Objective To observe the influence of chlorderazin on the change of L-arginine transport in human erythrocytes induced by oxidized low density lipoprotein. Methods Human erythrocytes were obtained from six healthy donors. The study included three groups: Gr1 (control)? Gr2 (incubated with OX-LDL) and Gr3 (incubated with OX-LDL and chlorderazin, a PLA 2 inhibitor). The 3H-L-arginine transport was measured. Results Compared with Gr1, the Vmax for the total transport of L-arginine in erythrocytes in Gr2 decreased by 33%, and Km value increased. Compared with Gr2, the Vmax for the total transport and the transport via system y+ of L-arginine in erythrocytes in Gr3 increased by 37% and 25% respectively, and Km values decreased for both. But the change of L-arginine transport by system y+L was not statistically significant. Conclusion OX-LDL could inhibit L-arginine transport in human erythrocytes, which could be reversed by chlorderazin, a nonspecific PLA 2 inhibitor.

Objective To explore clinical profile and significance of serum golgi protein 73 (GP73) in cirrhotic patients with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection .Methods A total of 109 cirrhotic patients with HBV infection were included ,in which 60 patients were compensated cirrhosis ,and 49 patients were decompensated cirrhosis .The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis were used to evaluate the clinical significance of GP73 for diagnosing decompensated cirrhosis in cirrhotic popula-tion .Results Serum GP73 level in cirrhotic patients was correlated with alanine aminotransferase (ALT ) and HBV DNA ,but neg-atively correlated with albumin levels .Serum GP73 levels in patients with decompensated cirrhosis was (215 .9 ± 96 .56)ng/mL , which was significant higher than (113 .7 ± 68 .95)ng/mL in patients with compensated cirrhosis .The area under ROC was 0 .82 (95% CI :0 .74 ~ 0 .90 ,P< 0 .05) .The sensitivity and specificity of GP73 diagnosing decompensated cirrhosis in cirrhotic population with chronic HBV infection were 77 .55% and 75 .00% respectively ,when the cut-off was set at 140 .5 ng/mL .Conclusion Serum GP73 level is related with liver injury and HBV replication .GP73 might be an useful marker for diagnosing decompensated cirrhosis in cirrhotic population with chronic HBV infections .

Objective To determine the efficacy of vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and carbonated hydroxyapatite cement (CHC) as augmenting biomaterials in the treatment of osteoporosis vertebral compression fractures subsequent to osteoporosis. Methods 58 patients of osteoporosis with vertebral compression fractures were treated with the following methods: vertebroplasty+PMMA (11 cases, 13 vertebra), vertebroplasty+CHC (23 cases, 26 vertebrae), kyphoplasty+PMMA (8 cases, 8 vertebrae), and kyphoplasty+ CHC (16 cases, 19 vertebrae). The height loss and kyphotic angle of vertebral compression fractures were respectively measured from preoperative and postoperative lateral X-ray films, and with them the restored height ratio and kyphosis angle ratio were calculated. Both preoperation and postoperation pain scores were evaluated by Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Results No complication was found in all the patients. The restored ratio of both vertebra heights and kyphotic angles by kyphoplasty was better than that by vertebroplasty. There was no difference of filling volume in all the groups. The operation time of vertebroplasty was significantly shorter than that of kyphoplasty. There was no difference in preoperative VAS scores. The VAS scores of PMMA groups were better than that of CHC groups, but the difference was not obvious 4 weeks after operation. Conclusion Vertebral augmentation was a minimally invasive, safe and effective method for the treatment of osteoporosis vertebral compression fractures in patients with osteoporosis. The treatment modality and filling biomaterials should be selected according to the patients' condition.

SUMMARY Left ventricular noncompaction(LVNC)is a rare congenital disorder of endomyocardial morphogenesis.Since the knowledge of aetiology and pathology is accumulating, the 2006 AHA cardiomyopathy classification sorts LVNC as one of the primary genetic cardiomyopathies. The clinical features of LVNC,however,is not as clear as its aetiology. We summarized the manifestation, hemodynamics, natural course, diagnosis, therapy and prognosis of LVNC by analyzing its clinical features of 2 cases and reviewing the latest related articles.

ObjectiveTo analyze the complication and outcoming of patients with deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA) in the operation of giant intracranial artery aneurysm.MethodsThe main complications and factors related to outcoming of six patients undergoing resection of giant intracranial basilar artery aneurysm were analyzed according to cerebral oximetry (rSO2), body temperature, electrocardiogram (ECG) during operation, and complications and outcoming after operation.ResultsUnder the condition of DHCA, complications such as ventricular fibrillation could not be avoided. Although circulatory arrest caused degrade of rSO_2, holo-brain oxygen deficiency caused by circulation arrest after operation was not happened in all six patients. Three patients were died after resection, and local brain injury occurred ins all six patients.ConclusionDHCA can induce multitude complication in the resection of giant intracranial artery aneurysm, local brain injury is the main factor of influencing the outcoming of patients and early rehabilitation is important to patients.

Purpose:The image information and technique of positron emitter nuclei generated by high energy X-ray photonuclear reactions with body tissues from MM50 is studied. It is explored to verify for dose delivery and location monitoring in tumor target after high energy photon radiation therapy with the image information.Materials and Methods:The technique is based on the photonuclear reactio-as in body tissues elemental composition ~(12)C,~(16)O and ~(14)N with high energy X-Ray,energies well above 20 MeV,resulting primarily in ~(11)C and ~(15)O but also ~(13)N.The induced positron activity distributions were scanned off-line in a PET/CT after irradiation. The activity distributions and position may be used to verify for dose delivery and location in tumor target. These radiations are similar to RT in three fields with some different dose delivery from TPS.The phantom began to be scanned off-line in a PET/CT a couple of minutes after irradiation. The scanning time is respectively 20 minutes and(2~5)mniutes for ~(12)C and ~(16)O.The levels of the beam energy are 10MV,25MV,50 MV.The extent of dose is 1.0 Gy~10.0 Gy.Since measured PET images change with time post irradiation,as a result of the different decay tim-es of the radionuclides, the signals from activated ~(12)C,~(16)O within the irradiated volume could be separated from each other. Most informationis obrained from the carbon and oxygen radionuclide's which the most abundant elements are in soft tissue.A brain phantom Rlade oneself was irradiated with high energy X-ray beams from IBA MM50.The 3D radiation treatment planning system,Nucletron-TPP 3.2,was used to calculate the delivered dose distributions. The phantom was directly simulated in the Nucletron-TPP after CT scan.PET/CT is fro-m GE Discovery LS Ⅱ.Resuits:It was confirmed that no activity was detected at 10 Mv X-ray energy, which was far below the energy threshold for photonuclear reactions.Totally 25 MV X-ray beams can produce photonuclear reactions and get to activity distributions images in PET/CT.It need to greater dose in order to good images information. For 50 MV X-ray beams,2 Gy-3 Gy dose,a normal RT dose, can get to activity distributions images. Conclusions:It was concluded that the PET-CT image acquired from the activity of the ~(15)O and ~(11)C positron emitter nuclei might provide the area and dose distribution information of 50 MV X-ray irradiation in a phantom. It can verify the in vivo dose delivery and location in tumor target after high energy X-ray RT.
