Chinese Journal of Biologicals 2023;36(9):1097-1104
ObjectiveTo detect the gene variation and expression of PLCH1 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC),analyze the function of PLCH1 gene in ESCC and explore its mechanism.MethodsThe copy number variation of PLCH1 in ESCC was analyzed by GISTIC,and the expression of PLCH1 in ESCC and normal esophageal tissues was detected by TCGA database and immunohistochemistry method. The expression of PLCH1 in ESCC cell lines was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR(qPCR) and Western blot, and the effects of PLCH1 silencing on the proliferation and migration of ESCC cells were detected by MTT assay, colony formation assay and Transwell assay. Results There was significant copy number amplification of PLCH1 in ESCC(G-scores > 0. 1,P < 0. 05),and the expression levels of PLCH1 mRNA and protein in ESCC were significantly higher than those in normal tissues(F = 36. 00 ~ 1 101. 00respectively,each P < 0. 000 1). After PLCH1 silencing, the ability of proliferation, clone formation and migration of ESCC cells KYESE180 and TE-9 decreased significantly(F = 35. 49 ~ 634. 00 respectively, each P < 0. 001).Conclusion PLCH1 plays an oncogenic role in ESCC,which is of great significance for the metastasis and proliferation of ESCC,and can be used as a potential target for the treatment of ESCC.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(04):-
Objective To compare the curative effects between microwave endometrial ablation (MEA) and total hysterectomy for the treatment of menorrhagia. Methods Sixty patients with menorrhagia were divided into 2 groups with 30 patients in each group, either to MEA or to total hysterectomy (control group). The intraoperative blood loss, operating time, sparing or unsparing of uterus, and length of recovery of the 2 groups were compared. Results The effective rates for menorrhagia, operating time, and mean blood loss of MEA group and control group was 96% (29/30) and 100% (30/30) (?2=0,P=1.0), (4.0?1.1) min and (68.3?1.9) min (t=-160.42, P=0.00), 0 ml and 50 ml, respectively. Conclusions MEA is a novel minimally invasive method for menorrhagia, and its curative effects are similar to that of total hysterectomy. When considered in terms of sparing of uterus and postoperative recovery, MEA is obviously superior to total hysterectomy.

Objective To explore the evidence for the morphologic comparability between the meridians and interstitial connective tissues in the lower limb with auto-marked and 3D-Rebuilding technology. Methods First, the muscles were extracted and noise was eliminated; With edge detection a convex hull of the muscles edge was found; The interstitial connective tissue points were marked in the cross section images of left leg from the digital dataset of Virtual Chinese Human-Male1(VCH-M1).Finally,the auto-marked images were reconstructed with 3D-Doctor. Results The reconstructed meridians in the lower limb auto-marked with computer procedures tallied basically with the meridians and collaterals recorded in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) illustrative graphics. Conclusion Having the advantages of digital anatomic study on acupuncture points earlier and mature 3D-Rebuilding techniques, the department of Anatomy of South Medical University cooperated with the Department of Scientific Calculation and Computer Application of Sun Yat-sen University to devise a set of computer programs which could be used to AutoMark interstitial connective tissues in Virtual Human lower limbs and then reconstruct virtual fascia meridians which corresponded with the TCM records. This method avoided man-made error to a certain degree in the process of recognizing and rebuilding of fascias. The study is significant to explore the morphologic comparability between the meridians and collaterals and interstitial connective tissues in human lower limb.

Objective To compare the diagnostic value of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) versus digital mammography (DM) in the evaluation mass like lesions in dense breasts. Methods Eight hundred and fifty eight patients, who had DBT and DM, with breast diseases confirmed by pathology were retrospectively reviewed. The breast density and the imaging features were classified according to the standard of American College of Radiology(2013) and breast imaging reporting and data system (BI?RADS) scores. Six hundred and thirty one patients with mass lesions in dense breasts were chosen to included. All 631 patients had DM of both breasts and DBT of affected breast prior to mastectomy. Pathological results were used as the golden standard. Detection rate and diagnostic accuracy of masses, sensitivity and specificity of diagnosis, false negative and recall rates, the margins and spicules and BI?RADS category were calculated. The detection rate and diagnostic accuracy, the margins and spicules of masses were compared with Chi?square test, the BI?RADS scores were analyzed with rank test. Results With DBT, average detection rate increased from 77.3%(488/631) to 84.3% (532/631), average diagnostic accuracy rate increased from 73.4%(463/631) to 82.3%(519/631),with statistical significant difference between groups (c2=27.191,36.890,P<0.01).Sensitivity for DBT and DM were 68.1%(205/301) and 58.8%(177/301), respectively. Specificity for DBT and DM were 95.2%(314/330)and 86.7%(286/330), respectively. Recall rate for DBT and DM were 3.6%(23/631)and 9.8%(62/631), respectively. One hundred and seventy two cases and 75 cases with circumscribed masses of benign cases were detected by DBT and DM, respectively. One hundred and eighty-two cases and 115 cases with spiculated masses of malignant cases were detected by DBT and DM, respectively, with statistical significant difference between groups (c2=70.471 and 21.707, P<0.01).
