3.INHIBITORY EFFECT OF ANTIFUNGAL AGENTS INCORPORATED IN DENTURE LINING MATERIALS AGAINST CANDIDA ALBICANS.
The Journal of Korean Academy of Prosthodontics 1999;37(3):293-300
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the in vitro antifungal effect of several kinds of denture lining materials containing nystatin and silver-zeolite on Candida albicans. Three commercially available tissue conditioners (Soft-Liner, Coe-Comfort, Coe-Soft) and two direct denture relining materials (Tokuso Rebase, Durabase) were selected. In terms of the zone of inhibition and some basic physical properties, I could find the following results ; 1. Nystatin or silver-zeolite included in those relining materials had definite antifungal activities against the Candida albicans. 2. As times went on, both of the antifungal agents's activities decreased gradually. 3. Antifungal agents did not affect the relining materials' basic physical properties. 4. Direct chairside relining materials showed unfavorable dark discoloration with response to sil-ver-zeolite.

Yeungnam University Journal of Medicine 1989;6(2):279-285
Inverted Papilloma arising from mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is rare benign neoplasm, and usually unilateral arise from lateral wall of nasal cavity. This tumor is histologically benign neoplasm but clinically malignant, because of frequent recurrence and extensive bone destruction. And occasionally, this tumor can be transformed to squamous cell carcinoma or verrucous carcinoma. Recently, we have experienced a case of the inverted papilloma with verrucous carcinoma of the nose and paranasal sinuses and patient expired due to extension of intracranial cavity. We report out case with review of current literatures.

6.A Case of Purtcher's Disease.
Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1969;10(4):41-44
The traumatic retinopathy of Purtcher, traumatic liporrhagia retinae or traumatic retinal angiopathy, which has long been known to follow accidents, which is supposed to be caused by fat embolism due to particularly those involving extensive crushing or fractures in various part of the body, not from direct injuries of the eye. Ophthalmological reports on such conditions are rare. Recently we experienced a case of Purtscher's disease in which 52 year old male patient was first admitted in orthopedic department with anterior iliac crest bone fracture, left 6th-7th ribs fractures and pneumo thorax by being pinned down under about 2 tons weights at a casting factory, Accordingly, we report here a case of traumatic retinopathy of Purtcher with literature.

7.Effect of adenoidectomy on dentofacial skeleton in naso-respiratory dysfunction children.
Yeungnam University Journal of Medicine 1991;8(1):32-41
This study was made to investigate the effect of adenoidectomy on dentofacial skeleton in naso-respiratory dysfunction children. The clinical material compromised the 24 children in a previous study who had naso-respiratory dysfunction and 24 children who were the nasal breathing with normal occlusion. The cephalograms were taken at the initial examination and 1 year later for the control group and experimental group the paired sample statistical analysis was performed. The results were as follows. 1. In cranial base variable, difference between two groups were not statistically significant. 2. In craniofacial variables, experimental group showed brachyfacial pattern but control groups didn't show significant growth pattern. 3. In maxillary variables, experimental group showed flattening the plane. 4. In mandibular variables, experimental group showed the decrease of mandibular plane angle and gonial angle. 5. In facial height variables, experimental group showed horizontal growth rotation.

8.A CASE REPORT OF GARRE.
Journal of the Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons 1997;23(4):763-766
Garre's Sclerosing Osteomyelitis is seen primarily in children and young adult and occasionally in older individuals. It is also known as chronic nonsupprative sclerosing osteomyelitis, proliferative periositis of Garre, periostits ossificans. It is commonly associated with carious molar and a history of past toothache. Radiogrphically, a focal area of well-calcified bone proliferation may be seen that is smooth and often has a laminated apperance. This disease is thought to occur because of a low-grade infection or irritation that influence the potentially active periosteum of young individuals to lay down new bone. Its treatment is directed toward removing identifiable source of inflammation. Following successful treatment of dental pathology, remodeling of the mandible generally occurs naturally but the deformity may remain and surgical recontouring may be required. We report a case of Garre's sclerosing osteomyelitis, treated by surgical recotouring and antibiotic therapy, in 9-year old female with literature review.

9.A Case of Left Ventricular Diverticulum.
Korean Circulation Journal 1985;15(3):503-506
Left ventricular diverticulum is rare cardiac malformation;fewer than 30 cases have been reported in the world. We present a case of left ventricular diverticulum with chest pain suggested unstable angina. Myocardial rupture of this case was occured during cardiac catherization. patient was recovered and discharged. Relevant literature was also reviewed.
