Objective To investigate the test-retest reliability and inter-rater reliability of the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA),Wolf's motor function test (WMFT),the box-block test (BBT) and the nine-hole peg test (NHPT) in assessing the upper limb motor function of stroke patients. Methods Eighteen stroke patients participated in the study. Each patient was assessed twice within 2 hours with the U-FMA,WMFT,the BBT and the NHPT.Two raters recorded each session separately.Test-retest reliability was investigated by comparing the assessment results of different sessions; interrater reliability was identified by analyzing the assessment results of different raters. Results The intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) for the U-FMA were 0.988 on test-retest reliability and 0.959 on inter-rater reliability. The ICC of WMFT by mean and median time were respectively 0.996 and 0.393 on test-retest reliability and both 1.000 on inter-rater reliability. The ICC of WMFT by score mean was O.989 for test-retest reliability and 0.977 for inter-rater reliability. The ICC for test-retest reliability of the BBT using affected hand counts and the difference in counts between the affected and un-affected hand were respectively 0.975 and 0.982.The ICC of the NHPT using affected hand times and the difference between the affected hand and unaffected hand times were respectively 0.937 and 0.936 for test-retest reliability, and both 1.000 for inter-rater reliability. Conclusion The U-FMA,WMFT,the BBT and the NHPT are all measurements with good test-retest reliability and inter-rater reliability. They are reliable for assessing the upper extremity motor function of stroke patients.
3.The analysis of epidemioiogical and clinical characteristics of 67 clinical cases of adult-measles
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(09):-
Objective To evaluate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of adult-measles.Methods The clinical data of 67 patients with adult-measles were retrospectively analyzed. Results In summary,67 pa- tients with measles were involved in this study, with 39 males and 28 females. The gender rate was 1.39:1 and the average age was about 32 years old. There were 39 peasants and 28 workers & officials of 67 patients. The peak of the incidence of disease emerged in April and June(40.3%),especially from November 2000 to October 2004 (67.2%),and the positive rate of measles virus IgM antibody in serum was 95.1%(39/41).There were 58 patients (86.6%)who had the fever beyond 39℃and 18 patients(26.9%)who had measles induced viral hepatitis.Con- clusions There is a trend that measles may be related to the nonstandard inoculation of measles vaccine of the de- crease of IgM antibody levels and so on.Meanwhile, serious toxemic symptoms and liver damage can be clinically ob- served.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2013;19(4):371-374
Objective To investigate the criterion validity of Wolf motor function test (WMFT), BOX-BLOCK TEST (BBT), Nine-Hole Peg Test for assessing upper limb motor function in stroke patients with hemiplegia, as well as the correlation between them. Methods 21 stroke patients participated in the study. 21 stroke patients were assessed once with WMFT, BBT, Nine-Hole Peg Test and U-FMA by one rater. All the 4 tests were assessed on the same day for each patient. The total time of WMFT, the total score of WMFT, the counts of BBT, the time of Nine-Hole Peg Test and the sore of U-FMA were recorded. The Spearman correlation was used to analyze the criterion validity and the correlation. Results and Conclusion Both the total score of WMFT and the BBT counts correlated with U-FMA score (P<0.01). The time of Nine-Hole Peg Test and the total time of the WMFT were not correlated with U-FMA score (P>0.05). The total time of the WMFT and the total score of the WMFT were not correlated (P>0.05). The BBT counts and the total score of the WMFT were correlated (P<0.01). The time of Nine-Hole Peg Test and the total time of WMFT were correlated (P<0.01).

Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 2014;(1):53-55
Objective To analyze the characteristic and the clinical application of high -frequency stimulation ABR for the patients with unilateral sudden deafness .Methods 40 patients aged 17~45 with unilateral sudden deaf-ness(40 health ears ,subject group)and 20 normal volunteers (40 ears ,control group)were selected to receive high and low frequency stimulation ABRs and pure tone audiometry .Results There were no statistical differences be-tween subject group and control group in pure tone audiometry .The wave Ⅰlatency of high -frequency ABR was longer in the subject group than that in the control group(P<0 .001) .The abnormal rate of Ⅰ - Ⅴ interval between high and low frequency stimulation ABRs was 62 .5% (25/40) in the subject group ,and 5% (2/40) in the control group .There were statistical differences between the two groups (χ2 =29 .574 ,P<0 .001) .Conclusion The waveⅠlatency of high-frequency ABR was longer and the abnormal rate of Ⅰ - Ⅴ interval markedly increased in the health ear of patients with unilateral sudden deafness .This may suggest that the contralateral ear may have an ab-normal blood supply of the inner ear when single side sudden deafness happened .High frequency stimulation ABR can be used to detect the potential changes of contralateral ear before the hearing loss occurred .

ObjectiveTo analyze the risk factors of nosocomial infection of patients with spinal cord injury.MethodsRetrospective surveys of nosocomial infection including risk factors, pathogen analysis and drug sensitivity tests were carried out for 88 cases with spinal cord injury in our hospital from 1996 to 2002.ResultsIt showed that the rate of nosocomial infection was 90.91% with 46.59% of urinary tract infection and 32.95% of respiratory tract infection. Nosocomial infection was closely related with such factors as the disease of spinal cord, the use of antibiotics, invasive operation, age and disturbance of disease.ConclusionReducing risk factors and using antibiotics reasonably are effective measures to reduce nosocomial infection of patients with spinal cord injury.
9.Epithelial to mesenchymal transition in the progression of tubulointerstitial fibrosis.
Chinese Medical Journal 2007;120(21):1925-1930
OBJECTIVETo review the mechanisms of epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and its role in the progression of tubulointerstitial fibrosis.
DATA SOURCESThe data used in this review were obtained mainly from the studies of EMT reported from 2000-2006.
STUDY SELECTIONRelevant articles on studies of EMT in tubulointerstitial fibrosis were selected. Data were mainly extracted from the 45 articles listed in the reference section of this review.
RESULTSThe process of EMT has gained wide recognition as candidate mechanism in progression of chronic fibrotic disorders. New markers were identified and facilitate the observation of EMT. EMT is regulated by many factors through activation of kinase-dependent signaling cascades. Recent findings suggest that EMT is a reversible process, which can be controlled by factors for their epithelial inducing activities.
CONCLUSIONRemarkable progresses of EMT research have been made recently. Preventing or reversing EMT is a promising strategy against renal fibrosis.
