1.Study on the characteristics of the image of primary liver cell cancer using triphasic helical CT
Journal of Medical Research 2004;27(1):56-62
51 patients with primary liver cell cancer determined by pathological anatomy or with liver tumors determined by ultrasound or CT image and AFP > 500ng/ml were investigated. Triphasic helical CT had detected diffused infiltration on 5 patients, multitumor on 20 and single tumor on 26 patients. On 46 patients with localized damage, there were 121 tumors sized 0.9-12.0 cm. Necrosis was common in > 5 cm tumors with a rate of 53.1%, but 21.5% if its size was not considered. Triphasic helical CT technique had reflexed the hemodynamic nature of the liver parenchyma and the primary liver cancer, therefore it gave prospective information helping the diagnosis and the decision of the treatment strategy.

2.Validation of a Chinese version of psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics questionnaire
Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2011;17(2):128-131
Objective To translate the original English version of psychosocial impact of dental aesthetics questionnaire (PIDAQ) into Chinese version and to test the psychometric properties of the Chinese version for use among the Chinese young adults. Methods In accordance with standard procedures of international quality of life assessment project, the original English version of PIDAQ was translated into Chinese, pre-tested and cross-cultural adapted. Subsequently the Chinese version and two other scales, aesthetic component of the index of orthodontic treatment need (IOTN-AC) and perception of occlusion scale (POS), were administered to young adults, 140 of which were orthodontic patients on the first visit, and 296 were general residents without orthodontic treatment in Guangzhou.Reliability and validity of the translated scale were assessed. Results Cronbachs α of the translated scale was 0. 942, standardized Cronbachs α was 0. 943, corrected item-total correlation ranged from 0. 392 to 0. 812. PIDAQ and its 3 dimensions were significantly associated with IOTN-AC and POS.Conclusion The translated Chinese version of PIDAQ demonstrates good reliability and validity. Its good psychometric properties provide the theoretical evidence for further use in Chinese young adults.

Objective To probe into the trust of residents on the health centers' service offered in their community in general for providing better family doctor services. Methods A custom-made trust scale for medical service (including 23 indicators) and random sampling were called into play.An imercept survey was made to 224 residents of different gender, age and education in a community in Beijing regarding their overall trust on medical service. Results The different satisfaction over their selection of the 23 indicators among residents of different gender is not significant statistically (P>0.05); the seven differences of the residents of different ages regarding their trust of the general medical service are significant statistically; the 11 differences of the residents of different education regarding their trust on the community health centers in general are significant statistically. Conclusion The GP-based community health centers are expected to improve the trust of residents on them in general,by means of enhancing government responsibility, government investment and the improvement of services of general practitioners.
6. Effect of retrograde perfusion with autologous blood through inferior vena cava on MDA and SOD in serum, liver and kidney during moderate hypothermic lower body circulatory arrest in pigs
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2011;32(4):413-416
Objective To study the effect of retrograde perfusion through the inferior vena cava (IVC) during moderate hypothermic lower body circulatory arrest on malondialdehyde (MDA) content and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the serum, liver and kidney of pigs. Methods Twenty healthy pigs were randomly divided into two groups: group A had moderate hypothermic lower body circulatory arrest for 90 min, group B had moderate hypothermic lower body circulatory arrest and retrograde perfusion through IVC at the same time. SOD activities and MDA contents in the serum, liver and kidney were analyzed before retrograde perfuston(T1), 1 h after circulatory arrest(T2), and 1 h (T3), 3h (T4), and 5 h (T5) after reperfusion. Results There were no significant differences in SOD activities and MDA contents in the serum, liver or kidney between the two groups at T1 (P<0.05). Serum MDA contents were increased and the SOD activities were decreased in both groups at T3, T4, and T5, with the changes in group B being significantly small than those in group A (P<0.05). MDA contents in the liver and kidney in group A were significantly higher and the SOD accivicies were significantly lower than those in group B at T2-T5 (P<0.05). Conclusion Retrograde perfusion with autologous blood through IVC can partly alleviate the ischemic-reperfusion injury of liver and kidney during moderate hypothermic lower body circulatory arrest in pigs, showing a protective effect on the hepatic and renal function.
7. Separation and purification of superoxide dismutase from blood by polyacrylic acid sodium and the influential factors
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(23):1985-1990
OBJECTIVE: To purify superoxide dismutase from fresh pig blood by using definite molecular weight polyacylic acid sodium (PAAS) as dispersant, explore the effect of different molecular weight of polyacylic acid sodium on SOD activity, and compare the new process with the traditional process to determine the optimum molecular weight of polyacylic acid sodium for purification of SOD from blood. METHODS: Low, medium, and high molecular weight polyacylic acid sodium were used as highly efficient electrolyte with copper chloride as enzyme activator agent to improve the traditional blood purification technology via the key steps such as hemolysis, thermal alteration, cold acetone precipitation, ultrafiltration concentration, filtration chromatography and ion exchange chromatography. RESULTS: High purity enzyme was obtained, the enzyme activity was up to 5585 and 6 148 U · mg-1, and the product yields were 15.2% and 11.5%, respectively. The activity recoveries were 55.2% and 45.8% resectively after purification. SDS-PAGE showed a single stripe, and the subunit's molecular was around 16 × 103. Different molecular weight of PAAS played inconsistent role in the process of purification of SOD. PAAS with a solid content of 3.45% and a hemolysis volume of 20% was suitable for the purification of blood SOD. CONCLUSION: Low molecular weight PAAS is suitable as a polymer electrolyte to purify blood SOD, while the medium and high molecular weight PAAS are not appropriate for industrialized purification.

OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy difference of analgesia and detumescence on ankle sprain among acupuncture at Xiaojie point combined with tendon regulation manipulation, acupuncture at Xiaojie point and tendon regulation manipulation.
METHODSSixty cases of ankle sprain were randomized into a combined therapy group, a Xiaojie point group and a tendon-regulation manipulation group, 20 cases in each one. The combined therapy of acupuncture at Xiaojie point and tendon regulation manipulation, the acupuncture at Xiaojie point and the simple application of tendon-regulation manipulation were applied respectively in the three groups, once a day, 3 treatments were required. The symptom score such as pain, ecchymosis, swelling and motor dysfunction and the total score were observed before and after treatment in the three groups. The different values of pain and swelling scores were compared before and after treatment in the three groups. The efficacy was compared among the groups.
RESULTSThe total effective rate was 100.0% (20/20) in each group. But the curative rate was 85.0% (17/20) in the combined group, 65.0% (13/20) in the Xiaojie point tion manipulation group. After treatment, the symptom scores of pain, ecchymosis, swelling and motor dysfunction and the total score were all improved as compared with those before treatment in the three groups (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). The pain score in either the combined therapy group or Xiaojie point group was lower than that in the tendon-regulation manipulation group after treatment (0.20 -/+ 0.41, 0.15 +/- 0.37 vs 0.60 +/- 0.50, both P < 0.05). Swelling score in the Xiaojie point group was different significantly from that in the tendon-regulation manipulation 0.49 vs 06.4 vs. 20+0.41, P < 0.05). The different value of pain score in either the combined therapy group or Xiaojie point group was higher than that in the tendon-regulation manipulation group before group after treatment (0.65 bined therapy group or Xiaojie point group was higher than that in the tendon-regulation manipulation group before and after treatment (2.35 +/- 0.59, 2.45 +/- 0.51 vs 2.00 +/- 0.46, both P < 0.05). The different value of swelling score in the tendon-regulation manipulation group was higher than that in the Xiaojie point group before and after treatment (2.30 +/- 0.57 vs 1.60 +/- 0.60, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture at Xiaojie point combined with tendon-regulation manipulation achieve an apparent effect of analgesia and detumescence on ankle sprain.
