2.Some clinical and paraclinical features in 15 patients with the multiple myeloma in Friendship Hospital during 1980-1992
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;263(9):119-123
From the clinical and laboratory documents of the patients with multiple myeloma, the authors had drawn some conclusions. Most patients are from 45 to 59 years old (60%). The first clinical symptoms often seen are bone pain and anemia. Plasma cell is proliferated (in 93% of cases) and dominates the growth of other blood cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes and thrombocytes). The immuno-electro phoresis X-rays... were found. Bence-Jones protein in the urine was positive in 27% of cases

3.Risk factors for HIV-1 seropositivity in injection drug users under 30 years old
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2000;10(4):5-13
A cross-sectional survey of drug users who were selected by "snowballing" method between March 15 and May 30, 1999 in Haiphong City was conducted. Subjects (n=520: 514 males and 6 females) were interviewed and provided blood spescimens for HIV-1 antibody testing. Mean age of the subjects was 25 years, sixty-one percent (319/520) reported injecting drug. The 218 subjects (68%) were ever shared needles. The HIV-1 prevalence in Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) was 74%. Factors related to the presence of HIV antibody were sharing needles (OR: 4.12; 95%CI: 1.82-9.31), and injecting more than 31 times per month (OR: 2.37; 95%CI: 1.04-5.42). Extramarital sex within the last six months was reported by 44% of single and 24% of married IDUs. The high HIV-1 prevalence in IDUs suggests that preventive interventions for risk reductions of HIV-1 transmission are urgently needed in these populations.

4.Some opinions of progress of primary polycythemia vera
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):11-12
A study on 16 patients (male: 14; ages of 50-78) with the primary polycythemia vera treated by the specific guidelines has shown that the number of erythrocyte in patients with polycythemia vera after a duration of suffering the disease was increased, followed by gradual reduction and was at low level at last. The specific clinical signs can change comprised the number of hypertension can be reduced, the number of thrombocyte, and leukocyte can be slightly increased and should be treated in the first stage and second stage but should not be treated in the third stage

5.Some opinions of the natural transform of the diseases in the myelo-proliferative syndrome (MPS)
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):28-31
MPS comprised 4 disease's forms, such as: Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CLM), polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocytothemia (ET) and idiopathic myelofibrosis (IMF). From 1985 to May-2001 at Friendship hospital, authors have followed up a group of 86 patients with MPS and some remarks had been drawn out: Some disease's forms of MPS can transform each other, such as: +PV transformed in to CML: 10.00%; +PV transformed in to ET: 16.67%; +IMF transformed in to CML: 66.67%; +ET transformed in to CLM: 8.0%. Some case in MPS, although have not yet truly transformed, but have some changes, as such: +ET with concomitantly increasing erythrocytes: 4.0%; +IMF with concomitantly increasing platelets: 33.33%; +CML with concomitantly increasing platelets: 21.43%; Authors have also mentioned many interesting issues about the way of transformation, the last diagnosis for those disease's forms and the prognosis of these transformations

6.Clinical features of patients with myeloproliferative syndrome (MPS)
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):21-2
This study included 55 patients who admitted to Huu Nghi Hospital from 1985 to 1998. It is found that spleen enlargement is common in myeloproliferative conditions, with the incidence is 100% of patients who have chronic granulocytic leukemia and those have idiopathic myelosclerosis. These patients have grade II or more of spleen enlargement. This symptom is less common in patients who have polycythemia vera or essential trombocythemia, and these patients are likely to have grade I of spleen enlargement. Anemia is more likely to be found in patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia, especially in those with idiopathic myelosclerosis, but this symptom is infrequent in patients with essential trombocythemia. Patients with polycythemia vera in typical have excessive blood. Infection and hemorrhage occurred predominantly in patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia and in some cases of essential trombocythemia. Symptoms of high blood pressure, tip finger bruise and limb weakness have been found mainly in patients with polycythemia vera. In some cases with polycythemia vera, both red cell and white cell counts are increased. While patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia, polycythemia vera and idiopathic myelosclerosis expresses obvious clinical symptoms, the symptoms in patients who have essential trombocythemia are unmarked.

7.The cytological features of patients with myeloproliferative syndrome
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):18-20
Objectives: Finding the markers/symptoms of cytology for each disease and all diseases belonged the myeloproliferative syndrome (MPS). Subjects: 55 patients in the H÷u NghÞ Hospital during 1985-1998. Results: The increased leukocytes and immature cells found in the peripheral blood of patients with MPS. However, the level and rate of these were different: 1st increased level (chronic granulocytic leukemia, 2nd increased level (essential myelofibrosis), 3th increased level(primary multi erythro was always accompanied with erythrocythmia where as the chronic granulocytic leukemia and essential myelofibrosis were accompanied with anemia. The primary thrombocythenia remains the normal erythrocyte. The thrombocythenia is not a obviously marker in the primary thrombocyte but also in the chronic granulocytic leukemia and the primary multierythrocyte. The thrombocyte found in the peripheral blood of patients with myeloproliferative syndrome. The number of marrow cells were reduced in the essential myelofibrocythemia remained at normal level. The significant increased number of marrow cells found in the most of patients with the chronic granulocytic leukemia. The obvious increased rate of germ cell of granulocyte and thrombocyte in the marrow cell picture.

8.Effect of Ganoderma lucidum on cholesterol drunk-induced hyperlipidemia rats
Journal of Medical Research 2005;38(5):42-45
Objectives: To evaluate the influence of Ganoderma lucidum on cholesterol drunk - induced hyperlipidemia rats. Methods: Rats were received cholesterol in the oral daily during 8 consecutive weeks in order to hyperlipidemia rats. From 5th week, extract of Ganoderma lucidum (GL) at the doses of 2g/kg, 4g/kg administered orally was investigated in cholesterol drunk - induced hyperlipidemia rats. Results: GL significantly decreased plasma triglycerid, total cholesterol, LDL - C, but increased HDL - C. The effect of GL on plasma lipid level at the oral doses of 2g/kg, 4g/kg was equal to each other and to Lopid (gemfibrozil) at the dose of 140mg/kg. Conclusions: GL have a hypolipidemia effect on rats.

9.Adaptive experiment of VNUKOVO-32 vcell culture rabies vaccine strain in cell lines
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2005;15(5):128-132
Vnukovo-32 (cell culture rabies virus vaccine strain) was propagated experimentally in primary hamster kidney cell (PHKC), primary Chick embryo fibroblast cell (CEF) and human diploid cell (WI-38). These 3 cell lines were infected with Vnukovo-32 by the same mount of infection (MOl) - lLD50/l000 cells. The result showed that the Vnukovo-32 was adapted on all experimental cell lines, met the criteria of master seed (the titer ranging 6.4-7.5 log LD50/ml), and reached the highest titer on the 7th - 9th day postinfection in three cell groups. Moreover, the highest titer of Vnukovo-32 was met in human diploid cell (WI-38), then in PHCK, and the lowest was in CEF. From these results, it is suitable to use WI-38 to propagate Vnukovo-32 for master and working seed. The procedure for propagation of Vnukovo-32 is set up.

10.Treatment of myelodysplasia syndrome
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2003;0(5):16-22
Myelodysplasia syndrome is a diseases group of which quite
difficult cure and prediction. There are many treatment methods however it depends on patient’s age, level of diease, rate of blast in bone marrow. The treatment includes: chemical treatment, trasplant originative cell, support treatment. Other method is combination of various treatment methods: Use Ara-C combine with depersolon, chemical treatment combine with stimulative agent of blood and trasplant originative cell
