ObjectiveTo study the missing items in questionnaire cfidentification for TCM constitution.MethodsThe questionnaires were regarded as study objects,which were independently finished by 1322 participants in Changfeng community who were over 45 years and agreed to participate in.The data'was analyzed by SPSS.ResultsMissing items were found in the questionnaires,with a missing rate of 33.74％ on an overall basis.No statistic difference was noted between male and female (x2=0.67,P＞0.05).The rate of missing items increased as participants' age climbing up to the age of 80,and then decreased.Groups characterized with age and gender showed difference in missing items.89.69％ of the incomplete questionnaires had less than 3 missing items,which concentrated in some specific items.ConclusionAttention should be addressed to the fact that missing items were found in questionnaircs of identification for TCM constitution finished independently by residents.

Objective To investigate the trunk stability control of spastic cerebral palsy patients,and to analyze their visual compensation and the resulting symmetrical balance of the trunk.Methods Twenty children with spastic cerebral palsy and 20 healthy children formed the experimental and control groups respectively.Their balance was tested using the PK 254P rehabilitation system.Trunk stability and symmetry parameters were measured in standardized silent sitting for 30s with the eyes open and closed.The anterior-posterior (AP) and mediolateral deviations of the center of pressure (COP),the average speed of COP excursions in each direction,the COP perimeter,and the ellipse area of the COP were quantified.Results The two groups showed statistically significant differences in the average values of all the variables measured.The differences in the trunk stability control parameters of the experimental group between the eyes-open and eyes-closed conditions were significantly greater than those of the control group.The offset of the medial-lateral COP in the spastic cerebral palsy subjects was nearly symmetrical (the average position of the COP on the X axis was close to zero),while the anterior-posterior offset tended to the anterior direction (the average position of the COP on the Y axis was significantly positive).The medial-lateral and anterior-posterior offsets of the health subjects were nearly symmetrical (both close to zero).Conclusion Children with spastic cerebral palsy have less trunk stability control than healthy children.They rely more on visual cues in compensation.Their medial-lateral COP control is nearly symmetrical,but their anteriorposterior posture tends to the anterior.

The ultrastructural changes in growth hormone (GH) cells of rabbit adeno-hypophysis are determined quantitatively with stereological method after burn injury. Blood sugar levels are concurrently measured. But the arrangement pattern of some retinula in the dorsal or ventral region is also the mirror image inversion.The greater part of pigment granules in the retinula cells No.1～6 move towards the rhabdomere, the pigment granules in the retinula cells No.7～8 do not move, but the pigment granules in the some retinula cells No.7～8 move towards the rhabdomere under high intensity light adaptation condition.

AIM Interleukin 1?(IL-1?), which is a pivotal cytokine in inflammatory response, can inhibit human polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMN) apoptosis,which can enhance PMN-mediated cytoxicity. Therefore we research the effect of IL-1? on the change of PMN functions was studied. METHODS Functional capacity of PMN was assessed by spreading, polarization (shape change), superoxide anion production and phagocytosis. RESULTS IL-1? can prolong PMN function by the inhibition of PMN apoptosis. CONCLUSION IL-1? inhibits PMN apoptosis, resulting in a larger population of surviving PMN with a greater capacity for phagocytosis and superoxide production. The later potentially facilitates PMN mediated tissue injury and may be one of mechanisms by which IL-1? contributes to organ dysfunction.

Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of appling slow-releasing triptolide on adventitia on the intima hyperplasia of autologous vein graft.Methods In 24 male New Zealand rabbits, external jugular vein to common carotid artery models were established, and then were divided into 3 equal groups at random: blank-control group, receiving no management on adventitia of the vein graft; F-127 control group, receiving local application of 0.5 mL of 20 % F-127 on adventitia of the vein graft; experiment group, receiving local application of 0.5 mL of 20 % F-127 containing triptolide 300?g. Vein graft specimens were harvested at 2 weeks after the operation. Histomorphologic methods were used to detect the degree of intima hyperplasia of the specimens.
