Objective To establish a method for determination of carbendazim(MBC) in fruits by using novel activated carbon fiber SMPE coupled with GC.Methods Carbendazim(MBC) in the fruits was determined by homemade activated carbon fiber-solid phase microextraction(ACF-SPME) coupled with GC-ECD.The conditions were optimized. Results The linear range was 1-100 ?g/L.The detection limit was 0.002 ?g/L.The recovery rates were 89%-95% with the relative standard deviation(RSD) was 5.6%.This method had successfully been applied to the determination of MBC in the fruits. Conclusion This method reveals a lower detection limit, high accuracy and needs no organic solvent,it is suitable for the determination of MBC in fruit.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2019;40(1):58-61
Objective:
To investigate the correlation between sleep quality and the use of smart phone before bed in middle school students, and to provide a reference for relevant prevention and control.
Methods:
A total of 3 749 students from 4 middle school which were randomly selected by stratified cluster sampling method were assessed with selfdesigned questionnaire for the students’ general information, smart phone usage before bed,as well as the Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS),and Insomnia Severity Index(ISI).
Results:
A total of 63.17% of students in the seventh grade used mobile phones before going to bed. 67.04% in the eighth grade, 81.18% in the ninth grade, 83.54% in the first grade of high school and 80.11% in the second grade of high school. Mobile phones usage before bed gradually increased with grade. Students with ≥2 h smart phone usage before bed(group 2) had higher scores than those with <2 h smart phone usage before bed(group 1) in each item of ESS, except dozing during traffic jam(P<0.01). The group 2 had higher scores than group 1 in ESS and ISI scores(P<0.01).
Conclusion
Smart phone usage before bed in middle school students is very common. The risk of sleep disorders increased with the duration of smart phone usage before bed. Parental supervision should be involved in the intervention of smart phone usage before bed among middle school students.

Chinese Journal of Pediatrics 2019;57(9):669-673
Objective:
To analyze diagnosis rate of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in hospitalized pediatric patients in a single center and understand pediatricians′ awareness of CKD.
Methods:
This was a cross-sectional study. Children who were admitted to the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, Peking University First Hospital from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2017 and met the diagnostic criteria of CKD (kidney disease: improving global outcomes 2012 guideline) were recruited. A total of 4 472 cases were enrolled. Original CKD diagnosis was collected from the home page of medical records. Actual CKD diagnosis was validated and corrected by reviewing medical records and recalculating glomerular filtration rate. The diagnosis rate and influencing factors of pediatric CKD, the distribution and etiology of actual CKD were analyzed. The comparison between groups were performed with

Objectives To identify ABO blood type from a child having discrepant results in forward and reverse ABO blood grouping by serological identification and genetic testing. Methods After routine serological detection with ABO blood group, the ABO gene and ABO blood group-A subgroup genotype were tested by PCR-SSP method. Results The Serological results showed that the specimen was positive type A (anti-A:1 +w),the reverse type is O type (Ac:2 +,Bc:4 +);PCRSSP A-subtype typing showed that the genotype of the child was Ax14/O2.Conclusion Difficult blood type identification sometimes need to combine serology and molecular biology methods to confirm. In this case, the phenotype of the child was Ax,and the genotype was Ax14/O2.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2022;55(4):385-390
Subcortical U fibers, also known as arcuate fiber, are kind of short connective fibers connecting adjacent brain gyrus. They located in the outermost layer of white matter, adjacent to the cortex. With the development of imaging, more and more attention has been paid to the differential diagnosis of subcortical U fibers in different white matter lesions. In this article, subcortical U fibers are reviewed from the aspects of definition, anatomy and physiology.

Objective To study the safety of right vertical infra-axillary thoracotomy (RVIAT) in the repair of ventricular septal defect (VSD) and the optimal age for RVIAT. Methods Between June 2014 and June 2018, 441 children underwent VSD repair via RVIAT in our hospital. According to the age, they were divided into four groups: a 4 months to 1 year old group (R1 group, n=123), a 1-2 years old group (R2 group, n=106), a 2-5 years old group (R3 group, n=166), a >5 years old group (R4 group, n=46). The clinical effects of the patients were compared. Results All the operations were successfully performed and no serious complication was found in all groups. No statistical difference was observed in the operation time, blood loss during operation, thoracic drainage 24 h after operation among groups (P>0.05). The cardiopulmonary bypass time, aortic cross-blocking time and ICU stay time in the R1 and R2 groups were longer than those in the R3 and R4 groups (P<0.05). In the R1 group, the postoperative ventilating time and postoperative hospital stay time were longer, and the blood transfusion volume was more than those in the R3 and R4 groups (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications was higher in the R4 group than that in the R1 and R3 groups (P<0.05). Conclusion VSD repair via RVIAT may be more effective in children >2 years old, and 2-5 years old may be the optimal age.
