1.Monitoring of sterilization quality of pulsating vacuum sterilizer in our hospital
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2004;0(07):-
Objective To find out sterilization quality of pulsating vacuum sterilizer for better sterilization effect. Methods The sterilization quality was monitored by physical, chemical and biological methods. Results 4,576 subjects were involved in the test.Such data were obtained as the qualification rate for temperature, the one by chemical indicator card, the one by B-D test and the one by biological indicator, which were 99.6%,99.8%,99.9% and 100% respectively. Conclusion Above data proves that the sterilizer is in normal condition.
2.Risk Management Evaluations and Countermeasures in Sterilization Supply Department
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(07):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate the application of risk management in the practice of the sterilization supply department.METHODS Through the risk management theory to identify and evaluate the latent risk factor and achieve the purpose of preventing and controlling. To improve the awareness and ability of risk guarding among nurses by strengthening professional training and establish and perfect the regulations,we insisted on "zero fault" management idea and adopted irregular spot-checking and quality overruled system. We also bought the results into bonus-penalty system and continue for the quality improvement.RESULTS It strengthened the risk and quality cognition and the responsibility of the nurses and reduced the occurrences of the small defects and defaults.CONCLUSIONS The risk and quality management is binding with each other.Through the applications of risk management the most high quality sterilized goods are offered to our clinical practice due to the decreasing in risk factors.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2005;0(11):-
OBJECTIVE To compare the effect with the three methods to disinfect the ventilator circuits.(METHODS) To disinfect the ventilator circuits, three methods were used:A,soaking with chlorine compoud(disinfectant);B:soaking with 0.5% peracetic acid;C,sterilizing with ethylene oxide.Samples were taken to(bacteria) culture before and after disifection in every three methods.Biological supervision and the amount of colony were also taken at the same time.RESULTS The results of bacteria culture pre-disinfection were all positive. The amount of bacteria of ventilator circuits was between 70 000-120 000CFU/cm~2.The eligible rate of biological(supervision) in method C was 100% and its positive rate of bacteria culture was 0%.The eligible rate of biological supervision in method A was 86.25% and its positive rate of bacteria culture was 16.25%.The eligible rate of(biological) supervision in method B was 90% and its positive rate of bacteria culture was 13.78%.It was significant when method C was compared with methods A and B and the value P was less than 0.01.CONCLUSIONS It is(serious) about the pollution in ventilator circuits. The soaking methods are apt to be effected by the factors of(environment) and manual operation. Therefore it could be(ineligible) and being polluted after disinfection. The method of sterilization is the best for disinfection.

Objective To investigate the status of plaque control in patients with periodontal disease and its related in-fluencing factors. Methods A total of 350 periodontal disease patients admitted to the Hospital of Stomatological Xi'an Jiao-tong University from May 2018 to May 2022 were selected as the research subjects by the random sampling method. All patients underwent total supragingival oral prophylaxis. The total oral plaque assessment and detection, general oral examination, and a questionnaire survey on oral hygiene behavior will be conducted when patients came back for return visit at 7-10 days after operation.Single factor and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the factors affecting the effectiveness of plaque control. Results A total of 350 questionnaires were distributed in this study, and 340 valid questionnaires(97.14%)were collected. The total plaque index of the patient was(68.42±16.93)%;the plaque index in maxillary was significantly lower than that in mandibular(P<0.05);the plaque index in anterior tooth area was significantly lower than that in the poste-rior tooth area(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in plaque index between the left and right halves of the mouth(P>0.05);there was no significant difference in plaque index between zone 1 and zone 2(P>0.05);there was no signifi-cant difference in plaque index between zone 3 and zone 4(P>0.05);the plaque index in zone 3 and zone 4 was significantly higher than that in zone 1 and zone 2,respectively(P<0.05).There was no significance difference in the plaque index be-tween distal and lingual surfaces(P>0.05),while there was significance difference in the plaque index between the other dental surfaces(P<0.05).The results of univariate analysis showed that there were significant difference in plaque index among patients with different genders, educational levels, disease severity, brushing duration, and brushing method(P<0.05);the results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the severity of the disease and brushing method were the factors affecting the plaque index(P<0.05).Conclusion The overall control situation of plaque control in patients with periodontal disease is not ideal. The severity of the disease and the method of brushing teeth are factors affecting the effectiveness of plaque index control.Oral health education should be strengthened to promote plaque control in patients with periodontal disease.
