1.Development of Circulation System for Disinfection of Sickbeds
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(01):-
Objective To receive disinfection messages of sickbeds from nurse workstations and to reduce the periods of the request transfer. Methods The system transferred the request for replacing bed between wards and disinfection units by UDP messages, and informed the staff by active speaker and LCD screen. Results The time of replacing beds decreased significantly,so the wards were very satisfied with the disinfection units. Conclusion The system can reduce the time of replacing beds obviously and make the requests for replacing beds satisfied.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2001;20(2):111-112
Objective To investigate the relationship of proximal femur geometry and hip fracture in elderly women. Methods We compared proximal femur measurements made from the uninvolved hip of 48 plane anteroposterior pelvis radiographs of elderly women without fracture to those of the contralateral hip in a group of 43 cases with hip fracture. Measurements of Singh index, head diameter(HD), neck diameter(ND), femoral neck length(NL), neck shaft angle(NSA) and cortical thinckness of proximal femur were analyzed. Results The cortical thickness of proximal femur in hip fracture and without hip fracture groups was (10.9±3.1) mm and (13.2±2.9) mm, and the Singh index below Ⅲ° was 86.05% and 66.67%, respectively. No difference in HD,ND,NL and NSA could be demonstrated. Conclusions Singh index and cortical thickness of proximal femur may be used to predict the occurrence of the hip fracture in elderly women.

Objective To evaluate popliteal artery local technique in superficial femoral artery antegrade subintimal recanalization. Methods From January 2009 to Dec 2011,550 limbs in 476 TASC (Trans-Atlantic Inter-Society Consensus) Ⅱ C/D cases underwent endo-therapy at our department. The success rate、operation time、symptom progress and follow up were analyzed retrospectively. Results In the 550 limbs,62 limbs received popliteal artery local technique directly. There was 9 technical failures.Procedures succeeded in 53 limbs(85.5% ).The average operation time was (69 ±24) min,(1.8 ±0.6) stents were used and the main covered length was ( 33 ± 6) cm.Symptoms of 46 limbs was improved and unchanged in 6,amputation needed to be done in one limb. One year follow up accomplished for 39 limb. The 6 and 12 months patence rate was 87.1% and 69.2%.For 488 limbs using traditional approach 378 achieved anti-grade recanalization, the average operation time was ( 89 ± 30) min, average (2.1 ± 0.6) stents were used and the main covered length is (31 ± 13) cm.Symptom in 300 limbs improved. The half and one year patence rate in 292 limbs was 92.1% and 61.0%.Conclusions The popliteal artery local technique is as effective as with traditional approach and is time saving.

By using ~3H—TdR incorporation and CTLL—2 cell line,we observed effects of RU486,anantagonist of type Ⅱ glucocorticoid receptor,on dexamethasone inhibition of lymphocyte prolifer-ation and interleukin—2(IL—2)production in rat spleen. It was shown that RU486 obviouslyantagonized the inhibitory actions of dexamethasone on lymphocyte proliferation and IL—2 pro-duction.By means of dot hybridization and Northern blot analysis, effects of dexamethasone andRU486 on IL—2 gene expression were investigated in lymphocytes of rat spleen. The datademonstrated that dexamethasone markedly decreased IL—2 mRNA production,RU486 alonedidn't affect IL-2 mRNA levels, but obviously reversed dexamethasone-mediated downregala-tion of IL—2 mRNA production in ConA—activated lymphocytes. These results suggest thatthe above effects of dexamethasone may be mediated by glucocorticoid receptor in lymphocytesof rat spleen.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(05):-
Objective To explore the effect of the ?-blocker —metoprolol on the treatment of vasovagal syncope(VVS) in children. Methods Twenty-nine children with unexplained syncope and positive responses to head-up tilt test(HUT) were included in the study.Sixteen of them took metoprolol(treatment group) and 13 of them took vitamin B or oryzanol (control group) at least 2 weeks and HUT were repeated and syncope episodes were observed. Results In treatment group,9 of 16 patients had no syncope episode while 5 of 16 patients had fewer syncope episodes,1 case had more syncope episodes, and 1 case remained the same.HUT were repeated and 6 of 9 cases had negative outcome. In control group,1 of 13 patients had no syncope episode while 5 of 13 patients had fewer syncope episode,3 cases had more syncope episodes and 4 cases remained the same.HUT were repeated and 3 of 7 cases had ne-(gative) outcome. Conclusion These results indicate that adminstering metoprolol orally may be effective for VVS in children.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(7):583-585
Adaptive behavior is attracting more and more attention and have become necessary basis of diagnosis and intervention of mental retardation. The definition of adaptive behavior have not unified yet, AAMR(2002) suggests that adaptive behavior is the skill of concept, society and use, the constraint of adaptive behavior will influence individual's daily life, and then life adaption. Approachs of mental retardation assessment include interviews, behavioral observations, functional assessment, quality of life assessment and sociometric techniques. No matter which approach is used in assessment, the goal is to improve lives of individuals with mental retardation, the limits of each approach should be considered, and, the assessment of individuals with mental retardation must contain all aspects.
