Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(21):-
Objective To explore the clinical significance of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis(HSPN).At the same time compare the association between serum and urine MCP-1,to investigate the impact of the both on them in children with HSPN.Methods Serum and urine MCP-1 were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay in 50 children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP)(25 cases of them patients with renal injures),and 25 healthy children, the changes of serum and urine MCP-1 were compared;at the same time serum urea nitrogen, creatinine, urinary albumin, urine N-acetyl-D-glucosaminidase(NAG),urine ?2-MG,24 hours urinary levels of protein were investigated in children with HSPN by analyzing the correlation between these indicators and serum and urine MCP-1;urine MCP-1 in HSPN group were measured in recovery period, and were compared with urine MCP-1 in HSP group and HSPN group in acute period. Results 1.The expressions of urine MCP-1 was significantly higher in HSPN group than those in HSP group and healthy controls(P0.05).2.Urine MCP-1 levels were associated with proteinuria in children with HSPN,but serum MCP-1 levels had nothing to do with HSPN.3.There was a close correlation between urine MCP-1 expression and urinary albumin, urine NAG,urine ?2-MG and 24 hours urinary levels of protein, but the expression of urine MCP-1 levels were not correlated with the serum urea nitrogen and creatinine.4.There was statistical significance in urine MCP-1 in acute and recovery periods with HSPN group(P

Objective To explore the diagnosis evaluation of 64-slice spiral CT angiography(CTA) in cerebral vascular disease. Methods 64-slice spiral CT angiography of 48 patients with suspected clinically cerebral vascular diseases were analyzed retrospectively. The source images were got by TOSHIBA Aquilion VCT Scanner, and all axial images were transferred to an external workstation. The reconstructed images were processed into volume rendering(VR),multiplanner reconstruction(MPR) and maximum intensity projection(MIP),the values were valuably compared with the results of surgery or DSA.Results 30 cases were aneurysms,4 cases were AVM,8 cases were cerebral artery stenosis or occlusion,6 cases were normal. Conclusion The 64-slice spiral CTA is a valuable diagnostic method for various cerebral vascular diseases.

ObjectiveTo probe into the clinical efficiency of reconstruction to person who had composite tissue defect of the floor of mouth and the lower part of face with the free forearm flap and free iliac bone in the same term.MethodsBefore the surgery, the surgeon should carefully evaluate the scope and shape of defects in 11 cases who had the composite tissue defects of the floor of mouth and the lower part of face, to design the individual forearm flap, so that it matches with the defect region. During surgery, the first resumption of defects using titanium plates forming the basic shape of mandible and the occlusal relationship, then used to re-sawing to take modeling of the iliac bone, transplanted free iliac bone and fixed after the inside of the titanium plate, thereby restoring the continuity of mandible missing.ResultsFree forearm flap and free iliac bone all survived in 11 cases, the success rate of 100%. The patients were followed up for 6 to 12 months, although the shape of restoration areas were different levels of fat, but eating, swallowing and other oral function had been well improved, 7/11 could enter normal diet, 4/11 to enter liquid diet, At the same time, the patients in social activities can communicate in a language daily, sensory function of skin flap and facial appearance has been satisfactory recovery.ConclusionConformal free forearm flap and free iliac bone is an ideal way to reconstruct the composite tissue defects of the floor of mouth and the lower part of face in the same period, not only safe, practical prognostic effect, and also can significantly improve the patients quality of life, which is worthy of reference and use.

?-lactamase inhibitor research is popular for its potential on ?-lactam antibiotics resistant strain.A ?-lactamase binding peptide SIPIS04-01 was obtained by the yeast two-hybid system. In vitro assay showed that it can inhibit the ?-lactamase activity. In order to improve the expression level of the recombinant peptide,a two-copy expression plasmid pYG563 was constructed by random orientation tandem repeat method after codon modification, the two-copy plasmid was successfully expressed and the product was increased by 48.4% than that of one-copy plasmid.Purified peptide showed inhibitory activity against TEM-1 ?-lactamase in vitro and the inhhibitory constant Ki was measured.

Objective To analyze the clinical data of patients with post-hepatectomy haemorrhage (PHH) and to discuss the treatment strategies.Method The clinicopathologic data of patients with PHH between 2005-2014 in the HPB Surgery Ward I,Peking University Cancer Hospital, were studied retrospectively. Results In the study period of 10 years,25 of 1 548 patients who underwent hepatectomy suffered from PHH,and 76% (19/25) of these patients had underlying liver diseases. The common surgical operations followed by PHH were right hemihepatectomy (11/25),and segment Ⅶ/Ⅷ resection (8/25).The median time for PHH to be diagnosed was 27 h,and the median time from diagnosis of postoperative bleeding to reoperation or intervention was 3.5 h.Using the classification of PHH by the International Study Group of Liver Surgery (ISGLS),there were 1 patient in grade A,16 patients in grade B,and 8 patients in grade C.The perioperative mortality of PHH was 8% (2/25).The most common bleeding site was from the hepatic artery. Conclusions PHH is a serious complication after liver resection, with low occurrence but high mortality. Most patients with PHH can be managed by conservative treatment.Emergency reoperation is required when instability in vital signs appears.Careful evaluation before operation, strict hemostasis during operation, and close monitoring after operation can effectively reduce the incidence and mortality of PHH.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the correlation between ABO blood type gene and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children.
METHODSABO blood types were determined using glass sheet method in 96 children with ADHD and their parents. O gene was identified using polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism in patients with A or B blood type. Haplotype-based haplotype relative risk (HHRR), transmission-disequilibrium test (TDT) and Chi-square test were used to examine the association between ABO gene and ADHD.
RESULTSTDT results showed significant differences in the allele of ABO between the 96 children with ADHD and within-family controls (chi2=6.017, df=2, P< 0.05). Chi-square test results showed differences in the allele of A and B (chi2=3.289, df=1, P=0.07) as well as O and B (chi2=3.629, df=1, P=0.057 ) between ADHD children and within-family controls. The frequencies of O and A genes were higher than that of B gene in ADHD children.
CONCLUSIONSThere was correlation between ABO blood type gene and ADHD in children. The risk of ADHD is increased in the presence of alleles O and A, but the risk is reduced in the presence of allele B.

AIMStudies on synthesis and antibacterial activity of new heterocycles.
METHODSThe cyclocondensation of [(3-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl] thio acetic acid with various aroyl hydrazines in the presence of POCl3 and xylene gave the corresponding titled compounds, and the in vitro antibacterial activity was primarily evaluated by the method of cupplate diffusion solution.
RESULTSSixteen novel titled compounds were synthesized, their structures were confirmed by IR, 1HNMR, MS and elemental analysis. Biological screening results demonstrated that most of the compounds prepared displayed potential antibacterial activity.
CONCLUSIONOxadiazoles incorporting pyridyl oxadiazole ring may be usefully antibacterial candidate drugs.
