OBJECTIVE To investigate the pathogenic causes of community-acquired pneumonia(CAP) in adult patients in Tongling.METHODS A prospective study was performed on 260 consecutive adult patients with CAP in Tongling city during last three years.Bacteria culture of sputum and serological tests in paired serum samples were detected.RESULTS Of 260 patients with etiological evaluation,128(49.2%) patients had an identifiable etiology,63(24.2%) had positive outcome from sputum cultured, atypical pathogens were detected from 75(28.8%)patients.Pathogens identified in 128 patients were:Mycoplasma pneumoniae(35.4%),Chlamydia pneumoniae(17.7%) and Streptococcus pneumoniae(13.6%).6.5% All patients had mixed infection. The resistance rate of S.pneumoniae to penicillin and erythromycin was 5 and 50%,respectively.CONCLUSIONS Atypical pathogens have important role in CAP,of which M.pneumoniae is the most common pathogen.S.pneumoniae and K.pneumoniae are the commonly encountered bacteria for CAP in Tongling.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for the optimization of automatic system in outpatient pharmacy of the hospital. METHODS:Based on PDCA(Plan,Do,Check and Action)cycle management, the modules for adding and dispensing drugs of the automatic system in the outpatient pharmacy were optimized and the work records and quality indexes before (July-September in 2013) and after (May-July in 2014) the optimization were compared. RESULTS:By the optimization of the software system, hardware equipment and staff training, the error rate of adding drugs was reduced by 95%,daily box number of added drugs was increased by 30.9%,monthly box number of drugs damaged by the machine was decreased by 80%,the error rate of dropping drugs was decreased by 96.6%,and the frequency of machine fault was decreased by 87.5%,compared with before. CONCLU-SIONS:By PDCA cycle management, the work efficiency of automatic outpatient pharmacy can be improved, and the errors of prescription dispensing are reduced.

To study the protective effect and the mechanism of asiatic acid (AA) from Potentilla chinensis on alcohol hepatic injury in rats. Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups: the normal control group, the AA control group (8 mg · kg(-1) AA), the model group (5.0-9.0 g · kg(-1) alcohol) and high, medium and low-dose AA-treated groups (alcohol + 8, 4, 2 mg · kg(-1) AA). Each group was orally administered with the corresponding drugs once a day for 24 weeks. Approximately 1. 5 hours after the final administration, all rats were killed, and their blood samples and hepatic tissues were collected. The AST and ALT in rat serum and the contents of MPO, TNF-α, IL-1β, SOD, GSH-Px, GSH-Rd and MDA in hepatic tissues were detected. The expressions of NF-κB, TLR4, CD14, MyD88, TRIF and protein expression in hepatic tissues were measured by western blot. The pathological changes in liver tissues were observed by histological examination. The results showed that compared with the model group, the AA-treated groups showed significant decreases in serum ALT, AST and MDA and increases in the activities of SOD, GSH-Px, GSH-Rd and MPO. Moreover, AA markedly inhibited the expressions of TNF-α, IL-1β, TLR4, CD14, MyD88 and NF-κB. The histological examination showed alleviated hepatic issue ijury to varying degrees. In short, asiatic acid (AA) from P. chinensis could protect alcohol-induced hepatic injury in rats. Its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of NF-κB inactivation and the reduction of inflammatory response.

8.Study on the up-regulation of B7 molecules expression and immunogenicity of acute leukemia cells induced by interleukin 7.
Chinese Journal of Hematology 2005;26(5):289-292
OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of interleukin 7 (IL-7) on B7 molecules expression and immunogenicity of acute leukemia (AL) cells.
METHODSThe B7 molecules expression on fresh acute leukemia cells and on the IL-7 exposed leukemia cells was detected by FACScan cytometer. B7-1 and B7-2 mRNA in IL-7 treated HL-60 cells were detected by reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR). The stimulation of proliferation of allogeneic peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMNC) by IL-7 treated leukemia cells was detected by MTT method. The level of interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) secreted by the stimulated PBMNC was determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). The blocking experiments were performed using monoclonal antibodies against B7-1, B7-2 and W6/32.
RESULTSB7-1 was weakly expressed in three, whereas B7-2 did in only one of eleven AL patients. IL-7 significantly enhanced B7 molecules expression on AL cells in a time-dependent manner. Furthermore, IL-7 could induce higher expression of B7-1 and B7-2 mRNAs on HL-60 cells. IL-7 treated leukemia cells could stimulate PBMNC proliferation and promote their IFN-gamma production. Anti-B7-1 and anti W6/32 but not anti-B7-2 monoclonal antibodies significantly inhibited the stimulated PBMNC proliferation and IFN-gamma secretion.
CONCLUSIONFresh AL cells express low level of B7-1 and B7-2 molecules. IL-7 enhances the B7 molecules expression on AL cells. The IL-7-treated leukemia cells can significantly stimulate the proliferation of allogeneic PBMNC and induce their IFN gamma secretion.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2011;44(9):613-618
ObjectiveTo investigate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)of rs11833579 and rs12425791 on chromosome 12pl3 with cerebral infarction in the Fujian Han population.MethodsA case-control association study containing a total of 216 cases and 279 controls was carried out.The genotypes of two polymorphisms were evaluated by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) and direct DNA sequencing followed by association analysis. Results The frequency of G > A genotype of rs12425791 in patients with cerebral infarction was lower than that in the controls (34. 3% vs 43.4% , x2 = 4. 298 ,P < 0. 05 ) after stratified by causes of cerebral infarction, there was no significant difference in this genotype between large-artery atherosclerosis and controls.Association analysis was performed by logistic regression model after adjusting by sex, age, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, smoking and drinking. Rs12425791 G > A genotype was significantly associated with both cerebral infarction ( OR = 0. 627, 95% CI 0. 417-0. 941, P = 0. 024 ) and large-artery atherosclerosis ( OR =0. 613, 95% CI 0. 396-0. 949 ,P =0. 028). G > A genotype might be a potential protective factor in male( OR =0. 597, 95% CI 0. 364-0. 978, P =0. 041 ). rs11833579 G > A genotype frequency was similar between cases and controls. Conclusion rs12425791 G > A on chromosome 12p13 might be a genetic marker for atherothrombotic brain infarction in Han population of Fujian.
