1.Assessing the trunk control of children with spastic cerebral palsy
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2013;(4):278-281
Objective To investigate the trunk stability control of spastic cerebral palsy patients, and to analyze their visual compensation and the resulting symmetrical balance of the trunk. Methods Twenty children with spastic cerebral palsy and 20 healthy children formed the experimental and control groups respectively.Their balance was tested using the PK 254P rehabilitation system.Trunk stability and symmetry parameters were measured in standardized silent sitting for 30s with the eyes open and closed. The anterior-posterior (AP) and mediolateral deviations of the center of pressure (COP),the average speed of COP excursions in each direction, the COP perimeter, and the ellipse area of the COP were quantified. Results The two groups showed statistically significant differences in the average values of all the variables measured. The differences in the trunk stability control parameters of the experimental group between the eyes-open and eyes-closed conditions were significantly greater than those of the control group. The offset of the medial-lateral COP in the spastic cerebral palsy subjects was nearly symmetrical (the average position of the COP on the X axis was close to zero),while the anterior-posterior offset tended to the anterior direction (the average position of the COP on the Y axis was significantly positive). The medial-lateral and anterior-posterior offsets of the health subjects were nearly symmetrical (both close to zero). Conclusion Children with spastic cerebral palsy have less trunk stability control than healthy children. They rely more on visual cues in compensation.Their medial-lateral COP control is nearly symmetrical, but their anteriorposterior posture tends to the anterior.

3.Effects of HFJV outside of the glottis on the blood gas and lipid peroxidation in dogs with hemorrhagic shock
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(05):-
18 dogs with hemorrhagic shock were divided into 3 groups. Group Ⅰwascontrol, group Ⅱ and Ⅲ were jetted with air or oxygen respectively and continuouslyoutside the glottis by HFJV (frequency 80 beat/min, driving pressure 0.2 MPa, I:E timeratio=1:2) during the uncompensated period. Results: Not much difference was foundbetween group Ⅰand Ⅱ in their blood gas, acid-base balance and plasma malondialdehyde(MDA). However, the P_aO_2, P_aCO_2, CO_2, combining power and plasma MDA in group Ⅲwere markedly higher than those of group Ⅰand group Ⅱ (P
4.THE THERAPEUTIC EFFECT OF PROPRANOLOL COMBINED WITH METHIMAZOLE IN HYPERTHYROIDISM
Yijie WU ; Zhongfu SHI ;
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1985;0(01):-
Ninty-nine initial but untreated patients with hyperthyroidism were divided at random into three groups :propranolol, methimazole, and combined groups. Determination of serum T4, T3, rT3 and TSH levels together with STI and ICG were performed before and during treatment among these groups. The results showed that in the combined group, the fall of mean T3 levels to normal was the earliest and fastest, there was a better normalization of cardiac parameters, and the clinical manifestations could be brought under control rapidly. The combined therapy of propranolol with methimazole was especially advantageous to cases of mild and moderate hyperthyroidism.
5.INITIAL OBSERVATION AND ANALYSIS OF SOME HEMORHEOLOGICAL INDEXES IN THE MIDDLE-AGED PERSON AND THE AGED IN HEALTH
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
Some Bemorheogical indexes of the middle-aged persom and the ages of "mental work pattem" health state were compared with that of the middle aged persen and the aged in general health in the paper, The authors found the values of the former were higher than that of the latter in varied degrees. Except the both sexes hematocrit and the male's erythrocyte sedimentation rate, the other inedxes of the both groups showed very significant differences. According to the cpidemiological data which showed the incidences of ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular diseases in the mental works were higher than that in the physical labourers, it is suggested that the differences of hemorheological characterislics in the both may be the one of the causes. The authors suggest that it should pay atterntion to health states of the middle aged person and the aged who had elementary normal conclusion in physical examination but they had abnormal high values of one or some hemorheological indexes.
6.Analysis of factors influencing mannitol to induce blood-brain-barrier opening
Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2000;0(02):-
AIM: To study factors influencing mannitol to induce blood brain barrier (BBB) opening. METHODS: By constant flow pump, mannitol with different concentration (20% and 25%) was infused into left internal carotid artery of adult Wistar rats via their left external carotid artery at different speed and time. Firstly, after mannitol with a concentration of 25% was transfused, the optimal open time of BBB was investigated using Evans blue as an indicator by injection at different time (0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 min). Then influences of concentration of mannitol, speed of infusion, and change of time on mannitol to induce BBB opening were studied. Finally, death rate was counted according to sex and body weight in order to observe the influence of sex and body weight on tolerance of rats. RESULTS: The open degree of BBB was optimal after 2 min when 3.6 ml mannitol with a concentration of 25% was infused in 30 s at a speed of 0.12 ml?s -1 . However, mannitol with a concentration of 20 % did not almost have any effect on opening of BBB. Slowing of infusion speed or shortening of infusion time of mannitol reduced opening degree of BBB. Body weight affected rat tolerance to mannitol, and the tolerance of the rat was higher in those with higher weight. CONCLUSION: The factors influencing mannitol to induce BBB opening are as follows: concentration, infusion speed, and keeping time of mannitol. And the tolerance to mannitol is not concerned with the sex of the rats, but the body weight of the rats.
7.Analysis on missing items of questionnaire of identification for TCM constitution responded by 1322 residents in community
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2011;33(11):1006-1008
ObjectiveTo study the missing items in questionnaire cfidentification for TCM constitution.MethodsThe questionnaires were regarded as study objects, which were independently finished by 1322 participants in Changfeng community who were over 45 years and agreed to participate in.The data'was analyzed by SPSS.ResultsMissing items were found in the questionnaires, with a missing rate of 33.74% on an overall basis. No statistic difference was noted between male and female (x2=0.67,P>0.05).The rate of missing items increased as participants' age climbing up to the age of 80,and then decreased.Groups characterized with age and gender showed difference in missing items.89.69% of the incomplete questionnaires had less than 3 missing items, which concentrated in some specific items.ConclusionAttention should be addressed to the fact that missing items were found in questionnaircs of identification for TCM constitution finished independently by residents.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2011;34(36):23-24
Objective To investigate the reason and prevention of severe hyponatremia in hysteroscope treatment of the submucous myoma.Method Retrospective study was done on 106 cases of submucous myoma,3 cases with severe hyponatremia after hysteroscope treatment. Results The rate of hyponatremia was 2.8%(3/106),patients appeared nausea and vomiting 1 hour after hysteroscope treatment, blood sodium was lower than 110 mmol/L,volume of distention liquid was 8000-10000 ml,the volume of discharge was 6300-7500 ml.Three patients were treated immediately,1 patient was given sodium lactate Ringer injection and 0.9% sodium chloride by intravenous drip, and furosemide by discontinuous injection 15 hours later, the hyponatremia was recovery; 2 patients were given 3% sodium chloride and 15% potassium chloride by intravenous drip, and furosemide by injection,12 hours later, the hyponatremia were recovery. Conclusion The prevention of severe hyponatremia complication after hysteroscope treatment of the submucous myoma not only need operate carefully but also need take active preventive measures.
9.Effect of hypoxia-ischemia on cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinases activity in cerebral tissue of neonatal rat
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2001;36(2):79-81
Objective To study the effect of hypoxia-ischemia on cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinases (caspase-3) activity in cerebral tissue of neonatal rat and probe into its significance. Methods To induce hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD), the left carotid artery of rats at day 7 was ligated and animals were exposed to 8% oxygen for 2 hours. 0.5,12,24,and 48 hours after HIBD, both ipsilateral and contralateral cerebral tissue were ditected and homogenized. caspase-3 activity was measured by cleavage of the colorimetric substrate DEVD-pNA. Results Caspase-3 activity in ipsilateral cerebral tissue increased gradually after HIBD and peaked at 24 hours, and then decreased significantly at 48 hours(P<0.001). There were no significant changes in caspase-3 activity in the contralateral tissue at all time points (P>0.05). Conclusions Significant activation of caspase-3 after cerebral hypoxia-ischemia strongly suggests that apoptosis is involved in HIBD. Application of caspase inhibitors or other anti-apoptotic agents may become a new therapeutics of HIBD.
10.An Electron Microscopic Observation on the Weibel-Paladelike body in the Growth Hormone Cell and Follicular - stellate Cell of Rabbit
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1983;0(03):-
The Weibel-Palade-like body were found in the cytoplasm of the growth hormone and follicullar - stellate cells of rabbit adenopypophsis. The body is surrounded by a single unit membrane. In this body, there are numerous of microtubules which can be divided into two groups depending upon their diameters.Yet, it is uncertain what the virtual function is and where the bodies come from. However, according to the experimental observations, it is suggested that the body serve as a mechanical power device which has relations with the regional distribution of the organelles. The intranuclear microtubules and intranuclear tubules were also found in the growth hormone cells. The diameters of these intranuclear microtubules range from 25 - 30 nm, and the intranuclear tubule about 78 nm. The fomer seems to be connected with the heterochromatin granules, and may be. a transitional pattern from heterochromatin to euchromatin, but their importance remain to be clarified.
