Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(9):1353-1356
Objective To explore the clinical features of sentinel polyps (rectal polyps with proximal colon carcinoma) and its correlation with proximal colon carcinoma. Methods From January 2011 to June 2015,the clinical features of 331 hospitalized patients with rectal polyps were retrospectively analyzed.According to whether the patient with colon carcinoma, the clinical data of rectal polyps patients were divided into pure polyps group (n =294) and sentinel polyps group (n =37).The characteristics under endoscopy, clinical pathological features, treatment and prognosis of two groups were observed. Results The positive rate of tumor marker of sentinel polyps group was higher (67.6 %,25/37) than that of pure polyps group (6.8 %,20/294;x2 =32.174,P < 0.01).When compared to pure polyps group, most polyps of sentinel polyps group were in maximum diameter over 1 cm [62.2% (23/37) vs 46.9 % (138/294)],multi-polyps [n >5,43.2% (16/37)vs11.6% (34/294)] and adenomatous polyp [83.8 % (31/37) vs 35.7 % (105/294)] (x2 =10.863,15.686,and 22.653,P <0.01).Majority of the proximal colon carcinoma with rectal polyps was papillary adenoearcinoma and tubular adenocarcinoma which was account for 75.7 % (28/37);Duke A,29.7% (11/37),Duke B,29.7% (11/37),Duke C,24.3% (9/37) and Duke D,16.2% (6/37).96.6 % (282/294) of patients with pure polyps underwent endoscopic treatment and all of them were cured and discharged.40.5% (15/37) of patients of sentinel polyps group accepted the radical operation and 24.3% (9/37) received endoscopic submucosal dissection. Conclusions If multiple, maximum diameter over 1 cm and adenomatous rectal polyps were detected under colon endoscope, the possibility of carcinogenesis of the polyps or the proximal colon should be aware. The patient should be followed up in short-term and complete the whole colon examination.

[Objective] To explore more scientific and reasonable methods for testing the effectiveness of indoorair purifying sets, so as to obtain scientific and constant experimental data from every laboratories. [Methods] Theindoor air purifying sets were classified on the basis of their working mechanisms. Several kinds of current popularmethods for testing the purifying effectiveness and their characters were compared each other and analyzed. The in-fluencing factors and limited conditions of 3 determining models under special conditions established on the basis ofbalance model of pollutants release were explored and studied. [Results] Several current popular methods for testingthe purifying effectiveness were crude, which couldn't accurately reflact the purifying effectiveness of tested indoorair purifying sets. To ensure the experimental operation simple and strict and to obtain scientific testing data, the ex-perimental process should be controlled and transfered to a model suitable for simple volatile matter or other modelseasily operated under the control of its influencing factors. [Conclusion]The establishments of accurate testing meth-ods and accurate expressions of testing results were the sufficient and essential conditions for accurate evaluation ontesting objectives.

Bevacizumab is an efficient and low-toxicity monoclonal antibody towards serum ventricular endothelial growth factor. At present, bevacizumab has been approved by FDA to use clinically for kinds of cancer, such as colorectal cancer, lung cancer, kidney cancer and breast cancer. As more and more patients received bevacizumab cliniclly,it's toxicities are also focused on increasingly.

Objective:To investigate the sensitivities and specificities of high-frequency color doppler ultrasonography, thin layer CT enhancing scan and 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy in diagnosis of secondary hyperparathyroidism(SHPT)in uremia patients. Methods: High-frequency color doppler ultrasonography, thin layer CT enhancing scan and 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy were performed in 35 uric patients to detect the hyperplastic parathyroid glands. Then biopsies with thin needles were conducted with B ultrasound instruction in hyperplastic glands to determine the sensitivities and specificities of the above techniques and free combination of each 2 of them in diagnosis of SHPT. Results: The sensitivities /specificities of high-frequency color doppler ultrasonography, thin layer CT enhancing scan and 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy were 73%/95%, 75%/93% and 89%/98%, respectively; the sensitivity/specificity of 4 combinations: high-frequency color doppler ultrasonography plus CT, high-frequency color doppler ultrasonography plus 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy, CT plus 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy, and high-frequency color doppler ultrasonography plus CT plus 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy were 84%/90%, 93%/93%, 95%/93%, and 100%/90%, respectively. Conclusion: The sensitivity of 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy SHPT is higher than that of high-frequency color doppler ultrasonography and CT, but the specificity is not significantly different 3 photographic techniques. However, combination of high-frequency color doppler ultrasonography and 99m Tc-MIBI biphasic scintigraphy is simple and sensitive and can be regarded as the first choice for diagnosis of SHPT in uremia patients.

Objective To explore the difference of immunosuppresive effect between the expanded Stro-1+ and Stro-1-subgroups of human mesenchymal stem cells in vitro. Methods Mononuclear cells (MNCs) were isolated from bone marrow (BM) samples and seeded in a T-75 cm2 tissue culture flask contained with Dexter medium. When 50% confluence was obtained, adherent cells were collected and incubated with anti-stro-1 antibody, and the Stro-1+ and Stro-1-MSCs were further seeded for expansion. The total culture time (median) was 15 days. Cells were then analyzed by flow cytometry. One-way mix lymphocyte reaction (MLR) (1?105 responding cells and an equal number of stimulating cells/well were co-cultured in 96-well plates) and nonspecific mitogenic stimuli phytohemagglutinin (PHA) plus interleukin-2 (IL-2) induced lymphocytes proliferation (PBL 1?105/well were mixed with PHA 10?g/ml and IL-2 500U/ml in 96-well culture plates) were established in vitro. 1?103-3?104 irradiated Stro-1+ MSCs and Stro-1-MSCs were added into the two systems at the beginning of reaction. Immunosuppressive actions of both Stro-1+ or Stro-1-MSCs were compared. Results Adherent cells contained a median of 9% (range 5%-26%) Stro-1+ cells, which expressed higher immunophenotype of MSCs. In both reaction systems, suppressive actions occurred in a dose-dependent fashion when whatever Stro-1+ MSC or Stro-1-MSC were added. However, that the addition of 1?103 Stro-1-cells enhanced rather than inhibited the lymphocyte proliferation in one-way MLR. In the presence of various concentrations of MSCs, Stro-1+ MSCs always showed a significantly increased inhibitory effects in comparison to Stro-1-MSCs (P
