1.Neutrophil as double-edged swords in fungal keratitis
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2015;33(5):470-473
Fungal keratitis is a corneal disease caused by fungal infection with high possibility of blindness, and the morbidity is being higher year by year. Both native immune and adaptive immune are included during antifungi process in which the fungi is killed by native immune especially by neutrophil. The neutrophil kill the fungi not only by oxygen-dependent and oxygen-independent way but also by the neutrophil extracellular traps which is discovered in recent years. The enzyme and reactive oxygen species(ROS) released by the neutrophil are included in the process of fungi killing. But those materials can cause tissue damage which may cause the scar or even corneal perforation. This review mainly focused on the mechanism how the neutrophil kill fungi and cause tissue damage.
2.The prospects of intelligent electronic device on evidence-based nursing research and practice
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2014;30(4):1-4
The paper reports a review on the current situation of the hierarchy and quality of the evidence related to both national and international evidence-based nursing research and practice. The limitations and barriers have been analyzed from both research methodology and data acquisition technique aspects. The available evidences provided by past studies are limited in post hoc indicators (e.g.hospital stay, fatigue, stress or sleep quality, etc.) and subjective methodologies (e.g.questionnaire,self-report or interview, etc.),that restrains the further development of evidence-based healthcare,in terms of its reliability, validity and application. The advantages/disadvantages and feasibility of new potential technologies, such as body sensors and smart phones, have also been discussed.
3.Relationships between serum resistin, adiponectin levels and bone mineral density in Chinese men: Data analysis of 232 volunteers
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(24):4787-4790
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the correlation of serum resistin and adiponectJn Ievels with bone mineral density(BMD)in 232 healthy male volunteers in Changsha area.METHODS:A totaI of 232 healthy Chinese men of Han population were selected randomly from Changsha area. All subjects gave their informed consent to participate in this study.Subjects were excluded from the study if they had conditions or received treatment that affecting bone metabolism.Serum adiponectin and resistin levels were determined by ELISA.BMD was measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry in total body, lumbar spine, and total hip.Body fat mass and lean body mass were measured by the whole body scanning. The correlation of serum adiponectin and resistin levels with fat mass and BMD at various sites were analyzed;the predictors of BMD at various sites was assayed using multiple linear stepwise regression analysis.RESULTS:Adiponectin was negatively correlated with fat mass(r=-0.216.P<0.05),while resistin had no correlation with fat mass. The correlation disappeared after adjustment for age and fat mass(r=-0.006,P>0.05).The significant negative correlations between adiponectin and BMD were found, and remained significant after adjustment for age and fat mass. There was no correlation between resistin and BMD at various sites. In the multiple linear stepwise regression analysis.adiponectin was an independent predictor of BMD in men.CONCLUSION:Resistin js not correlated with fat mass and BMD at various sites.Adiponectin is correlated with fat mass, and has a negative correlation with BMD at various sites,it is an independent predictor of BMD in Chinese men.

The activity of eNOS was singificantly depressed by a high concentration of glucose in a concentration-and time-dependent manners after incubation of HUVECs with different concentrations of glucose and with high glucose plus insulin for different times. The physiological concentration of insulin can partially reverse the inhibitions of the activity and expression of eNOS induced by high concentration of glucose.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(08):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of radiofrequeney ablation on tachyrhythmia and cardiac acute injure. Methods Endomyocardin was signified and ablated using routine methods, the effects of radiofrequency ablation on cardiac autonomic nerve function, cardiac systolic function, radiofrequency electric injury and changes of troponin,SOD and endothelin level in pre-operation and post-operation were evaluated to study RFCA procedure caused cardiac acute injury. Results Thirty-eight patients with tachyarrhythmia underwant RFCA.The successful rate was 100%,and none had serious complications.Postoperative LF and HF were reduced significantly as compared with preoperation,Atrium and ventricle premature beats had no significant difference before and after RFCA.Cardiac systolic function had no significant changes before and after procedure, but troponin,SOD and endothelin levels were significantly higher in postoperation than those of preoperation. Conclusions RFCA is a principal therapy of tachyarrhythmia because its excellent therapeutic effect, less side effect and eradication,RFCA has acute cardiac injury, but the injury is slight.

Objective To explore the microneurosurgical treatment of recurrent intra-spinal canal tumors. Methods The clinical data on the microsurgical parameters, operative procedures, operative efficacy and post-operative complications of 16 cases with recurrent intra-spinal canal tumors from June 1993 to June 2002 were reviewed retrospectively. Results Under the operative microscope, the tumors were totally removed in 10 cases, subtotally in 4 cases, and partially in 2 cases. Fllowed up from 5 months to 8 years, 11 cases recovered well, 4 cases suffered from moderate disability, and 1 case died. Preoperative CT or MRI scan, knowledge of the anatomy and structures, and skillful operative techinique all were important to microsurgical treatment of recurrent intra-spinal canal tumors. Conclusion Once diagnosis of recurrent intra-spinal canal tumors, the operative treatment is effective. Radiation therapy for the malignant tumors or incompletely removed recurrent tumors is necessary.
