Aim To investigate endoplasmic reticulum stress ( ERS)-mediated high-fat diet and palmitic acid-induced insulin resistance ( IR) in skeletal muscle and interventional effects of fenofibrate both in vivo and in vitro tests. Methods Female SD rats were randomly subjected to a standard control diet ( SCD) or high-fat diet ( HFD) for 20 weeks, then the HFD group was di-vided into high-fat-diet group and high-fat-diet group treated with fenofibrate ( HFD +FF, 30 mg · kg-1 · d-1 ) for another 8 weeks. The changes of IR and ex-pression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α( PPARα) , glucose regulated protein 78 ( GRP78 ) and transcription factors GADD153 ( CHOP ) were as-sessed respectively. C2C12 myotubes were divided into normal control group ( NC ) , model group ( palmitic acid, PA) , postive control drug group ( tunicamycin, TM) and treatment group ( fenofibric acid, FA+PA) , the expressions of GRP78 and CHOP were assessed re-spectively. Insulin-stimulated phosphorylation of Akt was also analyzed to detect changes of insulin sensitivi-ty in C2 C12 . Results The high-fat diet induced obvi-ous IR and upregulated ERS markers GRP78 and CHOP in skeletal muscle of rats, and these responses were attenuated by treatment with fenofibrate. Incuba-tion of myotubes with palmitic acid or tunicamycin sig-nificantly increased expression of ERS markers GRP78 and CHOP. Meanwhile, insulin-stimulated phosphoryl-ation of Akt was inhibited obviously. Pre-incubation with FA markedly inverted PA-induced ERS and insu-lin-stimulated phosphorylation of Akt. Conclusion Fenofibrate ( fenofibric acid) has obvious effects of IR on skeletal muscle tissues and cells, which may be re-lated with reduced expression of GRP78 and CHOP in ERS.

Objective To investigate any effects of rubbing acupoints on the right leg on activation and deactivation responses in the human cerebellum. Methods Ten male, healthy, right-handed subjects were examined using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) while their Zusanli (ST36) , Yanglingquan (GB34),Fenglong (ST40) and Sanyinjiao (SP6) acupoints on the right lower extremity were stimulated. A block-designed method was applied. A piece of sponge was used to rub all the above-mentioned acupoints for stimulation. The mean values of the activation and deactivation signals in different cerebellar zones induced by stimulating each acupoint were calculated. Results Each acupoint could modulate cerebellum function in its specific way, but all acupoints induced the largest mean values in the Vermis Crus I area. The largest deactivation effects for all acupoints except Sanyinjiao were located in the Vermis VI area. For each acupoint, left and right side activation effects of the 20 zones of the cerebellum were basically consistent, though the mean values of most zones were higher on the right side. Conclusions The four acupoints studied not only shared common modulating effects, but also showed point-specific influence on cerebellum function. The effects exerted by each acupoint on the Vermis were greater than that on the cerebellar hemispheres. The phenomena observed in this study could contribute to acupoint selection during rehabilitation.

To investigate the relationship between serum glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody (GAD-Ab)titer and the first-phase insulin release (1PH)in newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients. 1053 newly-diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients were divided into 3 groups, including 71 individuals with GAD-Ab≥1 U/ml (positive group), 171 individuals with GAD-Ab ranging from 0 to 1 U/ml (negative-1 group), and 811 individuals with GAD-Ab=0 (negative-2 group). IPH was evaluated by arginine stimulation test. In the patients of negative-2, negative-1, and positive groups, the respective values of 1 PH were subsequently decreased significantly (P< 0. 01) , and the detection rates of the decreased insulin secretion were 74. 85%, 87. 13%, and 100%, respectively. Stepwise regression analysis indicated that disease duration, GAD-Ab titer, HbA_1C, and body mass index were the major independent contributing factors. The titer of GAD-Ab has an important impact on 1PH defect in type 2 diabetic patient. Detection of GAD-Ab not only provides an evidence for clinical type, but would also be helpful in determining the islet β-cell function.

Aim To study whether the mechanisms in-volved in resveratrol′s protective effects on vascular en-dothelial injury induced by high-calorie and high-chol-estrol diet are concerned with ERS and the change of eNOS expression. Methods Twenty-four male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into standard control diet (SCD),high-calorie and high-cholestrol diet(HCD)and HCD group treated with resveratrol (HCD +RES,400 mg·kg -1 ·d -1 ,1 2 weeks). Then the thoracic aorta was separated, embedded and sliced to analyze the pathological changes by HE and resor-cinol staining. The protein distribution of eNOS was measured with immunohistochemical analysis. The up-stream and downstream genes of ERS in thoracic aorta were detected by RT-PCR.After the pretreatment with different concentrations of resveratrol, the mouse aortic endothelial cells (MAECs)were treated with palmitic acid, then the changes of cell proliferation in each group were compared.Western blot,immunofluores-cence and immunohistochemistry were used to deter-mine the protein expressions of GRP78,CHOP and eNOS respectively. Results Mice fed with HCD showed thickening of thoracic aortic wall and disorgan-ized elastic fibers as compared with those in SCD group. The mRNA levels of ERS related genes were all increased obviously (P <0.05),while the protein expression of eNOS was decreased.Compared with HCDgroup, the thickened wall and the disorganized elasticfibers were improved significantly, the mRNA levels ofERS related genes were all decreased obviously (P <0.05)and the expression of eNOS protein was increased in HCD +RES group.Compared with NCgroup, the cell proliferation was significantly decreased, meanwhile GRP78 and CHOP was significantly increased (P <0.05)and the protein expression ofeNOS was decreased in PA group. The cell proliferation was increased significantly (P <0.05),the mRNA and protein expression of GRP78 and CHOP wasobviously decreased (P <0.05),meanwhile the protein expression of eNOS was increased in the mediumand large dose of RES pretreatment groups. Conclusion Resveratrol has obvious effects of improving endothelial damages induced by HCD and decreasing cellproliferateion of MAECs induced by PA, and themechanisms are possibly related with decreased ERSand increased level of eNOS protein.

Methods:
Data of notifiable infectious diseases reported in Zhejiang Province in 2020 were extracted from China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention. The incidence and death of notifiable infectious diseases were analyzed and compared with the averages from 2015 to 2019; then the characteristics of some key diseases such as coronavirus disease 2019 ( COVID-19 ), influenza and other infectious diarrhea were summarized.
Results:
Totally 487 271 cases of 30 kinds of infectious diseases were reported. The incidence and mortality rate was 832.94/100 000 and 0.615 4/100 000, which were 7.05% and 14.60% lower than the average value of 2015-2019.The weekly morbidity of Class A and Class B infectious diseases fluctuated between 1.24/100 000 and 3.68/100 000, and hit the bottom in the sixth to eighth week. The morbidity of Class C infectious diseases was 154.19/100 000 in the first week, then dropped to 4.83/100 000 in the second to sixth week and maintained at a low level. High morbidity of infectious diseases were reported in Hangzhou ( 1 412.62/100 000 ), Jinhua ( 960.35/100 000 ) and Ningbo ( 921.25/100 000 ). The morbidity of class C infectious diseases in Hangzhou was 1 248.80/100 000, which was far higher than that of other ten prefecture-level cities. The diseases with high reported morbidity were influenza (438.45/100 000), other infectious diarrhea (140.29/100 000 ), hand-foot-and-mouth disease ( 99.64/100 000 ), pulmonary tuberculosis ( 41.92/100 000 ), syphilis (41.37/100 000) and viral hepatitis ( 30.48/100 000 ). More deaths were reported in AIDS and pulmonary tuberculosis, and the mortality were 0.482 1/100 000 and 0.116 2/100 000. A total of 1 306 confirmed cases, 302 asymptomatic infections and 1 death of COVID-19 were reported.
Conclusion
In 2020, the incidence rate of notifiable infectious diseases in Zhejiang decreased compared with the average value of 2015-2019. Pulmonary tuberculosis, syphilis and hepatitis B still have high morbidity, and the COVID-19 epidemic spread widely. The morbidity of some respiratory infectious diseases and imported infectious diseases have dropped significantly compared with previous years.
