Objective To explore the feasibility and reference value of allogeneic lung transplantation and postoperative monitoring in miniature pigs for lung transplantation research. Methods Two miniature pigs (R1 and R2) underwent left lung allogeneic transplantation. Complement-dependent cytotoxicity tests and blood cross-matching were performed before surgery. The main operative times and partial pressure of arterial oxygen (PaO₂) after opening the pulmonary artery were recorded during surgery. Postoperatively, routine blood tests, biochemical blood indicators and inflammatory factors were detected, and pathological examinations of multiple organs were conducted. Results The complement-dependent cytotoxicity test showed that the survival rate of lymphocytes between donors and recipients was 42.5%-47.3%, and no agglutination reaction occurred in the cross-matching. The first warm ischemia times of D1 and D2 were 17 min and 10 min, respectively, and the cold ischemia times were 246 min and 216 min, respectively. Ultimately, R1 and R2 survived for 1.5 h and 104 h, respectively. Postoperatively, in R1, albumin (ALB) and globulin (GLB) decreased, and alanine aminotransferase increased; in R2, ALB, GLB and aspartate aminotransferase all increased. Urea nitrogen and serum creatinine increased in both recipients. Pathological results showed that in R1, the transplanted lung had partial consolidation with inflammatory cell infiltration, and multiple organs were congested and damaged. In R2, the transplanted lung had severe necrosis with fibrosis, and multiple organs had mild to moderate damage. The expression levels of interleukin-1β and interleukin-6 increased in the transplanted lungs. Conclusions The allogeneic lung transplantation model in miniature pigs may systematically evaluate immunological compatibility, intraoperative function and postoperative organ damage. The data obtained may provide technical references for subsequent lung transplantation research.

Functional dyspepsia(FD)is a common functional gastrointestinal disease in clinical practice,which has the characteristics of high incidence,difficult to cure,and recurrence.FD belongs to the categories of"ruffian"and"stomach pain"in TCM,and the disease is located in the stomach,which is closely related to the liver and spleen,and the syndrome of liver depression and spleen deficiency is the most common.This article summarized the literature related to the TCM treatment for FD with liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome,and concluded the clinical application,efficacy characteristics and mechanism,so as to provide reference for clinical treatment and basic research.The analysis found that the clinical efficacy of TCM in the treatment of FD is significant,which can not only improve the digestive symptoms of patients,but also improve their anxiety and depression state and daily life quality,and has the characteristics of overall regulation,syndrome differentiation and treatment,and improvement of physical fitness.Its mechanism may involve multiple pathways and levels such as abnormal gastric motility,abnormal brain-intestinal interaction and immune inflammatory response.

Objective:To analyze the trend of infertility disease burden from 1990 to 2019 and predict the age-standardized prevalence rate (ASPR) and age-standardized disability-adjusted life-year (DALY) rate of male and female infertility for 2020—2029, providing a certain reference for the prevention and treatment of infertility diseases.Methods:Based on the Global Burden of Disease 2019, prevalence, ASPR, DALY rate, and age-standardized DALY rate were used to evaluate the global burden of infertility comprehensively. The estimated annual percentage change was used to describe trends in the disease burden of infertility in 21 regions worldwide. The Bayesian age period cohort model was used to predict the ASPR and age-standardized DALY rate for male and female infertility in 204 countries and regions from 2020 to 2029. Sensitivity analysis was performed using the autoregressive integrated moving average model.Results:The prevalence, DALY rate, ASPR and age-standardized DALY rate of global male infertility increased from 319.52 per 100 000,1.82 per 100 000, 2 856.53 per 100 000, and 16.19 per 100 000 in 1990 to 565.30 per 100 000, 3.22 per 100 000, 3 398.53 per 100 000, and 19.36 per 100 000 in 2019, respectively. The prevalence, DALY rate, ASPR, and age-standardized DALY rate of global female infertility increased from 656.67 per 100 000, 3.53 per 100 000, 6 036.36 per 100 000, and 32.27 per 100 000 in 1990 to 1 223.78 per 100 000, 6.59 per 10 000, 7 483.12 per 100 000, and 40.33 per 100 000 in 2019, respectively. The burden of infertility disease was the highest in men and women aged 30-34 years, and the ASPR and age-standardized DALY rates were 4 407.47 per 100 000, 25.08 per 100 000, 10 270.55 per 100 000 and 55.65 per 100 000, respectively. Only in 45-49 years of age, the prevalence of infertility (11.31 per 100 000) and DALY rate (0.06 per 100 000) in women were lower than those in men (15.68 per 100 000 and 0.08 per 100 000). In addition, the burden of infertility was the lowest in high socio-demographic index regions. Cameroon had the highest ASPR (7 652.40 per 100 000) and age-standardized DALY rate (43.94 per 100 000) for male infertility. Chinese women had the highest ASPR (20 402.30 per 100 000) and age-standardized DALY rate (106.16 per 100 000) of infertility. The forecast results show that the burden of male and female infertility diseases will increase in 204 countries and regions from 2020 to 2029.Conclusion:The burden of infertility diseases in men and women increased in 204 countries and regions from 1990 to 2019, and it is predicted that the global burden of infertility diseases will continue to rise in 2020—2029. Preliminary screening of infertility should be carried out as soon as possible, health education should be strengthened and effective prevention and treatment strategies should be formulated.

Objective:To investigate effect of comprehensive management intervention based on WeChat multimedia classroom on cardiac function and prognosis in elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods:Clinical data of 118 elderly patients diagnosed with AMI in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chinese PLA Air Force Military Medical University between August 2021 and December 2022 were retrospectively collected.According to nursing way after operation,they were divided into control group(n=60,comprehensive management interven-tion)and intervention group(n=58,comprehensive management intervention based on WeChat multimedia class-room),both groups were intervened for 5 months.Cardiac function,exercise tolerance,compliance to rehabilita-tion management,self-efficacy and healthy behavior were compared between two groups.Kaplan-Meier survival curve was employed to compare incidence of adverse cardiovascular events during follow-up between two groups.Results:After 5-month intervention,compared with patients in control group,those in intervention group had sig-nificant higher left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)[(58.14±1.88)％vs.(54.48±1.34)％],6min walking distance(6MWD)[(490.41±59.59)m vs.(394.97±28.20)m],scores of compliance to rehabilitation manage-ment[(6.97±2.03)points vs.(5.03±1.40)points],General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)[(30.34±4.67)points vs.(23.55±4.86)points]and Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile-Ⅱ[(137.62±30.17)points vs.(115.95±22.66)points],and significant lower left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV)[(117.90±4.22)ml vs.(131.28±3.61)ml],left ventriadar end-systolic volume(LVESV)[(54.46±2.10)ml vs.(63.15±2.06)ml],serum brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)[(362.32±25.36)pg/ml vs.(567.58±21.90)pg/ml]and incidence of ad-verse cardiovascular events(6.90％vs.21.67％)(P＜0.05 or＜0.01).Conclusion:Comprehensive management intervention based on the WeChat multimedia classroom could significantly improve cardiac function,exercise toler-ance,compliance to rehabilitation,self-efficacy and healthy behavior,and reduce incidence of adverse cardiovas-cular events after operation in elderly AMI patients.

With the advancement of the "New Medical Science" reform, the "Medicine+X" model has emerged as a key direction for the future development of medical education. Multidisciplinary integration places higher demands on both educators and students. Emerging technologies, such as intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, intelligent campus management systems, and ChatGPT, have made personalized learning possible. Such approaches offer notable advantages, including improving learning efficiency, enhancing motivation, eliminating the spatiotemporal constraints of clinical education, and alleviating teachers′ workloads. Nevertheless, the application of artificial intelligence in personalized medical education still faces multiple challenges, such as issues of data quality and reliability, the need for faculty development, shifts in educational paradigms, and ethical considerations. This study explored the current status of artificial intelligence in personalized medical education and offered recommendations to promote its development, including strengthening the integration of technology and education, enhancing the digital literacy of educators, establishing ethical guidelines, and fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Virtual standardized patients offer a potential solution to this limitation. This article analyzes the advantages of virtual standardized patients and their application in clinical teaching.

Medical students often struggle to understand and master the relevant knowledge and skills in teaching, especially in surgical teaching. Emerging 3D printing technology can help students to understand and master surgical techniques. The problem-based learning (PBL) teaching method helps students to develop their independent thinking and teamwork skills. The combination of these methods has already achieved significant success. Therefore, this article discusses the application and combining 3D printing technology with the PBL teaching method in medical teaching, particularly in urological surgery education, and provides new ideas and references for future, more diverse, and high-tech medical education.

It encompasses chamber engineering and environmental control, digital platform and cybersecurity architecture, metabolic measurement and multimodal data acquisition, as well as quantitative system performance and data quality indicators with verifiable acceptance tests. By standardizing architecture, interfaces, and quality control, the specification enables multicenter data interoperability and harmonized quality management, providing high-quality, verifiable, and traceable infrastructure to support precision metabolism research and clinical translation in China.

Icaritin(ICT)is an 8-isopentenylflavonoid,which is the main effective component of the tra-ditional Chinese medicine Epimedium.Previously,we found that Icaritin inhibits the growth of glioblasto-ma(GBM)cells.Herein we aim to study the in vivo anti-GBM effectiveness of Icaritin and explore its mechanism.The results of MTT assay,flow cytometry,comet assay and cellular immunofluorescence as-say in vitro showed that ICT inhibited the proliferation of four kinds of GBM cells,U87,U251,U118 and A172,induced early apoptosis(P＜0.001)and late apoptosis(P＜0.05)in U87 cells,induced DNA damage in U87 cells,and blocked the growth of U87 cells at the G0/G1 phase(P＜0.0001)in a concen-tration-time-dependent manner.In vivo subcutaneous tumor transplantation tumor experiments showed that feeding 200 mg/kg(P＜0.01)and 400 mg/kg(P＜0.001)ICT had a significant inhibitory effect on the growth of GBM subcutaneous tumors,and had no significant toxic effects on heart,liver,spleen,lung and kidney tissues.The results of network pharmacological analysis,molecular docking and cellular thermodynamic experiments showed that there were 26 possible target proteins between ICT and GBM,a-mong which the expression of p53 in GBM tissues was significantly(P＜0.001)higher than in normal tis-sues,and the binding energy of ICT and p53 was lower;cellular thermodynamic experiments verified that ICT significantly enriched the level of p53 in the living cells of GBM,which indicated that ICT could tar-get p53.The expression of key proteins in the DNA damage repair and apoptosis-associated FOXO signa-ling pathway was detected by ICT.The results showed that the expression of ATR(P＜0.01),P53(P＜0.001),P21(P＜0.05)and γ-H2AX(P＜0.05)was up-regulated,whereas the expression of Cyc-lin E1(P＜0.01),E2F1(P＜0.05),CDK2(P＜0.01),Rb(P＜0.001),p-Rb(P＜0.0001)and WRN(P＜0.0001)expression were down-regulated.There was no significant change in the expres-sion of FOXO 1 in the FOXO pathway or a significant down-regulation of its phosphorylation level.This study demonstrated that ICT could effectively inhibit the growth of GBM cells in vivo.It targets p53 to regulate the DNA damage repair pathway and FOXO signaling pathway to induce GBM cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.
