3.Hemodynamic Study of Patients with Budd-Chiari Syndrome by Duplex Doppler Ultrasound
Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 1996;5(2):56-59,后插18
The hemodynamic features of the involved blood vessels in 11 patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome were studied by duplex Doppler SODography. The results showed that there were abnomalities in the direction, velocity, nature and spectral patterns of the blood flows of the involved blood vessels,It is suggested that duplex Doppler ultrasound examination can nonmvasively obtain the hemodynarnic data of inferior vena cava, hepatic veins and portal vein and is very valuable in the clinical analysis, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of the theurapeutic effect of Budd-Chiari syndrome.
4.Agroinfection of sweet potato by vacuum inifltration of an infectious sweepovirus
Virologica Sinica 2014;(3):148-154
Sweepovirus is an important monopartite begomovirus that infects plants of the genus Ipomoea worldwide. Development of artiifcial infection methods for sweepovirus using agroinoculation is a highly efficient means of studying infectivity in sweet potato. Unlike other begomoviruses, it has proven difficult to infect sweet potato plants with sweepoviruses using infectious clones. A novel sweepovirus, called Sweet potato leaf curl virus-Jiangsu (SPLCV-JS), was recently identiifed in China. In addition, the infectivity of the SPLCV-JS clone has been demonstrated in Nicotiana benthamiana. Here we describe the agroinfection of the sweet potato cultivar Xushu 22 with the SPLCV-JS infectious clone using vacuum inifltration. Yellowing symptoms were observed in newly emerged leaves. Molecular analysis confirmed successful inoculation by the detection of viral DNA. A synergistic effect of SPLCV-JS and the heterologous betasatellite DNA-βof Tomato yellow leaf curl China virus isolate Y10 (TYLCCNV-Y10) on enhanced symptom severity and viral DNA accumulation was conifrmed. The development of a routine agroinoculation system in sweet potato with SPLCV-JS using vacuum inifltration should facilitate the molecular study of sweepovirus in this host and permit the evaluation of virus resistance of sweet potato plants in breeding programs.
5.The progression of chimeric antigen receptor modified T cells in malignant tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2014;(7):495-499
Recentyearshavewitnessedmuchprogressinbothbasicresearchandclinicaltrialsregar-ding cancer immunotherapy with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered T cells.CAR combine the varia-ble regions of a specific monoclonal antibody (scFv)with the CD3ζendodomain.The extracellular domain of CAR-engineered T cells directly dock to the tumor-associated antigen (TAA).When T cells bind to target anti-gens,they mediated redirected cytotoxicity and secrete a series of cytokines such as Perforin,Granzyme,Inter-feron-γ(IFN-γ)and Tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),which would eventually lead to the necrosis of tumor cells.Although the antitumor response of the CAR-engineered T cells is considered as successful and surpri-sing,it should be noted that some safety issues have been observed in other several basic researches and clinical trials. This overview focuses upon the utility and safety of the CAR-engineered T cells.
6.The effect of p70S6K1 and 4EBP1 protein in colorectal cancer
Journal of International Oncology 2015;(5):392-394
The phosphatidylinositide-3-kinase(PI3K)/ protein kinase B(Akt)/ mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)pathway is recognized to have an important role in the development and progression of colo-rectal cancer(CRC). The most extensively characterized downstream targets of mTORC1 are ribosomal protein S6 kinase 1(p70S6K1)and eukaryotic translation initiation factor(eIF)4E-binding protein 1(4EBP1),both of which are crucial to the regulation of protein synthesis. The abnormal expression of p70S6K1 and 4EBP1 in CRC has become the focus of attention.
7.In vitro culture and biological characteristics of rat cementoblasts
Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(03):-
Objective: To investigate the feasibility of culturing and identifying the cementoblasts in vitro and to study the biological characteristics of rat cementoblasts. Methods: Osteoblasts, PDL fibroblasts and cementoblasts were obtained from alveolar bone and the root surface of rat first molars and cultured with a 2-step method of enzyme digestion/explant technique. Bone osteocalcin(OCN) and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) were detected by quantitative immunohistochemical examination. Alizarin Red S was used to examine the formation of calcified nodules under conditional culture. Results: Primarily cultured cells could be subcultured. Osteoblasts were identified by the expression of OCN and ALP at heigh level, cementoblasts by OCN , PDL fibroblasts by ALP at moderate level, cell clusters/nodules of cementoblasts were observed as the cells approached confluence. Conclusion: Cementoblast-like cells may be cultured in vitro.
8.Correlation between thyroid antibody level and carotid atherosclerotic plaque in patients with acute ischemic stroke
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2016;24(6):524-528
Objective To investigate the correlation between thyroid antibody level and carotid atherosclerotic plaque in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods Consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled retrospectively. They were divided into a non-plaque group and a plaque group according to the findings of carotid artery color-Doppler ultrasonography. The plaque group was redivided into a stable plaque subgroup and a non-stable plaque subgroup.Chemiluminescence method was used to measure the serum thyroperoxidase antibodies (TPOAb) and thyroglobulin antibodies (TGAb) levels and they were compared. Results A total of 383 patients were enrolled in the study, including 116 (30.3%) did not have plaque and 267 (69.7%) had plaque,68 of them had unstable plaque, and 199 had stable plaque. The level of TGAb in the plaque group was significantly higher than that in the non-plaque group (Z =-4.826,P <0.001).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the level of TGAb might be an independent risk factors for carotid plaque (odds ratio 1.007,95% confidence interval 1.001-1.012;P =0.016).The serum level of TPOAb in the stable plaque group was significantly higher than that in the unstable plaque group (Z =-2.114,P=0.035),but multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that it was not the independent risk factor for unstable plaque (odds ratio 1.001,95% confidence interval 0.996-1.006;P =0.786).Conclusions The level of serum thyroid antibodies increased in patients with acute ischemic stroke, especially the increased level of TGAb might be associated with the occurrence and development of carotid atherosclerotic plaque, however,it was not associated with the plaque stability.
9.Nutrition status of acute stroke patients with hypothyroidism
Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2009;17(2):98-100
Objective To evaluate the nutrition status and the prognosis of acute stroke patients with hy-pothyroidism during hospitalization. Methods The clinical data of 28 acute stroke patients with hypothyroidism (study group) and 28 stroke patients with normal thyroid function (control group) were retrospectively analyzed. Results After (10±4) days of hospitalization, hemoglobin and serum albumin levels in study group significantlydecreased ( P < 0. 05 ). The requirement of calories and protein, incidence of pulmonary infections, alimentarytract hemorrhage and diarrhea, and hospital stays were significantly higher in study group than in control group (P < 0. 05 ). Conclusion The nutrition status is poor in acute stroke patients with hypothyroidism, who were more easier to be suffered from clinical complications and worse prognosis.
