fourth metatarsal (M4) and the fifth metatarsal (M5) was significantly increased (P<0.05), and the impulse in the fifth metatarsal (M5) and mid-foot bottom (MID) was higher than the contralateral side (P<0.05). The AOFAS score of affected foot was 87.26 ± 21.13 points, the rate of excellent and good efficacy accounted for 88.9%. Internal fixation can rebuild Lisfranc complex stability, the body weight is transferred from the inside to the outside in the front foot, and the remaining pressure did not change significantly, thus the foot function is recovered satisfactorily.

8. lncRNA PCAT19 inhibits the proliferation and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells by adsorbing miR-142-5p and regulating the expression of ING3 gene
Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2020;25(7):721-727
AIM: To investigate the expression of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) PCAT19 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues and cell lines, and to explore its molecular mechanism of inhibiting proliferation and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. METHODS: Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the relative expression of PCAT19 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues and five nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines. The lowest expressing nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line was transfected with empty plasmid (control group) or high expression PCAT19 plasmid (experimental group). qRT-PCR was used to detect transfection efficiency. MTS method and Transwell invasion test were used to detect the effect of overexpressing PCAT19 on the proliferation and invasion ability of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. Bioinformatics predicts target genes for PCAT19. qRT-PCR and Western blot were used to detect target gene expression at mRNA and protein levels. RESULTS: Compared with adjacent tissues, the expression of PCAT19 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues was decreased (P<0.01). Compared with immortalized nasopharyngeal epithelial cells, the expression of PCAT19 in five nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines was significantly reduced (P<0.05), and the expression was the lowest in SUNE-1 cells (P<0.01). Transfection of high-expressing PCAT19 plasmid could significantly promote the expression of PCAT19 (P<0.01). High expression of PCAT19 could inhibit the proliferation ability (P<0.01) and invasive ability (P<0.01) of nasopharyngeal carcinoma SUNE-1 cells. The target gene of PCAT19 was miR-142-5p, the target gene of miR-142-5p was inhibitor of growth gene 3 (ING3). After high expression of PCAT19, miR-142-5p expression was significantly reduced (P<0.01), and the expression of ING3 at both mRNA and protein levels was significantly increased (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: PCAT19 expression is down-regulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues and cell lines. Up-regulating PCAT19 can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma SUNE-1 cells. The mechanism may be that PCAT19 promotes the expression of ING3 gene by adsorbing miR-142-5p.
9. Profile of new natural active compounds in 2014
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2017;48(4):808-842
The standardization of compound nomenclature is of vital importance. The principles of standardization include scientificity, systematization, monosemy, openness, and back-translatability. The standardized compound names should also be cross-translatable from roots of the words and easy to remember. The article indexed 592 new active natural compounds, referencing 222 papers from 11 leading foreign periodicals and four domestic journals. The names of new compounds in the paper may be controversial, but the nomenclature was complied with the above principles of standardization.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(23):2067-2071
OBJECTIVE:
In order to evaluate the potential of matrix metalloproteinase 2(MMP-2) as a prognostic factor for human laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HLSCC).
METHOD:
Seventy-three surgical specimens from patients with HLSCC were reviewed retrospectively regarding MMP-2 expression via immunohistochemistry. Immunostaining was performed using a streptavidin-biotin peroxidase complex technique. The patients were followed-up till June 2014 and the relationship between MMP-2 and clinical data including age, gender, metastasis, clinical type, pathological type, lymph node metastasis and prognosis were analyzed using SPSS 19.0.
RESULT:
The positive expression rate of MMP-2 in 73 patients was 57.53% (42/73). Kaplan-Meier analysis demonstrated statistically significant difference for 5-year overall survival rate between the group with positive and negative MMP-2 expression, the 5-year overall survival rate were 76.0% and 57.5% respectively in the group with negative and positive MMP-2 expression. The site of the primary tumor, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and T grade were related to the prognosis of HLSCC (P were 0.002, 0.009, 0.034 and 0.001 respectively), and there was no significant correlation between age, sex, pathological differentiation and prognosis of HLSCC.
CONCLUSION
MMP-2 was related with worse overall disease survival and could be considered as a potential marker of poor prognosis.
