22 patients with cancer (cervical cancer: 4, renal cancer: 6, esophageal cancer: 5, toungue cancer: 4 and throat cancer: 3) treated by the brachy therapy. The results have shown that good out come (73%), medium outcome (14%) and poor outcome (13%).There was no complications of both radiation or technique. The brachytherapy AGAT-VU1 had some advantages including the short duration of treatment course, automatics, control by program, saty, relibility.

3.Closed head injury at general hospital of Da Nang.
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;267(12):28-34
Among 1,030 head traumatic cases, moderate injury with GCS range 9-12 occupies 17.66%. Severe injury: 16.6%. Among 100 surgical interventions: *Extradural hematomas: 10%. *Subdural hematomas and cerebral consfusion: 46%. *Post-operative mortality: 32%. *Total mortality rate among servere head injuries: 42.69%. Head injuries due to scooters accidents have increased enormously in the recent years: *150 cases per year 1975-1978. *350 cases per year 1990-1992. *1000 cases per year 1995-1996. Degree of head trauma becomes more severe and the most frequent lesions are brain confusions, oxonal lesions and subdural hematomas. The diagnosis is based on careful clinical assessment, carotid angiogram and exploratory (skull burr hole) trephineation. In order to improve the mortality and morbidity (16%) the authors emphasize on: *Role of helmet use. *Strengthenng traffic regulations. *Good team of anesthetisis and resuscitators. *The need for medical equipment: scanners, respirators.

6.Study on equipments in centres for preventive medicine in some provinces and cities
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2005;15(2):32-35
A cross sectional study on real situation of professional equipments was carried out on 11 centers for preventive medicine in some provinces and cities during 2003-2004 periods. The result showed that: the equipment at provincial level was poor in kind, deficient in quantity, backward in quality and rate of amortization of these equipment was high. Part of the professional and auxiliary equipments were bought newly but it wasn’t enough to meet now working demand

7.Microorganic laboratory testing service at provincial centres of preventive medicine
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2005;15(4):5-10
The survey covered 11 cities/provinces with 179 servey copies distributed to staffs involved in microbiological testing during 2003-2004. Results showed that tested microbiological samples of water and food were 790±817 and 699± 552 (x±SD)/year, respectively, with 4-5 testing indicators applying for MPN7-9 tubes. The number of samples for testing microorganism in the environment was still limited. In five years of 2000-2004, epidemics occurred in some provinces like typhoid, cholera and dengue fever. Those were tested for causes making up 88% and the rate of success was high. Some causes for epidemics (typhoid, cholera, dengue fever and pacillary dysentery) can be identified at provincial centres of preventive health.

8.Chemical components of essential oil extracted from leaves of Pittosporum floribundum Wight & Arn. family Pittosporaceae gathered in Dien Chau, Nghe An province
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;348(4):5-7
The leaf oil of Pittosporum floribudum Weight & Am. collected from Nghe An province, in October 2004 was isolated by steam distillation to give oil yield 0.15% and analyzed by Capillary GC and GC/MS. Thirty five components have been identified accounting more than 98% of the oil. The major constituents of this oil appeared to be a pinene (42.97%) and limonene (40.46%). Predominant minor compounds included p-pinene (5.17%) undecane (3.96%) and p-myrcene (2.45%)

9.The easily volatile components from zhizome of Curcuma zedoria Rosc. cultivated in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces
Pharmaceutical Journal 2004;34(11):9-11
The study on chemical components of volatile oil of Nga Truat root collected in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces found that in the mobile fluid of yellowish volatile oil of Nga Truat with special are matic of curcuma an essential productivity of 0,22% of fresh root was identified. In volatile oil samples, rich content of epicurzerenon, germacrone was determined. The other components of lower contents are betapinen 1,8- cineole, caphor, isoborneol, beta- elemene, zingiberen, benzofuran -6- ethyxyl 4,5,6,7- tetrahydro-3,6- dimethyl -5-isopropyl, T- muurolol. Monoterpen content in volatile oils is lower considerably than the content of sesquiterpen and oxygene containing conrespondents substances. There compounds give special aromatic smell of the oils

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2007;17(6):36-42
Background: Previously, most studies evaluating nutritional status in Vietnam are based on the weight, height indexes or body mass index (BMI). Recently, Ha Huy Tue and his colleagues conducted a study to evaluate body composition in adults in both rural and urban\r\n', u'Objectives: To evaluate nutritional status and body composition and analyze the roleof BMI and percentage body fat (% BF) in determining the status of overweight and obesity\r\n', u'Subjects and method: A cross \u2013sectional study was carried out in 2.671 pupils (male/female: 50.6%/49.4%) aged 11-14 years old of 6 secondary schools in Hanam province Binh Luc district. BMI and %BF are the two indicators used for analyzing. \r\n', u'Results: The prevalence of subjects with BMI\ufffd?5th percentile was less than 1% for both males and females. Mean %BF ranged from 17.4-18.3% and from 13.9-20.2% for males and females, respectively. One unit of BMI corresponds to a large range of %BF. %BF has a goof sensitivity to detect high body fat in males; %BF can be a indicator to identify early overweight and obesity in pupils.\r\n', u'Conclusion: Proportion of overweight and obesity in 11-14 year-old schoolchildren of Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province is low. Therefore, obesity is not significant issue for the public health in the local. % BF can be used for the prevention of overweight, obesity in the community, especially the schoolchildren.\r\n', u'\r\n', u'\r\n', u'
