4.Test for Bacterial Endotoxins in Cefalotin Sodium for Injection by Gel Clot
China Pharmacy 2005;0(20):-
OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for test of bacterial endotoxin on cefalotin sodium for injection by gel clot.METHODS:Cefalotin sodium for injection was diluted in water for determination of bacterial endotoxin and allocated to sample negative and sample positive controls to determine its maximum noninterference concentration; Then bacterial endotoxins were diluted into solutions of different concentrations with the test solutions, and interference test was carried out by using tachy?pleus amebocyte lysate sensitivity compound nucleus.RESULTS:The maximum noninterference concentration of cefalotin sodium for injection was6.68mg/ml;And cefalotin sodium at the concentration of1.67mg/ml did not interfere with the test for bacterial endotoxins.CONCLUSION:The present method can replace pyrogen test with rabbit for examination of bacterial endotoxin in cefalotin sodium for injection.
5.Investigation and analysis of health management of patients with different demographic characteristics after discharge
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2013;(3):16-20
Objective To understand the total score of health management knowledge demand and self evaluation score of known health management knowledge,in order for hospitals to take more reasonable and effective health management education for patients after discharge. Methods From March to May of 2012,700 patients in a certain three level of first-class general hospital were selected before their discharge, using self-made health management questionnaire for investigation. The total score of health management knowledge demand and score of known health management knowledge among 700 patients with different demographic characteristics underwent statistics. Results After investigation, the results showed that patients with different nationalities, payment method, the average monthly income, family history, residence and intend demonstrated statistical significance in total score of health management knowledge requirement.Patients with different occupation, culture degree and accept frequency showed statistical significance in known health management knowledge. Conclusions According to the current investigation of total score of different health management knowledge demand and known health management knowledge in patients with different demographic characteristics, the hospital should take corresponding adjustment for health management mission to ensure the health management quality of patients after discharge, and improve the health management level of patients after discharge.
6.Radical resection of pancreatic cancer combined with vascular resection and reconstruction
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2012;11(4):312-313
Most of the pancreatic cancer was diagnosed at advanced stages and the resection rate was only 10%-20%.Vascular invasion was a common event in the pathogenesis of pancreatic cancer. However,in the traditional view, vascular invasion is a contraindication of pancreatic resection. With the development of surgical techniques and perioperative management, radical resection of pancreatic cancer with vascular resection and reconstruction was performed in some large centers.Preliminary results suggested that this procedure could increase the resection rate and 5-year survival to 26%-46% and 20% respectively, without increasing morbidity and mortality.Radical resection of pancreatic cancer with vascular resection and reconstruction was a safe and effective method for the surgical treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer, which should be performed by experienced pancreatic surgeons.
7.Palliative treatment for locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic cancer
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2011;10(5):329-331
More than 25% pancreatic cancers are locally advanced and unresectable. For patients underwent pancreatectomy, about 80% of patients had pancreatic cancer recurrence in 2 years. The aim of palliative treatment for locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic cancer is to relieve the disease-associated symptoms, including biliary obstruction, duodenal obstruction, and intractable abdominal pain.Surgical strategies, such as palliative resection (R1 resection ),biliary drainage and gastroenterostomy have been widely used.During recent years, neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiation have been recommended as the palliative treatment of choice for patients with locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic cancer. However,The controversy still exists. This article summarized current data of surgical and non-surgical strategies for the treatment of locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic cancer.

9.The effect of breast-feeding on newborns' pain caused by heel prick
Chinese Journal of Nursing 2010;45(5):429-431
Objective To evaluate the effect of breast-feeding on newborns' pain caused by heel prick. Methods A convenient sample of sixty newborns from a hospital in Beijing undergoing heel prick for the Newborn Screening Program Blood Test were enrolled. They were randomly divided into breast-feeding group and control group. The newborns in the breast-feeding group began to receive breast-feeding at two minutes before the heel prick until 8 minutes after the heel prick finished. The newborns' grimace, cry, heart rate (HR) and oxygen saturation (SaO_2) were recorded and compared between the two groups. Results There were significant differences on the starting time and lasting time of grimace and cry caused by pain, numbers of crying neonates,SaO_2 during and 1 to 4 minutes after heel stick,as well as the recovery time of SaO_2 after heel stick between the two groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion Breast-feeding can relieve newborns' pain caused by heel prick.
10.Preoperatively pulmonary function evaluation before liver transplantation in patients with end-stage liver disease
Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(3):279-281
Objective To assess the pulmonary function before liver transplantation in patients with end-stage liver disease. Methods One hundred and fifty-four patients with end-stage liver disease, who were waiting for liver transplantation in our hospital, were enrolled into the study. The pulmonary ventilation function, small airway function and diffusion capacity were measured and analyzed respectively. Results Among 154 subjects,140 (90. 9%, 140/154) patients had abnormal pulmonary function, shown as pulmonary diffusing capacity reduction;followed by restrictive ventilatory function reduction (42. 8% ,66/154) and small airway function reduction (37. 7%, 58/154 ), the least common manifestation was obstructive ventilatory function reduction (28.6 % ,44/154 ). Conclusion Abnormal pulmonary function in patients with end-stage liver disease is common, and the pulmonary function tests before liver transplantation has certain referential value for pulmonary function damage evaluation and postoperatively respiratory tract management.
