Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of surround electroacupuncture in relieving pain after operation for mixed hemorrhoids. Method Seventy-two patients with mixed hemorrhoids were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 36 cases in each group. The two groups both received the corresponding interventions once in 15 min after the operation: the treatment group received electroacupuncture treatment, and the control group was only placed in a simulated environment of electroacupuncture but without receivimg any needling treatment. The pain intensity was evaluated by using Verbal Rating Scale (VRS), Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating Scale, and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) at 11 different time points after the treatment: once every 1 h in 8 h after the treatment, once at the first defecation, once respectively 24 h and 48 h after the treatment. The data were statistically analyzed afterwards. Result At 3 h and 4 h after the treatment and at the first defecation after the treatment, the VRS scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05); respectively at 4 h, 5 h, 6 h, 7 h, and 8 h after the treatment and at the first defecation, the Wong-Baker scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05); respectively at 2 h, 3 h, 4 h, 5 h, 6 h, 7 h, and 8 h after the treatment, at the first defecation, as well as at 24 h after the treatment, the VAS scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05); it indicates that the pain intensity of the treatment group should be lower than that of the control group at the above time points, and the analgesic effect in the treatment group lasts a longer time, running a lower risk of losing effectiveness compared to the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Real-time acupuncture treatment after the operation is significantly effective in relieving pain after operation for hemorrhoids.

Objective:To investigate the variation characteristics and influencing factors of HIV/AIDS subtypes in Wuxi city of Jiangsu Province from 2014 to 2016.Methods:HIV/AIDS population in Wuxi city in 2014 was selected as the research object, and the HIV molecular epidemiology and follow-up study were carried out. Collect epidemiological information, extract DNA from blood samples, amplify pol gene fragment by nest-PCR and sequence, use ChromasPro 1.6 software and MEGA 7.0 software to construct the HIV-1 sequence database, and use FastTree2.1.10 software to construct the phylogenetic tree to confirm the subtype; in 2016, the same population was followed up, and the HIV subtype variation was analyzed, and the influencing factors of subtype variation were explored by multivariate logistic regression. Results:A total of 612 HIV/AIDS cases in 2014 and 2016 were collected. The age of the subjects was mainly 30 years old or above (85.46%, 523/612), and the proportion of people over 50 years old was higher (228/612, 37.25%). The main route of transmission was homosexuality, accounting for 49.67%. A total of 1224 samples were detected and CRF01 _ AE、CRF07_ BC、B、CRF08_ BC、CRF67_ 01B、CRF55_ 01B、CRF68_ 01B, 7 subtypes of HIV-1 and 5 unique recombinant types (URFs) was detected. CRF01_ AE and CRF07_ BC was still the main genotype in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, accounting for 66.75%. There were 29 cases (3.56%) of URFs recombinant strains. During 2014-2016, the variation rate of subtypes was 14.63%, and the most common variation was CRF01_ AE changes to CRF07_ BC(13.95%). Marital status (OR=0.363, 95% CI: 0.137-0.964) and baseline CD4 level (OR=0.414, 95% CI: 0.192-0.891) were associated with subtype variation. Conclusions:The HIV-1 subtypes of HIV/AIDS patients in Wuxi city are diverse and complex, the proportion of recombinant subtypes is rising, the URFs that are difficult to determine the genotype increase significantly, and the variation rate of HIV-1 subtypes among HIV/AIDS infected people is high. It is necessary to strengthen the monitoring of HIV-1 subtypes.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the acquaintance to orthodontics and possible factors that obstruct orthodontic treatment in middle school students in zones with different economic levels in Jiangjin, Chongqing.
METHODSThe students were randomly divided into four groups: A class from a junior high school in town (group 1), a class from a senior high school in town (group 2), a class from a junior high school in the countryside (group 3), a class from a senior high school in the countryside (group 4). The information was collected by questionnaire, and the statistical analysis of results was carried out by SPSS 17.0 software.
RESULTSSex made difference in the acquaintance to orthodontics treatment. Girls worried more about teeth extraction and pain that may occur during treatment than the boys. Students in the city had more access to related consultations compared to those in the countryside. Different economic conditions made much contribution to the proportion to go for orthodontics treatment in cities and rural areas. The evaluation from families and friends may affect patients' subjective estimation to themselves.
CONCLUSIONOrthodontists should learn more about student patiens from various aspects, and make different therapies according to their sexes, economic conditions of family, education levels, etc. Only so can orthodontists get better compliance from their patients.

Objective To propose a object detection method based on an improved YOLOv8 model to solve the problems of the inspection robot in low accuracy for recognizing pointer-type or obscured meters. Methods Firstly,a YOLOv8 model was chosen as the foundation object detection model, based on which the coordinate attention(CA)mechanism was introduced to enhance the model's understanding of the spatial structure of the input data over long distances;secondly, the original complete IoU(CIoU)loss function was replaced by an efficient IoU(EIoU)loss function to accelerate the convergence of the model's detection frame;finally, the soft non-maximum suppression(Soft-NMS)function took the place of the traditional NMS method to suppress the redundant bounding box smoothly and further improve the detection accuracy. The improved YOLOv8 model(YOLOv8nxt model)was compared with the YOLOv8n model to verify its efficacy for object detection. Results The YOLOv8nxt model with a size of 6.2 M had the position loss decreased by 1.3%,mAP_0.5∶0.95 increased by 1.7%,detection accuracy raised by 0.87%and detection time prolonged by only 0.2 ms when comparted with the YOLOv8n model. Conclusion The improved YOLOv8 model-based object detection method enhances the accuracy and speed of the inspection robot's recognition of meters during movement, and can effectively solve the problems of the inspection robot in the object detection stage.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2024,45(3):1-8]
