Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
AIM: To determine whether vasorelaxation induced by cAMP is dependent on eNOS activation.METHODS: A constant perfusion model of rabbit femoral artery was used to observe the changes of perfusion pressure before and after intra-arterial infusing different concentrations of dbcAMP(a membrane-permeable cAMP analogue) or forskolin(a direct stimulator of adenyl cyclase) and the effects of NOS inhibitor L-NAME on their actions.RESULTS: Both dbcAMP and forskolin induced concentration-dependent relaxation of rabbit femoral artery bed and NOS inhibitor L-NAME partly inhibited this vasorelaxation.CONCLUSION: Vasorelaxation induced by cAMP is mediated partly through eNOS activation.

5. HPLC fingerprint of Moutan Cortex
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(7):900-904
Objective: To establish the fingerprint of Moutan Cortex by HPLC. Methods: The chromatographic fingerprint was obtained with Dikma Diamonsil C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) and gradient eluted with acetonitrile and water (with 0.085% phosphoric acid). The column temperature was maintained at 35 °C, and the flow rate was 1 mL/min. The detection wavelength was 254 (0-21.5 min), 230 (21.5-45 min), and 254 nm (45-60 min). The injection volume was 20 μL. The peaks were identified by LC-MS/MS. Results: The method had good precision, stability, and repeatability. Eighteen chromatographic peaks among 20 common peaks were identified by LC-MS/MS. Ten batches of Moutan Cortex were determined, and the similarities were above 0.96.Conclusion: The study lays the foundation for the full quality evaluation of Moutan Cortex.

OBJECTIVE:
To research the correlation between development of sphenoid sinus and age in normal children and adolescents by 3-D CT images.
METHOD:
Review of CT images of the skulls of 120 children and adolescents aged 0~20 years old. They were divided into five groups. Then reconstructed 3-D shape of the sphenoid sinus, and measureed the maximal anteroposterior diameter, longitudinal diameter, and transverse diameter of the bilateral sphenoid sinus by the 2-D and 3-D approach respectively, then process statistical analysis.
RESULT:
Pearson analyses revealed a positive correlation between various diameters of sphenoid sinus measured by 2-D and 3-D approach and age (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION
The development of sphenoid sinus has a linear correlation with age, and increases with age and growth in Yunnan region. It helps to know the three-dimensional CT images of the sphenoid sinus in children and adolescents by Simplant software, thereby allow the clinicians to understand the current situation of the development of sphenoid sinus. Meanwhile, it contributes to preoperative evaluation of sinus problems.
