Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and prospect of innovative interactive follow-up mode for rehabilitation ofpostopera-tive breast cancer patietns in new medical environment. Methods The novel patient-centered medical care was promoted, and Pink Ribbon Clubs was established in different regions. Meanwhile, the patients’ self-support groups were formed, and a specialist for out-patients follow-up of outpatients by telephone or on the internet was arranged to provide psychological assessment, with timely and effective response. All data concerning to the follow-up were recorded and the patients were required to complete the relevant questionnaires. Results Compared with the same period in 2013,the follow-up rate was significantly increased to 80. 25%,and the patients showed higher satisfaction. The incidence of lymphedema in the patients was significantly reduced from 13% in 2013 to 7%. The quality of life was significantly improved and self-rat-ing score on depression was decreased from (51. 90 ± 8. 55) to (35. 81 ± 6. 21). Conclusion The kind of“Trinity” interactive mode is an effective follow-up mode with the clinical benefit in patients’ rehabilitation of physical and mental health, which is worthy of further applica-tion.

Objective To explore the effect of carbon nanoparticles-epirubicin suspension on proliferation and apoptosis in human breast cancer MCF-7 cells. Methods MCF-7 cells were cultured with different concentrations of CNP-EPI in vitro.CCK-8 assay was used for determinate inhibition effect of CNP-EPI on the proliferation of MCF-7 cells at different concentration and different time.According to the determination of IC90,5 μg/ml CNP-EPI was selected, and cell morphology and cell apoptosis rates were observed after 24 h.Results The inhibition effect of the CNP-EPI was stronger significantly in CNP-EPI group than in normal control group within 24 h,48 h,72 h when the concentration was from 1 μg/ml to 200 μg/ml (P<0.01).The inhibition of CNP-EPI on the proliferation of MCF-7 cells was gradually strengthened in a dose-dependent relation within the same time, and the inhibition effect is reduced in the same concentration of drugs with the time extension, but it still has a strong inhibitory effect in 72 h,and the inhibition effect of different concentration of CNP was not obvious on MCF-7 cells.Obvious changes of cell morphology were observed under inverted microscope such as:a lot of dead cells, cell adherent growth poor, cell morphology became round and karyopycnosis etc,in 5 μg/ml CNP-EPI group after 24 h.However,no obvious abnormity of cell norphology was observed in normal control group and corresponding CNP group.Late apoptosis rate was (14.57±2.41) %,the mortality rate could reach (78.63±-20.55)% in 5 μg/ml CNP-EPI group after 24 h.The mortality rate and apoptosis rate of cells was higher significantly in CNP-EPI group than in CNP group and normal control group (P<0.05).Conclusion CNP-EPI can obviously inhibit the proliferation or kill human breast cancer MCF-7cells,and the inhibition effect of CNP-EPI on proliferation of breast cancer cells might be the result of delayed releasing of EPI.

Purpose:
Effective predictors of the response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) are still insufficient. This study aimed to investigate the predictive value of serum lipid profiles for the response to NAC in breast cancer patients.
Methods:
A total of 533 breast cancer patients who had received NAC were retrospectively studied. The pretreatment of serum lipids, including total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and lipoprotein-α, and clinicopathological characteristics were collected to assess their predictive roles.
Results:
Breast cancer patients had significantly lower TC, TG, HDL-C, and LDL-C levels than normal individuals. Among these indicators, TG and LDL-C levels and HDL-C level increased and decreased significantly after NAC, respectively. In estrogen receptor (ER)-positive patients, increased LDL-C level was associated with better outcomes. Moreover, the receiver operating characteristic curve analyses suggested that TG and HDL-C levels at diagnosis can be used as predictors of the response to NAC only in the ER-positive subgroup.According to univariate analyses, patients with low TG level (< 1.155 mmol/L) or high HDL-C level (≥ 1.305 mmol/L) in the ER-positive subgroup had more favorable clinical responses than the other patients in the subgroup. Furthermore, according to multivariate analyses, a high HDL-C level (≥ 1.305 mmol/L, p = 0.007) was an independent predictor of NAC efficacy.
Conclusion
High HDL-C level (≥ 1.305 mmol/L) before NAC and increased LDL-C level after NAC were associated with the better treatment response in ER-positive breast cancer patients. These results are potentially considered beneficial in establishing treatment decisions.
