Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of intradermal needle therapy for urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery. Methods: A total of 100 patients with urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery were randomized into a control group and an observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with basic nursing only, and the observation group was treated with additional intradermal needle therapy. Both groups were treated for 2 courses of treatment. The main symptom scores and residual urine volume of the two groups were observed before and after treatment, and the inpatient time, catheter indwelling time and the clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 96.0% in the observation group and 88.0% in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the main symptom scores and residual urine volume in both groups decreased significantly (all P<0.05), and the scores and residual urine volume in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P<0.05). The inpatient time and catheter indwelling time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (both P<0.05). Conclusion: Intradermal needle therapy has an obvious effect in improving symptoms of urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery, and the effect is significantly more persistent than that of simple basic nursing.

4.Characteristics of plasma glucose and insulin secretion after a glucose load and prediction of islet beta cell function in obese children

Objective To investigate the characteristics of plasma glucose, insulin secretion and changes of insulin resistance (IR) after a glucose load in obese children, and to predict islet β-cell function. Methods A total of 635 obese children were classified into normal glucose tolerance (NGT) group (n=483), impaired glucose regulation (IGR) group (n=112) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) group (n=40) based on their glucose levels. Subjects were also divided into G1 group (23 kg/m2≤BMI<30 kg/m2, n=393) and G2 group (BMI≥30 kg/m2, n=242) based on their different BMI levels. Level of fast plasma glucose (FPG, 0.5 h-PG, 1 h-PG, 2 h-PG and 3 h-PG) and insulin (FINS, 0.5 h-INS, 1 h-INS, 2 h-INS and 3 h-INS) were measured 0 h, 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h and 3 h after a glucose load. Insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), whole body insulin sensitivity index (WBISI), function of pancreatic beta-cell (HOMA-β), first-phase insulin secretion index (ΔI30/ΔG30) and area under curve of insulin (AUCI) were calculated and compared between groups. Results The value of insulin at each time point was significantly higher in IGR group than that of NGT group. The values of insulin at 0.5 h, 1 h, and 2 h were significantly lower in DM group than those of IGR group, respectively (all P<0.05). Compared with NGT group, AUCI, HOMA-IR and HOMA-β increased, but WBISI and ΔI30/ΔG30 decreased in IGR group (all P<0.05). HOMA-IR increased but WBISI, HOMA-βandΔI30/ΔG30 decreased in DM group (all P<0.05). Compared with IGR group, AUCI, HOMA-βandΔI30/ΔG30 decreased in DM group (all P<0.05). Values of FINS, AUCI, HOMA-IR, 2h-PG and HOMA-βwere significantly higher in G2 group than those of G1 group, but WBISI decreased (all P<0.05). There were no significant differences in FPG and ΔI30/ΔG30 between these two groups. Conclusion From NGT, IGR to DM, the peak of insulin secretion is postponed, insulin resistance is getting heavier and the compensation of insulin secretion after a glucose load is increased first and then decreased.
5.Risk factors of chronic disease for high-risk population and its application in community

The individual intervention control of risk factors in high-risk population is one of key preventive measures of chronic disease.A total of 312 volunteers consulted physicians in one selected community.And 23 high-risk individuals of chronic disease were screened.The physicians customized the limit or requirement of diet,activity,tobacco and alcohol for each individual and made interventions of life behaviors according to the plans.The results showed that physical state of 20 (87%) of them converted from high-risk to health after interventions.Therefore customized control plan of individual risk factors is an effective control method of chronic disease.
6.A simple and effective anti-backflow positioning evaluation device for orotracheal intubation in rats

Objective To improve the orotracheal intubation verifying technique and reduce the complication of backflow in rat experiment.Methods A new position evaluation of anti-backflow device was designed and made of safety IV catheter and closed IV catheter system.60 adult male Sprague Dawley rats 216±20 g were randomly assigned to two groups: group A (n=40) for verifying placement, group B (n=20) for anti-backflow test.Group A was further divided into group A1 using self-designed positioning device, group A2 using aerosol, group A3 taking cotton fiber for positioning judgment.The group B was divided into two subgroups, B1 and B2, counting escaped bubbles as a means of positioning observation, the difference is that group B1 using frustum of a cone shape anti-backflow device, while the group B2 using common airway tube.Routine endotracheal intubation was performed to observe and record the time of positioning, the location of exhalation phase, and the length of inspiratory phase countercurrent water column.The group A1 further performed tracheotomy under direct vision clearly to confirm the anatomic positioning status.Results During the exhalation cycle,three or more bubbles were observed to escape continuously, indicating that the intubation tube was properly placed and open in the airway.Positioning time: It took 1.75±1.02 respiratory cycles in group A1,3.30±0.95 respiratory cycles in group A2 and 4.10±0.99 respiratory cycles in group A3 to complete the assessment the positioning status.There was no statistically significant difference between groups A2 and A3 (P> 0.05).The time needed for group A1 was significantly shorter than that of groups A2 and A3 (P < 0.01).The longest countercurrent water column length in group B1 was 3.23±0.53 cm, and 8.48±1.01 cm in the group B2.Conclusions The new designed anti-backflow positioning evaluation device is a simple and convenient appliance to evaluate the location of orotracheal intubation in rat experiment.It can effectively improve the positioning efficiency and has practical application value.
7.Isolation and Characterization of Atrazine-degrading Strains and Biotreatment Experiment of Industrial Wastewater

By using enrichment culture in liquid minimal medium or direct culture on minimal medium plates, thirteen bacterial strains (AD27-AD39) capable of utilizing atrazine as a sole nitrogen source for growth were isolated from a mixture of industrial wastewater and sludge from an atrazine manufacturing plant. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing, eleven strains were identified as Arthrobacter spp. and two strans were identified as Pseudomonas spp.. We further studied in detail the composition of atrazine-degrading genes and degradation characteristics of Arthrobacter sp. AD30 and Pseudomonas sp. AD39 that have high degradative activity. From PCR assays, it was indicated that both AD30 and AD39 strains contained atrazine-degrading genes trzN and atzBC and was capable of degrading toxic atrazine to nontoxic cyanuric acid. The biodegradation experiments showed that the percentage of atrazine removal were 92.5%,were 92.5%, 97.9% and 99.6% respectively after AD30, AD39 or the mixture of the two strains were inocu- lated and incubated at 30?C for 48 hours in minimal media containing 200 mg/L atrazine, indicating that atrazine degradation by the mixed bacteria was more effective than the single strain. In addition, after industrial wastewater containing 176 mg/L atrazine was inoculated with the mixed bacteria and incubated at 30?C with shaking for 72 hours atrazine were removed by 99.1%, implicating that the mixed bacteria are good candidate for biotreatment of atrazine-containing industrial wastewater.

9.Chili arsenic contamination in southwest China and its influencing factors

Objective To determine the distribution and influencing factors(dehydration method, storage time and chili varieties) of arsenic contents in chilies from southwest China, and the relationship between arsenic content and selenium content in chilies. Methods There were 272 dried chili samples, 76 groups of fresh chili samples and its corresponding soil samples, which were collected from the markets and peasant households in 76 counties of 9 regions in southwest China, and 36 dried chilies from other regions in China and abroad as a comparison. Their dehydration methods and storage time were investigated. The chilies were classified by Bailey Criteria. Arsenic content and selenium content in chilies were determined with hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry. Arsenic content in soils were determined with water bath hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrum. Results Their ranges of arsenic content in dried chili and fresh chili were 0.2 - 16 637.3,0.2 - 295.8 μg/kg, respectively. The median of arsenic content in the dried chili was 106.9 μg/kg while it was 0.2 μg/kg (dry weight) in the fresh chili. The chilies median arsenic of different drying methods and storage time, in order were: the furnace-dried stored for more 1 than year( 197.3 μg/kg), the sun-dried stored for more than 1 year (130.7 μg/kg), the furnace-dried stored for less than 1 year(94.1 μg/kg), the sun-dried stored for less than 1 year (55.5 μg/kg). The arsenic content of different kinds of solar-dried chilies and roast chilies were different. In solar-dried chilies, the median of arsenic contents from a order of high to low sequences were cluster chili (101.5 μg/kg), cherry chili (95.6 μg/kg), corn chili (86.8 μg/kg), and long chili (47. 1 μg/kg); in roast chilies, the median of arsenic contents from a order of high to low sequences were cherry chili(275.5 μg/kg), cluster chili (173.0 μg/kg), corn chili( 164.3 μg/kg), and long chili( 136.8 μg/kg). The medians of chilies from other regions of China and Turkey were higher than that of southwest China, their median were 125.8,112.3 μg/kg, respectively;the medians of chilies from America, France, and other countries were lower than that of southwest China, their median were 29.4,54.1,85.3 μg/kg, respectively. There was no significant correlation between fresh chilies and its corresponding soil arsenic(r = 0.010, P > 0.05). There was a significant positive correlation between the amount of arsenic and selenium in chilies(r = 0.616, P < 0.05). Conclusions The arsenic of dried chilies from southwest China was higher than that of fresh chilies. The arsenic of chili was different with different dehydration methods and storage time. There was a significant positive correlation between the amount of arsenic and selenium in chilies.
10.Clinical observation on effect of tiaozhi jiangtang tablet on patients with diabetes of blood stasis syndrome: a report of 30 cases.

OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical efficacy of Tiaozhi Jiangtang Tablet (TZJT) on patients suffering from diabetes mellitus with blood stasis syndrome.
METHODSSixty patients were randomly assigned into 2 groups, the TZJT group (n = 30) treated with TZJT tablet and asprin, the control group (n = 30) treated with asprin alone.
RESULTSThe improvement of symptoms was more significant in the TZJT group than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Levels of serum endothelin (ET), nitric oxide (NO) content and blood viscosity were decreased in both groups after treatment, and the effect of TZJT plus asprin was superior to that of asprin alone.
CONCLUSIONTZJT combined with asprin is effective in improving the serum content of ET and NO and reducing blood viscosity.
