Chinese journal of integrative medicine 2022;28(6):547-553
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the current status and further development of Panax genus and 6 important individual species including P. notoginseng, P. quinquefolium, P. vietnamensis, P. japonicus, P. stipuleanatus and P. zingiberensis.
METHODS:
The bibliometric analysis was based on the Web of Science core database platform from Thomson Reuters. Totally, 7,574 records of scientific research of Panax species published from 1900-2019 were analyzed. The statistical and visualization analysis was performed by CiteSpace and HistCite software.
RESULTS:
The academic research of Panax species increase promptly. Plant science is the main research field while research and experimental medicine and agricultural engineering will be the further development tendency. Particularly, the discrimination research of P. notoginseng will be the research tendency among Panax species, especially diversity research. In addition, P. vietnamensis deserves more attention in the genus Panax.
CONCLUSION
This research provides a reference for further research of the genus and individual species.

The PJN has served its purpose as a venue for both Filipino and foreign nurses to publish their original articles, reflection, commentaries, and other scholarly written works on the key areas: nursing practice and nursing education. Marking its 51st year, the aim of this = study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis and report publication trends of PJN for the period of 1966-2017. VOSviewer® analyzed the bibliometric characteristics of PJN using the corpus extracted from the Scopus® bibliographical database. There were 724 published documents. Among them, there were 606 original articles, 43 editorials, 22 reviews, 21 conference papers, 18 short surveys, 10 notes, and 4 letters. VOSviewer® facilitated the cluster analyses without the need to have an in-depth knowledge of clustering techniques and without requiring advanced computer skills. From this, the auto-generated themes were reviewed along with the PJN 's aims/objectives such as "nursing," "human," 'health' "primary health care," 'nurses" "nursing education," and healthcare "organizations" that are apparent during the publication period between the1970s to 2010s. Various researchers both in the academic and service institutions published their works in PJN that emulate vital communication patterns in the specific fields that the journal embodies. For this reason, the authors should be instructed to list their affiliations with proper accreditation to ensure accurate publication accurate author citation history, co-authorship citations, and other bibliometric indicators. The PJN will continue to support all the researchers in the local and international community to achieve one common goal - to advance and sustain the culture of scholarship in nursing.

3.The Wind of Change in Psychiatric Publications.
Psychiatry Investigation 2008;5(2):67-69
It is getting more difficult to get papers published that it used to be, even though many more journals are available. This article is written mainly for young researchers who are ambitious to get their research published in the best possible journals. A systematic strategic policy is suggested that does not necessarily contradict the aims of achieving the best possible science.

Archives of Plastic Surgery 2015;42(4):411-418
BACKGROUND: The plastic surgery literature is vast, consisting of a plethora of diverse articles written by a myriad of illustrious authors. Despite this considerable archive of published material, it remains nebulous as to which precise papers have had the greatest impact on our specialty. The aim of this study was to identify the most cited papers in the plastic surgery literature and perform a citation analysis paying particular attention to the evidence levels of the clinical studies. METHODS: We identified the 50 most cited papers published in the 20 highest impact plastic surgery journals through the Web of Science. The articles were ranked in order of number of citations acquired and level of evidence assessed. RESULTS: The top 50 cited papers were published in six different journals between the years 1957 and 2007. Forty-two of the papers in the top 50 were considered as level IV or V evidence. No level I or II evidence was present in the top 50 list. The average level of evidence of the top 50 papers was 4.28. CONCLUSIONS: In the plastic surgery literature, no positive correlation exists between a high number of citations and a high level of evidence. Anatomical reconstructive challenges tend to be the main focus of plastic surgery rather than pathologic diseases and consequently, papers with lower levels of evidence are relatively more valuable in plastic surgery than many other specialties.

5.Analysis of articles published in Chin J Surg since founded in 1951.
Chinese Journal of Surgery 2016;54(1):63-68
OBJECTIVETo discuss the characteristics of the articles published in Chin J Surg from 1951 to 2015.
METHODSThe journals and articles of Acad Surg from 1951 to 1952 and Chin J Surg from 1953 to 2015 were analyzed. The subjects, foundation, basic medical study, international cooperation of the articles were recorded.
RESULTSIn 65 years, there were 20 090 academic articles published in Chin J Surg. The proportions of general surgery, orthopedic surgery, thoracocardiac surgery, urology surgery and neurosurgery articles were 34.08%, 17.96%, 13.09%, 11.91% and 5.85%, respectively. There were 14.83% (1 728/11 653) articles receiving foundation, and 9.42% (1 817/19 290) articles reporting basic medical study. There were 14.8% articles from international authors and 119 articles with international cooperation. From 2000 to 2003, 29 articles in original English were published.
CONCLUSIONSThe coverage of Chin J Surg contains all the fields of surgery. It tends to publish the studies focus on clinical issues.Through reinforcing the content plan and optimizing the show form, the more Chinese surgical research achievements could be shared by the surgeons worldwide.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2007;27(3):229-232
OBJECTIVETo find out the dominant diseases in the clinic of modern acupuncture.
METHODSBy means of bibliometrics, clinical acupuncture study literatures from 1978 to 2004, searched from CBM database, were sorted and counted to show the different clinical utilizing quantities and developing trends of different disease groups in the acupuncture clinic.
RESULTSObviously dominant type: nervous system diseases; mature type: motor system diseases; developing type: 3 kind of diseases including psychosis; premature type: diseases related with surgery; steady type: 3 kind of diseases including digestive system diseases (diseases of liver and gallbladder are not included); pre-developing diseases: 5 kind of diseases including otorhinolaryngologic diseases.
CONCLUSIONAmong all these types, obvious advantage type and mature type are the most distinguishing. Developing type has the most significant ascending trend. Premature type has relatively strong developing potentiality.
