BACKGROUND:Previously deep burn wound or skin defects are generaly repaired with skin grafting or flap of skin grafting. Obvious scar hyperplasia usualy appears after operation, which requires multiple surgeries. Meanwhile, patients have to suffer from great pain and bear high cost. OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical effects on deep wounds by continuous traction of self-designed skin-stretching device (patent No. ZL 2012 2 0022443.7). METHODS: Thirty patients with deep burn wound, skin defect or funicular scar were enroled, including 22 males and 8 females, aged 18-49 years, and randomly divided into two groups. Skin-stretching device was adopted for skin traction treatment. Twenty cases underwent skin traction from 1 kg puling force to 5 kg, with an increase of 1 kg per 2 days, 6 hours a day for 10 days. Blood flow at the beginning, 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60 minutes of the skin traction, and the changes of wound edge skin as wel as histological changes of the skin were observed. Of the remaining 10 cases, 2, 6, and 2 cases underwent skin traction of 2, 4, 7 kg, respectively. Blood flow and skin changes were also observed to find out the most suitable and safe force. RESULTS AND CONLUSION:Al the 30 cases achieved primary healing without necrosis of skin, infection or peripheral circulatory disorders, and the appearance and function recovered wel. The healing time was 8-24 days. The skin-stretching device was most safe under 4 kg puling force, by which, there was neither blood circulation obstacle nor tear of skin. After traction, the skin blood flow and the number of cels increased, especialy the epithelial basal cels. The colagen fibers became thicker and denser, and the elastic fibers regenerated significantly; the fibroblasts and capillary density increased. It has been proved that we can better close the wound and reduce scar formation effectively with the self-designed skin-stretching device for skin traction.

OBJECTIVE To provide evidence to establish properly protocol for medical cosmetic institutions.METHODS Through investigation to analyze the current situation and problems of disinfection and isolation in the medical cosmetic institutions.RESULTS There were 86.7% medical cosmetic institutions located in commercial buildings. And there were 33.3% institutions with improper layout of therapeutic room, sterilizing room and dressing room resulting from insufficient space or less rooms. The illumination intensity of the ultraviolet lamp and the disinfection effect of air were not coincident with standards.CONCLUSIONS There are many problems of disinfection and isolation in the medical cosmetic institutions, the disinfection is insufficient, the ultraviolet light is in wild-using,people only focus on using, but ignore irradiation dose and distance. It is very important for strictly observing Hospital Infection Management Methods,Disinfection Technology Standards and Disinfection Management Methods, and strengthening the management of disinfection and isolation in the medical cosmetic institutions.

Objective To detect the antibodies of streptococcal C5a peptidase from group B streptococcus(SCPB)in neonates, demonstrate the existence of SCPB antibody in pregnant women after natural group B streptococcus(GBS)infection, and provide clinical evidence for prevention of GBS infection. Methods Sera were collected from 107 neonates(80 term infants and 27 premature infant)between February 2007 and December 2007. The antibodies of SCPB were detected using ELISA method, and cultures of GBS were done simultaneously. Results 21(19.6%)newborns were found to be SCPB antibody positive(including 20 term infants and 1 premature infant),the difference of positive ratio between term and premature infant was significant(25% and 3.7%,respectively). Conclusions This study indicated that pregnant women could produce SCPB antibody by immune response, and transmitted it to the infants through the placenta. Further study is needed to clarify the effect of SCPB antibody in expectant mother and newborn with GBS infection.

Nano magnetic microspheres prepared by chitosan and poly acylic acid were applied to purifying superoxide dismutase from blood erythrocyte. Chitosan-polyacyilc acid graft copolymer was synthesized by free radical graft copolymerization with potassium persulfate as inititator. To prepare Fe3O4 magnetic fluids with chemical coprecipitation, chitosan-polyacylic nano magnetic microspheres were prepared with glutaraldehyde as crosslinking agent. Structure of nano magnetic microspheres was detected by FT-IR spectrometer. Particle size and morphology were characterized by JEM-4000EX technology. Chitosan-polyacylic nanometer microspheres have good paticle cize distribution, magnetic responsiveness and protein adsoption. Activity, product yield and activity recovery of SOD after purification reached 6 727 U/mg, 21.1%, and 85.7% respectively. Purification of blood superoxide dismutase by chistosan-polyacylic acid microspheres has its renewable and feasible nature.

This study is to investigate the effect of the effective components group of Xiaoshuantongluo (XECG) on neuronal injury induced by oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) in primary cortical cultures isolated from SD rat cortex at day 3 and the possible mechanism. Cells were divided into control group, OGD model group and XECG group (1, 3 and 10 mg x L(-1)). The cell viability was assessed with MTT assay and the LDH release rate was measured by enzyme label kit. The cell apoptosis was analyzed using Hoechst staining. RT-PCR was applied to detect the mRNA levels of JAK2 and STAT3. Western blotting was used to detect the expressions of Bcl-2, Bax, p-JAK2 and p-STAT3 proteins. Results showed that XECG resulted in an obvious resistance to oxygen-glucose deprivation-induced cell apoptosis and decrement of cell viability, decrease the cell LDH release rate. XECG could adjust the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax proteins and increase Bcl-2/Bax ratio, up-regulate the expression of p-JAK2 and p-STAT3. In conclusion, XECG could protect against the neuronal injury cells exposed to OGD, which may be relevant to the promotion of JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway, and impact the expression of Bax and Bcl-2.
