Objective To study the mRNA expression of myelin basic protein (MBP) and myelin oligodendregha glyeoprotein (MOG) in hippocampus of rats following global brain ischemia.Method The four- vessel occlusion animal model in the Sprague-Dawley rats was used in this study.The mRNA expression levels of MBP and MOG in the hippocampus of rats were analyzed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT- PCR) at day 2,4,7,14 and 28 days after global brain ischemia.There were eight rats at each time-point and sham operated group.Results The mRNA expression of both MBP and MOG in hippocampus of rats decreased at 2 days after global brain ischemia.The gene expression of myelin gene decreased significantly at 7 days and it reached to the lowest level at 28 days.Compared with sham operated group,the gene expression of MBP and MOG in hippocampus of rats decreased significantly at 7,14 and 28 days after global brain ischemia (P

By analyzing the epidemiological and clinical features of adenovirus in children with acute respiratory tract infection (ARTI), we provide a theoretical basis for early clinical diagnosis and treatment. Nasopharyngeal secretions were collected from 3480 children with ARTI, who were hospitalized at the No. 2 Hospital of Changzhou from January 2011 to December 2012. Adenovirus were detected using direct immunofluorescence assays. A total of 80 samples were positive for adenovirus (2.30%). The rate of adenovirus infection during 2011 was significantly higher than that in 2012, and the infection rate was higher in summer and autumn than in winter and spring. The infection rate was 1.14% among children aged < 1-year-old and the rates were higher among children in other age ranges. Adenovirus was found to be an important ARTI pathogen in children in Changzhou, mainly affecting children older than 1 year. ADV infections have various clinical presentations, but affected children tend to be severely ill with poor outcomes.

Background Metadherin is a newly discovered oncogene.It is highly expressed in some solid tumors and plays a significant role in invasion and metastasis of neoplasm as an important biological marker of aggressive cancers.However,there is little data available for the relationship between metadherin expression and clinicopathologic features of retinoblastoma(RB).Objective This study was to investigate the expression of the metadherin in RB cell lines and specimens as well as its clinical significance.Methods The expression of metadherin mRNA in different metastatic potential of RB cell lines(Y79,WERI-RB1 and SO-RB50)was detected by real-time PCR,and the protein expression of metadherin (MDTH)in paraffin-embedded RB tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry.The relevance of metadherin expression to clinical histopathological features was statistically analyzed.Results The relative expression value of metadherin mRNA was 6.11±0.17,6.21±0.21 and 3.97±0.17 in Y79,SORB50,WERI-RB1,respectively,with a significant difference among the three types of cell lines(F =142.643,P＜0.05).The relative expression value of metadherin mRNA was significantly higher in Y79 or SO-RB50 than that in W ERI-RB1 (P=0.000).The expression of MTDH protein mostly located in the cellular membrane and cytoplasm.Among the 54 RB sections,35 (64.81％)showed a high intensity in expression of metadherin protein.The total score of metadherin protein expression was higher in the E stage of RB than that of D stage(P=0.035),in the patients with high-risk factor than those without high-risk factor(P=0.002)and the cases with optic nerve invasion compared to non-invasion (P＝0.017).However,no significant differences were found in the expression of metadherin protein between different ages (P =0.579),different genders (P =0.513),bilateral eyes (P =0.305),different disease courses (P=0.860),various types of differentiation (P =0.537),different degree of the ehoroid invasion (P =0.238),and with or without invasion of the anterior ocular segment (P =0.579).Conclusions Metadherin appears to be highly expressed in RB cells.The activation of the MTDH gene is associated with invasion and metastasis of RB.These results imply that the dynamic change of metadherin expression probably is a prognostic indicator of RB.

Objective To observe changes of luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and testosterone (T) in umbilical vein blood between male and female neonates, and assess the effect of serum LH, FSH and T on fetal growth.Methods Umbilical vein blood was obtained from 130 neonates (64 females and 66 males) in the second hospital of changshu city. Objective: To learn the characteristics of adolescent pregnancy in Wenzhou from 2015 to 2019, so as to provide basis for protecting adolescent physical and mental health. Methods: Data of demographic characteristics, pregnancy and delivery outcomes of the women aged under 19 years ( adolescent pregnant ) and 20 to 34 years ( right-age pregnant ) who delivered in Wenzhou from 2015 to 2019 were collected from Wenzhou Maternal and Child Health Information Management System. The incidence of pregnancy complication, comorbidity and adverse delivery outcomes of adolescent pregnant women was compared with that of right-age pregnant women. Results: Among 536 753 parturients reported in Wenzhou from 2015 to 2019, there were 22 419 ( 4.18% ) of adolescent pregnancy and 430 163 ( 80.14% ) of right-age pregnancy. The average age of adolescent pregnant women was (18.11±0.82) years ( range, 10-19 years ). The majority of adolescent pregnant women were migrant population (19 437 cases, 86.70%), had an education level of junior high school and below ( 18 594 cases, 82.94% ), and had no occupation (19 192 cases, 85.61%). The incidence rates of anemia, gestational diabetes, postpartum hemorrhage, perineal laceration and premature delivery in adolescent pregnant women increased from 2015 to 2019 ( all P<0.05 ). The incidence rates of gestational diabetes, anemia, gestational hypertension, placental abruption, postpartum hemorrhage, perineal laceration, premature delivery, low birth weight, fetal death and stillbirth were 1.65%, 11.76%, 0.19%, 0.26%, 3.19%, 24.52%, 6.03%, 5.53%, 0.50% and 0.04% in adolescent pregnant women, which were significant different from 5.49%, 8.94%, 0.13%, 0.01%, 0.17%, 23.46%, 4.66%, 3.08%, 0.26% and 0.01% in the right-age pregnant women, respectively ( all P<0.05 ). Conclusions The adolescent pregnant population in Wenzhou are mainly migrant population with lower education level and no occupation. The incidence rates of pregnancy complication, comorbidity and adverse birth outcomes in adolescent pregnant population are higher than those in right-age pregnant population, and are increasing year by year.

Objective　To investigate the clinical significan ce of pelvic lymphadenectomy in advanced ovarian carcinoma. Methods　A total of 86 cases of advanced ovarian cancer with surgical treatment were assigned to 3 groups according to the size of residual focus and the performanc e of pelvic lymphadenectomy. Group A consisted of 42 cases with pelvic lymphaden ectomy and the diameter of residual focus smaller than 2 cm; Group B, 26 cases, underwent pelvic lymphadenectomy but with the residual focus larger than 2 cm; Group C con sisted of 18 cases without pelvic lymphadenectomy and the diameter of residual f ocus larger than 2 cm. All patients received CAP chemotherapy for 6 to 8 course of treatment and were in similar clinical stages and pathological grading. Results　The 5 year survival rate was 30.1% (13/42) in Group A, and 11.5% (3/26) in Group B with significant difference (P<0.05). Group C's 5 year survival rate was 11.1%(2/18). No significant difference was found betwee n Group B and C. Conclusion　Application of pelvic lymphadenecto my on those with residual focus less than 2 cm can apparently improve the patien ts' survival rate. But when the diameter of the focus is larger than 2 cm, pelvi c lymphadenectomy is not necessary.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect and mechanism of Salvia Injection (SI) in treating primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS) in children.

METHODSForty-four PNS children were randomly divided into conventional steroid treated group (20 cases) and conventional plus SI intervention treated group (24 cases), the levels of serum endothelin (ET), soluable interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) were observed.

RESULTSBefore treatment, plasma ET and sIL-2R in PNS children were higher than those in healthy children significantly (P < 0.01). After treatment, the ET and sIL-2R levels were all obviously improved in both treated groups (P < 0.05) and the improvement in the conventional plus SI intervention treated group was more obvious, the difference between the two treated groups after treatment was significant (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONConventional treatment supplemented with SI could more effectively improve the levels of plasma ET and SIL-2R in treating PNS children, and hence alleviate the damage of renal tissue.
