Three osmotolerant yeasts were isolated from three batches of "swollen can" soy sauce produced by a Guangdong condiment plant. These strains grew faster in the media containing 50%～60% glucose or 15% NaCl than in common yeast media. The three yeasts were identified as Pichia etchellsii by using morphological characteristics, physiological and biochemical tests.

Background As a newly developed refractive surgery,femtosecond laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) receives more and more attention.Changes in ocular stray light after femtosecond LASIK is an important problem that impacts visual quality.Some relevant research has been performed before,but the outcomes are conflicting.Objective This primary study was to investigate the change of stray light values before and after femtosecond LASIK and analyze the relevant factors underlying the change.Methods Clinical data from 109 eyes of 55 myopic patients who underwent femtosecond LASIK in Tianjin Eye Hospital from December,2010 through February,2011 were included in this study.Stray light values were measured and recorded by C-Quant stray light meter preoperatively,and 1 day,1 week,1 month and 6 months postoperatively.The stray light data were compared by repeated measures ANOVA,and the correlations among the stray light values with preoperative factors,such as age,equivalent sphere,pupil diameter and central corneal thickness(CCT),as well as with postoperative factors,such as residual bed thickness(RBT),RBT/CCT,ablation depth,ablation ratio,flap thickness,flap diameter flap base width and exiting energy,were analyzed statistically.Written informed consent was obtained from each individual at initial of this study.Results The stray light values were 0.90±0.19,1.10±0.19,1.02±0.18,0.96±0.16 and 0.94±0.15 pre-operation,and 1 day,1 week,1 month and 6 months after femtosecond LASIK.The stray light values increased significantly 1 day,1 week,and 1 month after surgery,showing significant differences among the various time points (F=17.699,P=0.000).The mean stray light value was higher in 1 week than that in 6 months after operation (t=2.412,P=0.017).No significant differences were found in the stray light values between 6 months and 1 month or pre-operation (t =0.779,P =0.437 ; t =-1.877,P =0.062).No significant correlations were seen between preoperative and postoperative stray light values with age,preoperative refractive diopter,pupil diameter or CCT (P＞0.05).The changes in stray light values 1 week,1 month and 6 months after surgery were negatively correlated with ablation depth(r=-0.226,-0.228,-0.241 ;P＜0.05) and ablation ratio(r =-0.149,-0.219,-0.255 ;P＜0.05).Conclusions Stray light values increase within 1 month and return to normal 6 months after femtosecond LASIK.Stray light values may be related to multiple setting laser parameters and factors during femtosecond LASIK.

Genuine medicinal materials with special characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is recognized as high quality medicine. Both ancient records and modern research considered that the origin is an important reason for the formation of genuine medicinal materials. However, blindly transplanting of genuine medicinal materials has led to the quality decline and counterfeit medicines appeared in production or sale progress, which may increase the risk of accidents in TCM. Frequent accidents emerged in Chinese herbal affects its export. What's more, it is a great threat to the medication safety in TCM clinical. There is an urgent need to implement traceability systems of TCM, which could provide convenient information record and traceability of TCM circulation. This paper reviews a variety of technical methods for genuine medicinal materials traceability, and proposed the establishment of genuine medicinal materials traceability system based on two-dimensional code and network database.

Objective To study the incidence of osteopenia in patients with initial systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). Investigate the levels of the vitamin D (VitD) endocrine system in peripheral blood of SLE patients and its relation to bone mineral density (BMD). Analyse the relationship between the estrogen receptor (ER) and BMD and evaluate the role of ER in the pathogenesis osteopenia. Methods Serum levels of 25-OH VitD_3 and 1,25-(OH)_2 VitD_3 were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. The gene expression levels of VitD receptor (VDR) and ER were determined by real-time PCR. BMD measurements in the lumbar spine (L1-L4) and left proximal femur (femoral neck) were performed using dual X-ray absorptiometry before treatment. Results The initial SLE patients had significantly lower BMD values, and higher frequency of bone loss at both sites of measurement compared with normal controls (P < 0. 05). The levels of 25-OH VitD_3 and 1,25-(OH)_2 VitD3 were lower in the initial SLE patients than normal controls(P<0.01 both). There is no difference in the levels of 25-OH VitD_3 and 1,25-(OH)_2 VitD_3 between the osteopenia SLE group and the normal BMD SLE group (P > 0. 05, P > 0. 05). There are no correlations between the Vitd and BMD in initial SLE patients (P>0.05 both). The expressions of VDR gene were significantly increased in the initial SLE patients compared with the normal controls(P<0.01). There was no difference in VDR gene expression between osteopenia SLE group and normal BMD SLE group (P>0.05). The VDR gene expression does not correlate with the bone mass (P>0.05). The levels of ER-β gene expression are higher in the initial SLE group than the normal controls (P<0.01).Conclusions The incipient SLE patients may have lower BMD than expected. SLE patients present abnormal VitD endocrine system and higher ER-β mRNA expression than those in normal controls, but these weren't concerned with osteopenia.

Vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene expression was determinied by real-time PCR in peripheral blood. BMD measurements in the lumbar spine (L1-4) and left proximal femur (femoral neck) were performed using dual X-ray absorptiometry before treatment. The relationship between the vitamin D endocrine system and the bone mass were studied. We also discussed the relationship between the vitamin D endocrine system and the disease activity. Results The levels of 25OHD3 and 1,25 (OH)2D3 were lower in the initial SLE patients than normal controls (P<0.01, P<0.01). The expressions of VDR gene were significantly increased in initial SLE compared with normal controls (P<0.01). The initial SLE patients had significantly lower BMD values, and higher frequency of osteopenia (35%) at both sites of measurement compared with matched healthy controls (P<0.01). The initial SLE patients were divided into two groups by BMD, abnormal group and normal group. There were no differences in 25OHD3, 1,25 (OH)D3 and VDR gene expression (P0.05). There was no correlation between the vitamin D endocrine system and BMD in initial SLE patients. There was no correlation between the vitamin D endocrine system and the disease activity either. Conclusion Vitamin D endocrine system may play an important role in SLE, but the level of VDR gene is not correlated with BMD and disease activity.

A system analysis about the microbial flora of normal and abnormal soybean sauce liquor from the high-salt-level watery state fermentation was made and the dominant bacteria and yeasts were identified.On the other hand,a discussion of effect of temperature on microbial flora was made.The results indicated that there were no obvious differences about the count of aerobe,spore-producing bacteria,enterobacteriaceae,lactic acid bacteria and anaerobe between the normal and abnormal soybean sauce liquor and there were marked differences about the count of yeasts and salt-tolerant bacteria.The predominant yeasts in normal soybean sauce were Torulopsis and Saccharomyces,accounting for 55.9% and 35.3% of the total yeasts separately,and in abnormal soybean sauce were Pichia,candida and Saccharomyces,accounting for 62.8%,17.9% and 9.0% respectively.

These years with industrial antiseptics and disinfectants widely used, especially unscientifically used, the resistance of microorganisms is more and more serious, which brought much more difficulties to industrial producing. The developments on the resistance of microorganisms to industrial antiseptics and disinfectants, their resistant mechanisms and the control strategies are reviewed, which aids us to reasonably use industrial organic antiseptics and disinfectants in existence and provides academic and scientific basis.
