Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;304(11):176-181
The study of 1115 pupils aged from 4 to 15 years old from some schools in Cat Hai island district - Hai Phong city in 2001. Pupil rate with asthma disease was 9.3%. The incidence of asthma disease patients were atopic (allergic) asthma type with the state of moderately obstructed ventilation trouble, peak expiration flows were decreased about 32% to 37% when compared with the normal children. Most of these patients had the positive skin allergic reactions to one or more allergens (65.7%), in which the PMP allergen was the highest posivity (50%)

8.Evaluating method of quantifying specific antibodies IgE in serum for asthma diagnosis
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;0(12):77-79
The study was carried out on 56 asthma patients to show some remarks on value of method of quantifying specific antibodies IgE in identifying acute atopy in asthma patients. Primary results showed that method of quantifying specific antibodies IgE in serum had sensitivity of 67.56% and specificity of 89.47% according to ≥2 score scale. Acute atopy diagnosis by clinical standards correlated strongly with acute atopy diagnosis by method of quantifying specific antibodies IgE in serum.

9.The relation between lung function change and clinical symptoms of asthma in children
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2005;0(12):7-13
Studying on measurement of lung function and comparing the clinical symptoms with lung function change was carried out in 31 children from 7 to 15 years of age with asthma. Results: All of lung function indicators in the exacerbations of asthma children were decreased, such as FVC% and FEV1% < 80% compared with predicted, PEF and FEV1/ FVC% < 75%. There was relation between clinical symptoms with lung function. The more severe clinical signs were the more decreased indicators of measured lung function

10.Relationship between clinical symptoms and arterial blood gas in children with asthma
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2005;0(12):54-59
Studying on arterial blood gas of 50 children with acute asthma and comparing with clinical symptoms showed that there was closely relation between symptoms such as cyanosis, fast breathing, severe breathless, talks in word or phrases with pH, PaCO2, PaO2, SaO2 and HCO3. The stimulations which related closely with hypooxygenemia were PaO2, SaO2 and pH. Tugging respiratory muscle related to changing pH in blood. There was not relation between blood gas indicators and signs such as rapid pulse and wheeze
