1.Thinking about improving the cross-cultural communication capacity of the teaching foreign language on Chinese medicine
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2011;10(9):1047-1049
The purpose of foreign language teaching in Chinese medicine is not only translation, but also clearly the role and the purposes of translation.Inputing a culture to another culture is not culture exchange, but cultural coagulation.Expressions with modem scientific system allow speculative natural philosophy freed from the ancient Chinese-style paper into the theory expressed by modem scientific language in order to solve the problems of teaching foreign languages of traditional Chinese medicine texts.

4.Magnetic resonance imaging of vulnerable carotid plaques:plaque features and risk prediction
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2014;22(2):144-149
Carotid artery atherosclerosis is a treatable and preventable cause of ischemic stroke.Increasing studies suggest that carotid plaque characteristics may be a superior means for predicting ipsilateral cerebrovascular events as compared with the degree of carotid artery stenosis. The major MRI features of vulnerable carotid plaques include large lipid-rich necrotic cores, intraplaque hemorrhage, plaque rupture, and calcification. This article reviews the major MRI features of vulnerable carotid plaques and their roles in predicting ipsilateral cerebrovascular events.
5.Effect of scopolamine on depression in mice.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2011;46(4):400-5
Based on the report of previous clinical study which showed cholinergic receptor antagonist scopolamine had antidepressant activity, this study was to investigate the antidepressant activity of scopolamine and explore its effective dose in mice, and to evaluate the effect of scopolamine on the central nervous system and learning/memory ability at its antidepressant effective dose. Tail suspension test, forced swimming test, step-down passive avoidance test and open field test were used to evaluate its effects on mice. Compared with the vehicle control group, single-dose administration of scopolamine (0.1-0.4 mg x kg(-1), ip) significantly decreased the immobility time (P < 0.01 or P < 0.001) in tail suspension test, and significantly decreased the immobility time (P < 0.001) in forced swimming test, but had no effect on the step-down latency and errors in step-down passive avoidance test. Scopolamine (0.1 and 0.2 mg x kg(-1), ip) had no influence on the locomotor activity in open field test, while at dose of 0.4 mg x kg(-1) significantly increase the locomotor activity. These results showed that scopolamine produced reliable antidepressant effect at doses of 0.1 and 0.2 mg x kg(-1), without impairment on learning and memory, as well as excitory or inhibitory effect on central nervous system in mice.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 2002;0(09):-
Objective:to study help seeking behavior of depressive patients presented as somatic complaints.Method:62 patients with depression presented with somatic complaints in general hospital and 33 presented with depressive mood in psychiatric clinics were collected. All subjects received assessment with HAMA, HAMD and a research interview.Result:depressive patients in general hospital mainly complained as poor appetite (68%), difficult in falling in sleep (66%), chest discomfort (58%), palpitation (55%), and fatigue (45%). They were different significantly to depressive patients to psychiatric clinics in level of education, help seeking behavior, illness attribution. 55 of them complained loss half of their work capacity. Conclusion:depressive patients presented as somatic complaints in general hospital consist a separate subgroup with depressive disorders.
7.Treatment of open tibio-fibula fractures with the intramedullary interlocking nails
Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2002;0(04):-
Objective To discuss clinical results of the treatment of op en tibio-fibula fractures with the intramedullary interlocking nails. Methods A group of 46 cases of open tibio-fibula fractures was collected and classified according to Gustilo classification. There were 12 cases of type Ⅰ, 9 cases of type Ⅱ, 16 cases of typeⅢA, 7 cases of type ⅢB, and 2 case of type ⅢC. All o perations were performed in the emergency operation room and all patients were f ixed with intramedullary interlocking nails. Results The follow-up of 8 months to 3 years (with an average of 20 months) showed satisfactory results, though th e local wounds needed skin flap transplantation in 6 cases and muscle flap trans plantation was performed in 1 case. Conclusion Open tibio-fibula fractures of t ype Ⅰ, type Ⅱ and type ⅢA can be treated with emergency debridement and the intramedullary interlocking nails, if the injury duration is short and the vital signs of the patients are stable.
8.Meta analysis of BISAP score system in predicting the severity of acute pancreatitis
Chinese Journal of Pancreatology 2014;14(3):149-153
Objective To investigate the value of BISAP scoring system in predicting the severity of acute pancreatitis. Methods Medline,EMBASE,Science Direct,Springer link,CBM,Cnki,Wan fang and VIP database were retrieved by computer between January 2000 and March 2013,and articles of BISAP score system in predicting the acute pancreatitis were collected according to strict inclusion criteria.Quality assessment was made by QUADAS scale.Meta-Disc1.4 software was used to analyze the heterogeneity of included articles and perform quantitative synthesis,as well as calculate the pooled sensitivity and specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, and draw the ROC curve, and the results were presented with 95% CI.Results A total of 11 articles were included, and there were 7 Chinese articles and 4 English articles.According to QUADAS scale, there were 4 articles of A grade,5 articles of B grade,2 articles of C grade. There were 6 studies using 2 as BISAP cut-off value, and 9 articles using 3 as cut-off value, while 4 studies using 2 cut-off values.Pooled analysis showed diagnostic odds ratio of 8.03 (95 % CI 5.66-11.38) when cut-off value was 2,and diagnostic odds ratio of 7.49 (95% CI 5.35-10.49) when cut-off value was 3.There were moderate heterogeneity in both groups (I2 =63.3 %,P =0.018; I2 =56.1%,P =0.019).When BISAP cut-off value was 2,the pooled analysis of sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio and area under curve (AUC) were 59% (95% CI56%-63%),82% (95% CI 80%-83%),3.50 (95% CI2.96-4.14),0.45 (95% CI0.36-0.56) and0.82; and when BISAP cut-off value was 3,the corresponding values were 44% (95% CI41%-47%),90% (95% CI 89%-91%),4.59 (95% CI 3.31-6.37),0.64 (95% CI 0.61-0.68) and 0.64.The former had a high sensitivity, low specificity and large AUC,while the latter had a low sensitivity, high specificity and small AUC.Conclusions The best cut-off value of BISAP in predicting SAP is 2.When cut-off value is 2,the misdiagnosis rate is low,and the false positive rate is in the acceptable range, which is suitable for clinical application.
