1.Discussing on the therapy of warming yang in the treatment of tumor
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2012;34(9):808-809
The therapy of removing beat and toxic, strengthening the body to cultivate the fundamental is the mainstream of treating cancer in traditional Chinese medicine up to now,and the therapy of warming yang has been rarely involved. While the pathogenesis of tumor is spleen and kidney yang deficiency in root, and phlegm, stasis, and poison entangled with each other at the secondary position; the main therapeutical principle of tumor is simultaneous application of purging-tonifying therapy while focusing on protecting yang. The author believes that the treatment of cancer should pay attention to the whole concept, especially warming yang for patients with advanced tumors. The therapy of warming yang is an effective way to get rid of phlegm and blood stasis.Patients after radiotherapy and chemotherapy should be paid more attention to warming yang.
2.Primary hepatocellular carcinoma patients with multiple nodules increased short-term recurrence after radical resection
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2015;21(12):816-820
Objective To investigate the relationship between primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with multiple nodules and short-term recurrence after radical resection. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data and follow-up of 692 consecutive HCC patients who underwent curative resection at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from January 2000 to December 2011.The diagnosis of multiple nodules was based on preoperative imaging data and observations in operation. Results Of 692 HCC patients, 126 patients had multiple nodules (18.2%, the MN group) and 566 patients had a single nodule (71.8%, the SN group). The 1-, 2-, 5-, and 10-year overall survival (OS) rates were 86.5%,72.2%, 38.1%, and 23.2% for the MN group, and 93.8%, 82.7%, 58.2%, and 35.7% for the SN group, respectively (P < 0.05).The 1-, 2-, 5-, and 10-year disease-free survival (DFS) rates were 68.6%, 46.8%, 27.2%, and 19.8% for the MN group, and 80.2%, 62.1%, 42.0%, and 34.6% for the SN group, respectively (P < 0.05).Cox regression model analysis showed a maximum nodule diameter of > 5 cm was an independent risk factor of short-term recurrence in the MN group. Conclusions The prognosis of HCC patients with multiple nodules after radical resection was poorer and the short-term recurrence rate was significantly higher than those patients with a single-nodule.A maximum nodal diameter of > 5 cm was an independent risk factor of short-term recurrence for patients with multiple nodules after radical resection. Therefore, patients with multiple nodules, especially > 5 cm, should be followed up closely and they are good candidates for a multiple disciplinary team (MDT) treatment.
3.Combined application of helicobacter pylori stool antigen test and serology in epidemiologic study of helicobacter pylori infection in children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To evaluate the feasibility of combined application of helicobacter pylori stool antigen(HpSA)-and traditional serology in epidemiologic study of helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection in children. Methods Hp serum IgG antibodies were examined among 480 healthy children. Heticobacter pylori stool antigen(HpSA) were measured among children who were seropositive. Hp status was defined as positive when stool antigen test was positive, Hp status was defined as negative when seronegative. A case - control study was conducted to identify risk factors of Hp infection in preschool children. Results Among 480 preschool children, 172 (35 8 %) were sero- positive, 64(13.3 %) with positive result of HpSA test were diagnosed as current Hp infection. Univariate factor analysis demonstrated that Hp infection clustered in families and Hp infection was often acquired in childhood by oral-oral and fecal - oral person to person transmission. Conclusions HpSA and serology screening are two nomnvasive tests, simple not costly, effective and accurate. The combination of these 2 noninvasive methods can be applied in epidemiologic study of Hp infection in childrenJAppl Clin Pediatr,2004,19(11):948-950
4.Clinical analysis of amniotic membrane patches and grafts for acute ocular surface burn
International Eye Science 2015;(1):136-138
AlM: To investigate the effect and value of amniotic membrane patches and grafts for acute ocular surface burn at different degrees.?METHODS: A retrospective analysis of 28 cases ( 28 eyes) affected by ocular chemical or thermal burn with different degree were included in our hospital from March 2007 to March 2012. Amniotic membrane patched was undergone in 13 eyes with fresh amnion that the patients corneal burns degree II or Ⅲ with partial limbal buns at degree Ⅳ. Amniotic membrane grafts was performed in 15 eyes with fresh amnion that the patients all corneal burns at degree Ⅲ with the whole limbal necrosis without severe eyelid defect. The follow-up time ranged 6 ~24mo. The postoperative visual acuity, the condition of amniotic membrane transplant, renovation of cornea and complications were observed.?RESULTS: Postoperative corrected visual acuity was improved in 20 eyes (71%), it was not changed in 5 eyes (18%), the visual acuity declined in 3 eyes (11%). The amniotic membrane survived in 23 eyes and the survival rate was up to 82%. The cornea of 4 eyes recovered to transparent, nebula emceed in 8 eyes eventually, corneal macula emerged in 10 eyes, 4 eyes ended up with leukoma, 2 eyes developed corneal melting after therapy, then received lamellar keratoplasty. Corneal surface become epithelization after amnion patches or grafts, but any of them have recurrent epithelial erosion, and become stable epithalization after repeat operation.?CONCLUSlON: Amniotic membrane patches and grafts is an effective method to deal with acute ocular surface burn.

6.THE STUDY OF DIRECT DIFFERENTIATION OF MICE EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS INTO CARDIOMYOCYTES INDUCED BY TGF-?_1 AND CO-CULTURE WITH VISCERAL ENDODERM LIKE END-2 CELLS
Acta Anatomica Sinica 2002;0(06):-
Objective To study the differentiation of embryonic stem cells(ESCs) induced by transforming growth factor-?_1(TGF-?_1) and co_cultured with visceral endoderm like END_2 cells, and explore cardiomyocytes induction effects of the combined techniques Methods Day 2-3 embryoid bodies(EBs) were derived from ESCs,and then TGF-?_1 was added or/and co_cultured with END_2 cells or END_2 cells conditioned medium.Spontaneous differentiation was as a control. The expression of cardiac specific ?-sarcmeric actin(?-actin) and cardiac troponin_T(TnT) was detected by immunofluoresence staining. The ultrastructural analysis for ESCs_derived cardiomyocytes was scanned by transmission electron micrograph. Results The total percentage of beating EBs treated with TGF-?_1,co_cultured with END_2 cells,or END_2 cell conditioned medium was(43?2.08)%,(69?3.61)%,(65?3.06)%,respectively.All the beating cardiomyocytes derived from ESCs expressed cardiac_specific proteins for ?-actin and TnT,and could be observed the cardiac_specific ultrastructure.Interestingly, the total percentage of beating EBs treated with the combined method was(91?1.52)%.(P

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2002;0(04):-
Objective To compare the results of 3 methods to treat complete dislocation of acromioclavicular joint. Methods Three different surgical techniques were employed: Dewars procedure (in Group A of 32 cases),tension band wiring (in Group A of 44 cases), and Wolter plate fixation (in Group A of 20 cases). There were 81 males and 15 females, or totally 85 cases of acute dislocation and 11 chronic dislocation. Results 96 cases were followed up with an average period of 50 months. Acording to karlssons standards, in group A, 26 patients were assessed as good, 5 as fair and 1 as poor. In group B, 20 patients were assessed as good, 13 as fair and 11 as poor. In group C, 15 patients were assessed as good, 4 as fair and 1 as poor. There were differences between A and B, C and B. But there werent statistic differences between A and C. Conclusion The Dawers procedure is believed to be a good, simple and safe method to treat acromioclavicular joint dislocation, with no need of a second operation to remove the implant and with less complications.
