Objective To compare the therapeutic effect of combined fascia sheath suspension and frontal muscle flap suspension in the treatment of congenital severe congenital ptosis.Methods 46 cases (58 eyes) with congenital severe upper eyelid prolapse who were treated from March 2015 to March 2016 in Eye Hospital of Hebei Province were selected.The patients were divided into two groups:combined fascial sheath suspension group and frontalis muscle flap suspension.Comparisons of postoperative patients with eyelid height,eyelid radian,corneal exposure with eyes closed,eyelid activity,complication of the situation were carried out.And patient satisfaction survey was conducted.Results The effective rate of combined fascial sheath suspension group was 93.10％,the complication rate was 6.9％,and the patient satisfaction rate was 91.22±0.37,significantly better than the frontal muscle flap suspension group of patients (75.86 ％,24.14 ％ and 75.05 ± 0.28,respectively).The time of closure of the eyelid was shortened,the complications were less,and the eyelid had better activity.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusions Combined fascia sheath for congenital severe upper eyelid droop is significant,with fewer complications and a higher rate of satisfaction,which is worth clinical promotion.

Objective To develop a field psychological emergency rescue chest to improve mental health service during disaster relief.Methods The instruments and medicine involved in for mental health were determined based on service orientation,function design and expert survey,and the psychological emergency rescue chest was developed based on optimization of the external and internal structures of field Ⅳ-type chest.Results The chest developed was composed of office instruments,psychological devices,logistics instruments and first-aid medicine for mental health.conclusion The chest gains advantages in design,structure,size,transport,utilization,equipped devices and function integration,and thus is worthy promoting for field mental health service during disaster relief.

Objective To observe the protective effect of acetylcysteine against radiation pneumonia.MethodsTotal of 80 patients who were inoperable were randomly allocated into treatment group and control group.Using conformal radiation technology and the total dose was 65 ～ 75Gy.The patients in treatment group were given acetylcysteine and radiotherapy;the patients in control group were given radiotherapy only.ResultsAll patients were treated radiotherapy.The effective rate( CR and PR) of treatment group was 90％,and that of control group was 85％(P ＞ 0.05);The incidence of acute radiation pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis in treatment group were 15％ and 20％,respectively;and that of control group were 33％ and 45％ respectively.There was significant difference between the two groups ( P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionUsing acetylcysteine during radiotherapy could prevent radiation pneumonia in the non-small cell lung cancer patients.

Objective To explore the feasibility of culturing dermal papillae cells (DPC) of hu- man hair in a serum-flee medium,and to observe the growth characteristics of these cells.Methods Cell culture flasks (plates) were pretreated with fibronectin,and DPC (2nd passage) were incubated with Williams E serum-flee medium supplemented with insulin-transferrin-selenite (ITS).Cells were observed by an inverted phase-contrast microscope.Proliferation of DPC was evaluated with 3-(4,5-dimethylthia- zol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and by their growth curve.Results In a serum-free medium,2nd passage DPC adhered to the flask surface within two to four hours of incubation; two to three days later,confluence,of the cells was observed,without noticeable proliferation.Four days later,cell connection was interrupted,isolated cells or cell clusters were seen,and detachment of some cells from the flask surface was observed.One to two weeks later,most cells had died.After incubation with 4% bovine serum for ten hours,cell proliferation was observed surrounding the remaining viable cell colonies. DPC growth curve showed stagnant phase and slow growth phase;however,log growth phase was not ob- served.Conclusion DPC could be successfully cultured in serum-free medium.However,the culture con- dition needs to be further optimized.

Soft tissue is one kind of elastic tissue which includes the blood vessel and nerve, and brachytherapy is a radioactive and non-invasive way for the treatment of cancer in which soft tissue is always deformed. Aiming at this soft tissue-induced-problem, the present authors have made a research on the trajectory planning in operation. The 3D artificial potential field of organ is set up by the function definition of cancer attracting force and blood vessel repulsion force, the dynamic finite element model is also built for the important displacement parameters of deformation node in needle invasion process. Moreover, the minimum potential direction in each node, and the static and dynamic trajectory planning are investigated. Finally, the experimental simulation shows the validation and correctness of the above-mentioned method.

OBJECTIVETo study the roles of type II 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11β-HSD2) and it's signaling factors in the lung tissue in pathogenesis of persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPH) in neonatal rats.

METHODSSix Sprague-Dawley rats on the 19th day of pregnancy were randomly divided into PPH and control groups (n=3 each). The PPH group was intraperitoneally injected with indomethacin (0.5 mg/kg) twice daily and exposed in 12% oxygen for three days, in order to prepare a fetal rat model of PPH. The control group was intraperitoneally injected with an equal volume of normal saline and exposed to air. Neonatal rats were born by caesarean section from both groups on the 22nd day of pregnancy. In each group, 15 neonatal rats were randomly selected and sacrificed. 11β-HSD2 expression in the lung tissue of neonatal rats were observed by Confocal laser technology, and serum cortisol levels and prostacyclin, renin, angiotensin and aldosterone in the lung tissue of both groups were measured using ELISA.

RESULTS11β-HSD2 protein was widely expressed in the lung tissue of the control and PPH groups. The levels of 11β-HSD2 and prostacyclin in the lung tissue were lower in the PPH group than in the control group, while serum cortisol levels and renin, angiotensin and aldosterone in the lung tissue were higher in the PPH group than in the control group (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONS11β-HSD2 and it's signaling factors play roles in pathogenesis of PPH in neonatal rats.

OBJECTIVETo explore the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of prostatic malignant mesenchymal tumors (PMMT).

METHODSWe retrospectively analyzed the clinical and follow-up data about 20 cases of PMMT and reviewed the literature relevant to the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of the disease.

RESULTSBased on the results of pathology and immunohistochemistry, the 20 PMMT cases included leiomyosarcoma (n = 7), rhabdomyosarcoma (n = 5), prostatic stromal sarcoma (n = 3), chondrosarcoma (n = 1), and undifferentiated PMMT (n = 4). Twelve of the patients were treated by radical prostatectomy (3 concurrently by sigmoid colostomy and 1 by cystostomy), 2 by pelvic tumor resection following arterial embolization, 1 by total pelvic exenteration, 1 by colostomy with pelvic lymph node biopsy, and 4 by conservative therapy because of metastasis to the lung, pelvis and bone. Of the 20 patients, 9 died of systemic metastasis within 3 months after treatment, 3 died at 6, 7, and 14 months, respectively, 3 survived with tumor for 5, 11, and 12 months, respectively, 2 survived without tumor for 12 and 24 months so far, all subjected to periodic chemotherapy postoperatively, and 3 lost to follow-up.

CONCLUSIONPMMT is a tumor of high malignancy and rapid progression, for which transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy remains the main diagnostic method. The clinical stage of the tumor is an important factor influencing its prognosis and the survival rate of the patients can be improved by early diagnosis and combined therapy dominated by radical prostatectomy.

OBJECTIVETo develop the techniques of total hip arthroplasty(THA) for Crowe type IV developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) with S-ROM prosthesis,and to assess its clinical results.

METHODSFrom October 2000 to October 2011,30 patients (36 hips) with Crowe type IV DDH underwent THA,including 6 patients with bilateral hip involved and 24 patients with unilateral. S-ROM prosthesis was adopted together with subtrochanteric transverse osteotomy. All the cementless acetabular cups were placed at the original anatomic location. The threaded cups were put in or near the level of the true acetabulum in all patients. Full coating stems were used in femoral side. All the patients were evaluated by using the Modified Harris Hip Score. Radiographic evaluations were made preoperatively and during follow-up.

RESULTSTwo patients lost of follow-up. Twenty-seven patients with 32 hips were followed up,and the average duration was 48 months (ranging from 7 to 84 months). There was 1 patient with bilateral THA died from hemorrhagic shock. Two patients could walk freely with the visible fracture lines at 12th and 18th months postoperatively. There were no complications such as infection or nerve injuries. Modified Harris Hip Score improved from preoperative 41.7+/-3.7 to postoperative 89.1+/-2.9. There was no acetabular or femoral component revision because of mal-position or loosening of the prostheses in all patients. Postoperative X-ray showed that all the prostheses in place,good integration between acetabular cups,femoral prosthesis and host bone without loosening. All bone grafts were integrated. All the hips acquired union of osteotomy and bone in-growth. None of the patients had radiographic evidence of aseptic loosening of prosthesis.

CONCLUSIONFor the complex DDH, follow methods should be used to improve therapeutic effects:good exposure of the true acetabulum,deepen acetabulum, femoral shortening, oblique osteotomy, using the S-ROM prosthesis.

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of DAAs in treating HCV patients with HIV/HCV co-infection.Method 53 patients were divided into groups based on HCV genotype. Sofosbuvir + Ledipasvir regime were used for 1b and 6a subtypes; sofosbuvir+Daclatasvir regime were used for 3a, 3b and those cannot be typed; all the patients diagnosed with cirrhosis were also administrated with ribavirin. The course of treatment for all patients is 12 weeks.Results All 53 patients completed HCV treatment, the overall SVR rate of DAAs treatment rate was 98.1%(52/53), failure rate 1.9%(1/53) ; SVR rate of DAAs treatment among non-cirrhosis patients was 100%(41/41) ; SVR rate of DAAs treatment among cirrhosis patients was 91.7%(11/12), failure rate 8.3%(1/11) . After treatment, ALT and AST levels of DAAs treatment patients were decreased (P＜0.05), while CD4 level increased (P＜0.05) . Main adverse effects are: 12 patients had gastrointestinal symptoms (22.6%) ; 6 had nausea, vomiting (11.3%), 4 had diarrhea (7.6%), 1 had mild rash (1.9%), and 5 had elevated serum total bilirubin (9.4%) . Conclusion The overall SVR rate among DAA treatment for HIV/HCV co-infected patients is high (98.1%) with broad indications. Even patients with cirrhosis are eligible. It yielded optimistic outcomes among different gene subtypes, and effectively improved liver function and CD4 level. With oral administration, short regime course, and mild adverse effects, patients can tolerate well, indicating its effectiveness and safety.
