Objective To study the effect of rhodiola crenulata compound on serum corticosterone and myocardial glucocorticoid receptor ( GR) in rats exposed high sustained +Gz.Methods Seventy-two healthy SD rats were randomly divided into six groups: blank control group, stress control group, +10 Gz stress group and low, medium, high dose drug group, with twelve rats in each.20 mL/kg menstruum was fed to each rat once per day for 14 days.Low, medium and high dose drug group were fed with rhodiola crenulata compound at doses of 0.75 g/kg, 1.5 g/kg and 3.0 g/kg respectively, the other three groups were fed with equal volume saline.Rats were exposed to high +Gz in 15th day.The concentration of corticosterone in the serum of each group rats was detected with ELISA. Western blot was used to detect the expressions of GR in the myocardium of each group rats .Results The content of corticosterone was significantly elevated in +10Gz stress group, while the expression of GR in the myocardium was markedly declined (P <0.01,P <0.05).However, compound preconditioning could decrease concentration of corticosterone in the serum and enhance the expression of GR in the myocardium from rats after +10 Gz exposure. The corticosterone concentration of medium and high dose drug groups was significantly lower and the level of GR expression in the myocardium was significantly higher than that of +10 Gz stress group ( P <0.05 , P <0.01 ) . Conclusion Rhodiola crenulata compound preconditioning could regulate the concentration of corticosterone in the serum and the level of GR expression in the myocardium of the rats exposed +10 Gz, which may be related with its protective effect on high sustained +Gz-induced injury of myocardium.

This article was aimed to study the chemical constituents in Tragopogon porrifolius L. and their activities by pharmacological experiment in order to provide evidences in the further development of the usage of this medical resource. Under the guidance of pharmacological activities screening results, compounds were isolated by repeated silica gel, macroporous resin column chromatography and HPLC. Their structures were identified by means of UV, IR, MS, NMR and other chemical evidences. The results showed that T. porrifolius L. (i.e., n-butanol extraction part) can increase survival time of mice in the oxygen-lacking state (P < 0.05). Two compounds of biological alkaloids, which were identified as 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline-3-carboxylic acid (Ⅰ) and adenine (II), were isolated. It was concluded that compound Ⅰ and II were obtained from T. porrifolius L. for the first time.

This paper was aimed to analyze and study the process of Turmeric fine pulverizing; and the powder properties of Turmeric ultra-micro powder after the process. Based on d50, the powder properties of Turmeric ultra-micro powder were summarized by using orthogonal design to select the optimal Turmeric fine pulverizing. Compari-sons were made on powder properties, such as exterior characters, IR spectra, fluidity and hygroscopicity before and after fine pulverizing. The results showed that optimal fine pulverizing process was determined based on orthogonal design. The conditions were that the material was 1 200 g, with water of 5.5% and crushing for 40 min. Compari-son of powder properties of Turmeric powders before and after fine pulverizing showed that as the diameter of the particle decreased. Turmeric particle gradually showed signs of aggregation. At the same time, granular sensation disappeared;the color turned lighter;powder became finer;fluidity was reduced;balanced hygroscopic capacity el-evated. Although the chemical composition and molecular structure had not changed;initial velocity and capacity of hygroscopicity increased, acceleration declined. It was concluded that Turmeric fine pulverizing was a convenient, reliable and practical process, with small size of particle. It can be used for Turmeric fine pulverizing. The compre-hensive evaluation showed that ultrafine powder four as the optimum powder.
6.Effects of Social Support, Sleep Quality, and Oral Health Impact Profile on Depression among Pregnant Women.
Journal of Dental Hygiene Science 2017;17(2):134-141
This study examined 191 pregnant women before delivery in an obstetrics and gynecology clinic in North Gyeongsang Province from May to September 2016 by using a questionnaire after obtaining informed consent for voluntary participation in the study. The study was performed to investigate the association of depression with sociodemographic characteristics, pregnancy-related characteristics, social support, sleep quality and Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP) in pregnant women. The prevalence of depression among the pregnant women was 25.1% in the healthy group and 74.9% in the depression group. The depression level was significantly higher in women in the depression group who were unsatisfied with their marriage life, had no occupation, had lower social support, had poor sleep quality and had higher OHIP scores. The results of the logistic regression analysis indicated that, the risk ratio for more severe depression was significantly higher in the group with no experience of miscarriage and induced childbirth than in the group with childbirth experience. Conversely, the risk ratio for more severe depression was significantly lower in the group with high social support than in the group with low social support. Depression in the respondents significantly positively correlated with sleep quality and OHIP score but significantly negatively correlated with social support. The multiple regression analysis revealed that the depression level was significantly higher by 22.3% among pregnant women with lower marital satisfaction, no childbirth experience, lower social support and higher OHIP scores. In summary, depression was related to marital satisfaction, childbirth experience, social support, and OHIP score, among others, in pregnant women in this study. Therefore, further investigation is warranted to construct programs and measures that will help build positive thinking by designing and verifying a three-dimensional study model by taking into consideration various variables to reduce the incidence of depression in pregnant women.

OBJECTIVE:To probe into the profits level and profits-gaining capability of Chinese pharmaceutical industry.METHODS:Based on the data recorded in yearbooks between 2001 and 2006,the profits levels were compared between Chinese pharmaceutical industry and China social average assets, other industries in China and overseas pharmaceutical industry.RESULTS:Between 2000~ 2005,the profits level of Chinese pharmaceutical industry was lower than that of Chinese social average assets,i.e.the profit-gaining capability of Chinese pharmaceutical industry was lower than that of China social average assets.Between 2002~ 2004,the profits level of Chinese pharmaceutical industry ranked at the first 10 places among the 39 industries, but dropped far behind in 2005,meanwhile the number of pharmaceutical enterprises who suffered loss increased greatly.CONCLUSION:The prospect for the development of Chinese pharmaceutical industry and the industry environment they confronted are far from optimistic.

To evaluate the ability of microbial mix-culture fermenting syngas into ethanol, we studied the microbial mix-cultures A-fm 4, G-fm 4, Lp-fm 4 and B-fm 4 obtained by enrichment and compared with Clostridium autoethanogenum DSM10061 with 10% and 25% inoculation size. The results show that, with 10% inoculation size, the ethanol production of A-fm 4, G-fm 4, Lp-fm 4, B-fm 4 and C. autoethanogenum were 349.15, 232.16, 104.25, 79.90 and 26.99 mg/L respectively. With 25% inoculation size, the ethanol production were 485.81, 472.73, 348.58, 272.52 and 242.15 mg/L respectively. Higher inoculation size will increase the production of ethanol. The tested mix-culture exhibited a significant yield advantage compared with the maximum production of C. autoethanogenum reported in the literature (259.64 mg/L). This research provided a practical method to improve ethanol production from syngas.
