Objective The purpose of this study is to determine whether the TransAtlantic InterSociety Consensus (TASC) criteria (Ⅱ-2007 versions), the Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS) runoff score or risk factors for peripheral arterial disease were correlated with postoperative outcome of superficial femoral artery occlusive disease. Methods From January 2006 to September 2009, patients who suffered from lower extremity atherosclerosis occlusion disease and underwent endovascular or surgical therapy in superficial femoral artery segment were reviewed retrospectively at Beijing Tongren Hospital. Femoralpopliteal artery lesions were graded according to the TASC Ⅱ criteria. Runoff scores were determined in infrapopliteal artery segment lesions. All patients were followed up. Kaplan-Meier method was applied to calculate primary patency rate, and COX regression analysis was used to determine if TASC Ⅱ classification, runoff score, or factors for peripheral arterial disease affected primary patency rate. Results 142 patients (197 limbs) were followed up after treatment at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and every 6 months thereafter. Median follow-up time was 13 months. By Cox regression analysis, TASC Ⅱ classification(RR =1.471,P = 0. 012 ), runoff score ( RR = 1.190, P = 0. 004 ), and type 2 diabetic mellitus ( RR = 2. 320, P =0.019) significantly affected primary patency. Conclusions Postoperative poor patency rates are associated with higher degree of the TASC Ⅱ lesions, poor initial runoff score, and type 2 diabetic mellitus in patients of superfical femoral artery occlusive disease.

Objective Through analyzing nursing course-teaching plans of 10 representative higher vocational colleges,to realize advantages of the curriculum implementation and contents to be improved from the practical teaching perspective,to review the application of China's educational objectives as well as to provide the reasonable choice and practical support for deepened teaching reforms. Methods Statistical models were employed in analyzing 10 colleges' class hours and course composition. The results were compared with relative guidance documents in national scope. Results All 10 colleges' practical teaching relevant indicators exceeded the national criteria in running higher vocational colleges, but deviations were appeared in response of the national guidance of the nursing education, especially in clinical clerkship. Conclusions The quality guarantee of nursing course-teaching should be improved.A national policy should be implemented to combine the professional education accreditation with the nursing practitioner admittance, apply the minimum professional education standards to achieve the educational quality guarantee and guidance in each level.

Objective To study the efficacy and safety of low-dose azithromycin with tiotropium bromide in the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods A hundred and ten patients were randomized into three groups:tiotropium bromide group (36 cases,group A),azithromycin with tiotropium bromide group(38 cases,group B)and control group(36 cases,group C).Patients in group A were given tiotropium bromide (18 μg,q,d )in addition to conventional treatment.The patients in group B were given lowdose azithromycin (250 mg,twice a week) in combined with tiotropium bromide.The patients in control group were given the conventional treatment only.The courses of treatment lasted for six months.Results Compared with the control group,the frequency of acute exacerbation in patients treated with azithromycin and tiotropium bromide was reduced remarkably ( 2.1 ± 0.6 and 4.9 ± 0.7,t =18.5061,P < 0.05 ).The severity of clinic symptoms ( Cough 1.3 ± 0.5 vs.2.2 ± 0.6,P < 0.05 ),expectoration ( 1.0 ± 0.2 vs.1.7 ± 0.3,P < 0.05 ),anhelation ( 1.5 ± 0.8 vs.2.1 ± 0.6,t =3.6342,P < 0.001 ) ],life quality ( 29 ± 8 vs.42 ± 11,P < 0.05 ) and six-minutes walking distance( [ 370.00 ± 14.26 ] m vs.[ 290.00 ± 12.85 ] m,P < 0.05 ) of the azithromycin with tiotropium bromide group were improved significantly when compared with control.Compared with the tiotropium bromide group,the frequency of acute exacerbation ( 2.1 ± 0.6 vs.3.2 ± 0.8,P < 0.05 ),the severity of clinic symptoms (Cough 1.3 ±0.5 vs.1.8 ±0.4,P<0.05),expectoration( 1.0 ±0.2 vs.1.3 ±0.3,P <0.05) and anhelation( 1.5 ±0.8 vs.1.9 ± 0.6,P < 0.05 ) ],life quality ( 29 ± 8 vs.36 ± 10,P < 0.05 ) and six-minutes walking distance ( [ 370.00 ± 14.26 ] m vs.[ 330.00 ± 13.76 ] m,P < 0.05 ) were improved over those of tiotropium bromide group.Conclusion The long-term low-dose azithromycin in combinned with tiotropium bromide is good and safe in treating stable COPD.Therefore,it is worth of further clinical evaluation.
6. Research progress in Ypsilandra thibetica, a substitute plant of Paris polyphylla
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2017;48(1):203-210
The plants in genus Ypsilandra Franch (Liliaceae) have similar chemical constituents and pharmacological activities with Paris L., the major active ingredients of them are steroidal saponins, and their pharmacological effects include antibacterial, antitumor, and hemostasis. Therefore, Ypsilandra thibetica could replace Paris L. to some extent and alleviate its crisis. In this paper, the research progress of the current studies of Y. thibetica is summarized. It may provide the reference for the further studies of this plant.

Objective To study the effect of the combined medial and lateral operative approach for the serious intra -articular fractures of calcaneus. Methods The lateral and medial approach for the treatment of the serious intra -articular fractures of calcaneus 22 cases (26 feet),fully exposed in the medial and lateral subtalar joint surface, reduct subtalar joint surface, drill into Kirschner nails for reduction of the calcaneus angle, then graft bones fully in the defect left after reduction, used calcaneus anatomic plate and screws to fix the fracture on the lateral. Results The patients were followed up for 10 -22 months.According to the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle association ankle scoring system, the averange score was 87 points.Normal union of 22 feet,4 feet delayed union, skin necrosis no incision,no infections,no cases of neurovascular injury. Conclusion The combined medial and lateral operative approach for the serious intra -articular fractures of calcaneus is an effective method, and can fully expose the lateral and medial fracture, and is conducive to reduction of the lateral and medial articular surface, and restoration of calcaneus shape, reduce malunion and the foot -pain with walking.

Objective To establish a digital segmentational data set of larynx based on Chinese visible human (CVH). Methods Magnetic lasso and polygon tools of Photoshop were used to segment the small organs and structures of larynx of CVH to establish the segmentational data set of larynx. After conversion of the image format, the segmentational structures were extracted automatically with Thresholding Method and presented 3-D visualized, and then were checked up by its result of 3D reconstruction with Amira 4.1 software. Results Many small structures of larynx were segmentated, such as laryngeal cartilage, laryngeal muscles, vocal cords and so on. Then the segmentational data set of larynx based on CVH was established, which can be used to 3-D reconstruction accurately. Conclusion The segmentational data set of larynx is accurate and integrated, which is helpful to establish the elaborate model of larynx and can provide the method of color image segmentation.
