Objective To analyze the correlation between kidney deficiency and fear stress by investigating the difference in behavior between groups of model rats.Methods The rats were divided randomly into 3 groups.To create kidney deficiency models as the experimental group by intramuscular injection of hydrocortisone; giving high-fat and high-salt diet by gastric perfusion to create spleen deficiency models as the control group; normal rats were used as the blank control group.Using light stimulation,thermo stimulation and food stimulation as the factors,to observe and analyze the difference of behavior among groups under each type of environmental stimulus.Results The behavior experiment showed the difference among groups,both kidney deficiency group and spleen deficiency group acted out more apparent fear stress than normal group (without food stimulation P=0.039,with food stimulation P=0.037).For example,under the environmental stimulus of light and no food,3 groups leaned out for different frequency in 15 min:normal group showed(5.70± 1.636)times,spleen deficiency group showed(2.30±0.949)times and kidney deficiency group showed (0.05±0.224)times,which demonstrated fear stress and physical constitution are relevant; kidney deficiency group showed the most obvious fear stress among 3 groups,which proved the correlation between kidney deficiency and fear stress was more significant.Conclusion Kidney deficiency was a significant factor of fear stress,the correlation between them could be direct.

Objective To evaluate the intraluminal manometry of the colon and X ray examination of colon transport in the diagnosis of slow transport constipation (STC).[WT5”HZ] Methods [WT5”BZ] 46 patients and 25 healthy controls underwent X ray examination of colon transport function, and colonic intraluminal manometry. 29 patients received colectomy including total in 15, partial in 12, and ileo sigmoidocolostomy in 2. [WT5”HZ] Results [WT5”BZ] It was found that the marker of transport function test within the colon was held for much longer time than normal controls and the colonic intraluminal pressure was much lower in patients than in controls.[WT5”HZ]Conclusion [WT5”BZ] Intraluminal manometry of the colon and X ray examination of colonic transport function test help in establishing the diagnosis of STC. Total or partial colectomy effected a cure for STC.

To study the relationship between serum Pre-S1 antigen and HBV DNA, serum Pre-S1 antigen and HBV DNA marker in 229 patients positive for HbsAg were detected by using ELISA method and compared. It was found that both Pre-S1 antigen and HbeAg were correlated with HBV DNA with the coefficient being 0. 9812 and could be used to reflect the existence or reproduction of HBV DNA well. Although there was statistical correlation between them, their clinical implication was not completely the same. Therefore, a conclusion was drawn that combined detection of Pre-S1 antigen, HBV and HBV DNA in the patients with different kinds of HBV infection was helpful to clinical diagnosis, therapeutic effect evaluation and prognosis judgement.

Objective To explore the changes in Ca2+ concentration and mitochondrial membrane potential in cultured myocytes in rat subjected to hypovolemia shock.Methods 84 Wistar rats were randomized into two groups:hypertonic solution resuscitation(HES,n=42)and 0.9% sodium chloride resuscitation(NS,n=42).At different timepoint(pre-shock stage,shock,post-resuscitation 5min,15min,30min,60min and 90min),the cultured cardiac myocytes,some were stained with JC-1,used fluo-4/AM as calcium probe,the others were assayed for Ca2+ mitochondrial membrane potential by flow cytomety.Results Ca2+ concentration of group HES at shock,post-resuscitation 5min,15min and 30min was higher than that of pre-shock stage,but mitochondrial membrane potential at post-resuscitation 60min and 90min was lower(P0.05).Ca2+ concentration and mitochondrial membrane potential of group HES at post-resuscitation 60min and 90min were more significantly different than that of group NS(P

Objective To examine the possible role of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) in transdifferentiation induced by TGF ? 1 in cultured human renal tubular epithelial cell lines(HKC). Methods The HKC cells were divided into negative control, positive control, HGF group, HGF inhibition group, HGF delayed administration group. Then the expression of E cadherin and alpha smooth muscle actin(? SMA)of HKC cells were assessed by indirect immunofluorescence ,the expression of ? SMA mRNA of HKC cells were assessed by reverse transcriptase ploymerase chain reaction(RT PCR). Results HKC cells treated with TGF ? 1 present a clear fibroblast like morphology, loss of epithelial marker E cadehrin and de novo expression of ? SMA. Simultaneous incubation of HGF or delayed administration of HGF abrogated the ? SMA expression and E cadherin depression triggered by TGF ? 1 in HKC cells in a dose dependent manner. HGF also blocked morphologic transformation of tubular epithelial cells. Conclusion TGF ? 1 is a key mediator that regulates the transdifferentiation of tubular epithelial cells into ? SMA (+) myofibroblast, HGF can inhibit transdifferentiation of HKC cells induced by TGF ? 1 , Delayed administration of HGF effectively suppresses, and partially reverses myofibroblastic transition of tubular epithelial cells

Objective To investigate the association of ILK expression in human renal interstitium and the pathological injury of renal interstitium in the patients with chronic nephropathy.Methods The expressions of ILK,TGF?1,E-cadherin and fibronectin(FN) in renal tissue were investigated with immunohistochemistry and computer image analysis system in 49 patients with chronic kidney disease.According to the score of the renal interstitial pathologic injury,49 patients were divided into four groups: 4 in no injury group(the normal control group),17 in slight injury group,16 in mild injury group,12 in severe injury group.Results ILK was hardly detected in normal control group,and ILK was observed in tubulointerstitial area in 3 injury groups.The expression of ILK was prominent in tubular epithelial cells,next in the damaged tubulointerstitial area.A significant positive correlation was found between the expression of ILK in renal interstitial tissue and the degree of renal tubulointerstitial pathological injury(r=0.736),as well as that of TGF?1(P

Objective To explore the influence factors both at birth and after birth to the brain development of small for gestational age(SGA) infants. Methods The cerebellar area, cerebellar circumference, vertical lengths of the vermis and maximum transverse width of the cerebellar body both in midline sagital view and coronal view as well as the width of cerebral hemisphere in coronal view were measured in SGA infants through anterior fontanels by inter cranial ultrasound, and the parameters were compared with that in AGA infants. Results The cerebellar area, cerebellar circumference, vertical length of the vermis and maximum transverse width of the cerebellar body both in midline sagittal view and coronal view correlated significantly with the gestational age and birth weight and the cerebellar area and circumference correlated best with the gestational age and birth weight of infants. The width of cerebral hemisphere were also correlated significantly with birth weight. The brain growth of SGA infant was retarded at birth. The rate of the brain growth and development of SGA was accelerated after birth. It was smilar to that of AGA group, but at the age of 12 months the brain development in SGA infants was still retarded. Conclusion The growth of brain both before and after birth were retarded. Better perinatal health care and early intervention after birth should be developed.

Background The conventional therapies for childhood amblyopia mainly include optometry,occluding therapy,atropine application,fine eyesight training,instrument or regular comprehensive therapy,but the clinical effectiveness of each method had its limitation.Chinese herbs have been used to the treatment of childhood amblyopia,however,their effects are still in controversy.Objective This study was to assess the evidence of efficacy of Chinese herbs combined with moderate methods for childhood amblyopia.Methods The published papers of randomized controlled trials (RCT) and controlled clinical trials (CCT) of Chinese herbs combined with moderate comprehensive therapy for childhood amblyopia from 2000 to 2015 were searched in China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),Wanfang database and PubMed database with computer.The methodology quality of included papers was evaluated according to the criteria of Cochrane and advanced Jadad scale.Data synthesis was facilitated using Reviewer Manager 5.1 software.The overall effect,or odds ratio (OR) of the treatment was analyzed by fixed effective model.Results Thirty-three RCT or CCT papers meeting inclusion criteria were included with the total sample size 6 666,and matched demography was showed in 25 papers;referential diagnosis criteria and effective criteria were described in 29 papers and 30 papers,respectively.Advanced Jadad scale showed 6,3 and 1-2 scores in 1,2 and 30 papers,respectively.The evidence showed that the total effectiveness of treatment within the group receiving Chinese herbs combined with conventional methods was higher than that in conventional group,with a statistically significant difference between groups (polled fixed effects model [OR] =3.92,95％ confidence interval [CI]:3.30-4.64,Z=15.74,P＜0.01).Conclusions The total effectiveness rate of Chinese herbs combined with conventional methods for childhood amblyopia is superior to only conventional treatment,indicating that Chinese herbs is effective for childhood amblyopia.More well-designed RCTs are needed to confirm the effect.

Electrophysiology examination is an important technique in studying amblyopia, which mainly includes electrooculography( EOG), electroretinography ( ERG), visual evoked potential( VEP). This study does not only summarizes the definition, the mechanisms and the meaning of these indexes in the relevant research progress in recent years, but also makes a comment on the controversies among the relevant research conclusions.
