Objective To explore the clinical effect and lung CT change of long-term used of low-dose roxithromycin in treatment for bronchial expansion patients in stable phase. Methods 94 cases collected in the Department of Respiration, The Second Hospital Affiliated to Suzhou University from February 2011 to December 2012 were diagnosed as bronchiectasis, 34 cases in control group were given oral treatment for ambroxol 30 mg, three times one day, 60 cases in treatment group were added roxithromycin 75 mg on basis of control group, two times one day. Patients in two groups were both treated for 6 months. The therapeutic effect and the score of life quality and dyspnea scores in two groups were observed, and the changes of CT data were compared before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the life quality score and dyspnea score of two groups were all improved, but the treatment group was signiifcantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). The effective rate in treatment group was 86.67%, which was signiifcantly higher than 70.59%in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, chest CT imaging score of patients in treatment group were improved, signiifcantly better than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Long-term low dose administration of roxithromycin can control and stable bronchiectasis symptoms, and improve signs and symptoms .

To develop an ophthalmic preparation of Shedan, an in situ forming gel was prepared with the formulation containing 18% of poloxamer 407 and 5% of poloxamer 188 by response surface designs plus central composite designs. The rheology results showed that LVE range gamma should limited within 0.5%, Shedan high-frequency region, and the thixotropy recovery time is less than 5 seconds. The phase transition temperature was 33.25 °C according to curve of storage modulus and loss modulus determined by temperature scanning. Surface tension and osmometer of it determined by surface tension meter and dew point osmometer were 36.43 mN · m(-1), and 320.6 mOsm · kg(-1), respectively. Fluorescein sodium was selected as the marker to monitor the corneal residence time, and the results showed that Shedan gel could prolong drug residence for 180 min. In line with zero-order kinetics, releases of muscone and salvianolic acid B in vitro depends on gels erosion. The results of rabbit ocular irritation experiments suggested that Shedan in situ forming gel was biocompatible and nonirritant. In conclusion, a novel Shedan in situ forming gel was developed and characterized for potential drug treatment of retinal vein occlusion.

OBJECTIVETo explore correlation between lung and large intestine and the two meridians under pathological condition in the view of meridian theory.
METHODSNinety-six cases of bronchial asthma were applied palpation at the running course of 12 regular meridians under the elbow and knees and back-shu points. And abnormal reactions were recorded, the affected meridians and back-shu points were discovered.
RESULTSThe abnormal reactions most frequently appeared on the Lung Meridian, followed by the Large Intestine Meridian, the Spleen Meridian, the Liver Meridian, the Stomach Meridian and the Triple Energizer Meridian. And the unusual reaction of the back-shu points most frequently appeared on Feishu (BL 13), and Dachangshu (BL 25) and Pishu (BL 21) followed as the next two.
CONCLUSIONThe existence of correlation between the Lung Meridian and the Large Intestine Meridians under pathological condition can be proved through meridian and acupoint palpation on bronchial asthma patients.

ObjectiveTo explore the attentional biases in male alcohol dependent (AD) patients and the correlations between the attentional bias and alcohol-related factors.MethodsA total of 30 recently detoxified male individuals with alcoholism were compared with 37 healthy controls ( HC ) on the Chinese Emotional Stroop Task using negative, neutral, and alcohol-related words.ResultsThe comparison between AD group( ( 1382.13 ±323.38) ms,( 1365.76 ±313.03)ms,( 1433.20 ±342.23) ms,respectively) and HC group( (797.27 ±216.97)ms,( 794.11 ± 209.41 ) ms,(799.40 ± 215.82 ) ms respectively) on the reaction time of neutral, negative and alcohol-related words were significant ( t =8.822,P < 0.001 ; t =8.922,P < 0.001 ; t =9.234,P < 0.001 ).The error number of of the neutral and negative- related words of the patients ( ( 3.70 ± 2.56) time,( 4.23 ± 2.53 ) time)was worse than that of HC group( ( 2.11 ± 1.87 ) time,( 1.92 ± 1.82 ) time) ( t =2.939,P =0.005 ; t =4.355,P <0.01 ).Error number of the alcohol- related words between two groups were not significant; Its alcohol-related words attentional bias negative correlation to the age of initial alcohol use(P< 0.05 ),and positive correlation to continue drinking and score of self-rating depression scale (P<0.05).Age of addiction and the score of self-rating anxiety scale enter the regression equation of alcohol-related words.ConclusionThese results demonstrate that alcoholics have attentional bias in alcohol-related words and reward-related brain regions may be associated with craving among male patients with attentional bias.

Objective To review the surgical methods and mid-term results of mitral valve repair in pediatric patients with moderate to severe mitral regurgitation (MR).Methods 132 children with moderate to severe MR,aged (18.9 ± 7.2)months,weighted(11.3 ±4.8) kg.The etiology for mitral regurgitation is congenital heart disease in 126 cases, infective endocarditis in 5 cases and Marfan syndrome in 1 case.Mitral valvuloplasty(MVP) was performed with cardiopulmonary bypass under moderate systemic hypothermia. The methods of MVP included annuloplasty, annuloplasty ring, cleft closure, reconstruction of posterior leaflet. The coucomitant cardiac anomalies were treated at the same time. The results of repair were evaluated by saline injection test and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) during operation. Results Intra-operative TEE results: 131 cases had none to mild MR,and only one case had moderate MR.The patient underwent second repair immediately, subsequent TEE was mild.Mean cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) time was (80.0 ± 31.1) minutes.Mean aortic clump time was (48.0 ± 17.9) minutes. The in-hospital mortality was 2.3% (3 cases died). One died of heart failure on postoperative day 7,the other died of low cardiac output syndrome resulting on postoperative day 2.Another one was large ventricular septal defect(VSD) with pulmonary hypertension (PH),died of pulmonary infection.Mean postoperative ventilation time was (34.4 ± 31.9) hours, and mean postoperative inhosptial time was (9.0 ± 5.4) days. The average follow-up period was (40.5 ± 8.3) months (2 to 74 months).122 cases were fully followed up.Echocardiography showed that moderate MR was in 7 patients, and 3 patients had severe MR.4 patients underwent re-do mitral valve repair or mitral valve replacement. There was no late death. The overall survival rate at 5 years was 97.7% and the overall freedom from reoperation at 5 years was 92.0%.Conclusion Pediatric patients with moderate to severe MR need early surgical treatment, the early and mid-term results were satisfactory.Individualized treatment protocol based on specific pathology was the keypoint of surgical therapy.
