1.12th International Conference on AIDS
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2000;(2):10-13
12th International Conference on AIDS was organized in 1998 in Geneva with aim 'Shorten the Distance'. The conference presented some major achievements of AIDS control including vaccine development, treatment (drug combination, early treatment, optimal and alternative treatment in the long-term, multitherapy and optimal inhibition of each drug, dosage and drug resistance).

2.Discrimination and differential treatment - a barrier in AIDS control
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;9():2-4
The discrimination, differential treatment, refusal and uncovering of secrete related with HIV/AIDS affected badly on the HIV/AIDS control, care and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients, families and community. The anti-discrimination and anti differential treatment for patients with HIV/AIDS is a leading priority of the AIDS control in the world.

3.Persistent risks for HIV/AIDS transmission among young people
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2000;(4):6-9
It should be assured that at least 90% of young people (in the year 2005) and 95% of them (in 2010) with ages of 15-24 will approach to the education and information of HIV/AIDS, including the peer and specific education. The essential services and living experiences should be provided to young people to reduce the susceptibility of them for HIV. The comprehensive relations between parents, families, school and health staffs should be strengthened in the HIV/AIDS prevention and control. It should also equip the full, thorough information of HIV/AIDS for young people

4.Some remarks on HIV/AIDS in year 1999 epidemic in VietNam.
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2000;(4):6-9
In 1999, the HIV/AIDS epidemic has developed rapidly and spread widely to 61 out of 61 provinces and cities. The epidemic has developed mainly in drug injected users, but it tends to increase in sex industrial workers and develop to general population, especially in thirties. HIV/AIDS remains an urgent problem now because of increase in number, expanse in geography, younger in age and tends to invade more deeply to general population.

5.Men - special risk in particular risk
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2000;(4):1-3
Men were susceptible to HIV in the special condition. The HIV/AIDS prevention and control program of United Nation recognized some groups of men that should be considered including men working in dangerous sites, army, far from their home, continuous changed there offices, prisoner and street men.

6.Comprehensive care for HIV/AIDS patients - an important approach in AIDS control
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2003;9():2-4
Comprehensive care for HIV/AIDS patients in community is very necessary. The author advances 3 solution groups: infectious source includes drug use, vaccine, advisory control, treatment; infectious way include sterile instrument use; sensory body include realizing safely behaviours in infection. These are also opinions of our State "considering people with HIV are patients" to create opportunity for them to integrate with community life

7.Traditional Medicine in the treatment of headache
Journal Reasearch of Vietnam Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy 2003;0(11):8-13
According to the traditional medicine, headache was due to exopathy or internal injury. Hereafter was the treatment of headache based on the differential diagnosis: Headache (H) due to wind-cold pathogen, treatment is relieving the exterior syndrome with drugs pungent in flavor and warm in property, expelling wind and cold pathogens; H due to pathogenic wind-heat, treament is relieving the exterior syndrome with drugs pungent in flavor and cool in property, expelling wind and clearing away heat; H due to pathogenic wind-dampness, treatment is dispersing pathogenic wind, resolving dampness. H due to hyperactivity of the liver-yang, treatment is calming the liver, suppressing yang hyperactivity of the liver. H due to phlegm-dampness, treatment is resolving phlegm; H due to the kidney-yin (or-yang) deficiency, treatment is nourishing yin (or yang) and supplenenting the kidney; H due to deficiency of qi, treatment is reinforcing the spleen to replenish qi; H due to deficiency of blood, treatment is nourishing the blood, alleviating pain; H due to blood stasis, treatment is removing blood stasis to promote blood circulation, alleviating pain. The diagnosis and treatment of the three forms of migraine were also reported

8.Evaluation on the efects of Livcol in patients with chronic hepatitis B
Journal Reasearch of Vietnam Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(14):6-9
The study aimed to analyse the effects of Livcol, a herbal medication, on chronic hepatitis B. The patients were divided into two groups: the study group using Livcol, the control group using Fortec for 1 months. Results: Almost clinical menifestations reduced or disappeared, transaminase level was lowered equally in both groups with statistic significance. There was 1 case of seroconversion of HBeAg seen in both group. Livcol showed no adverse effects in this trial

9.The cerebral protective effect of a medicinal formulation in mice with ischemic/reperfusion induced brain injuries
Journal Reasearch of Vietnam Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(14):16-21
An animal model to initiate anl oxidative stress in brain has been successfully applied in vitro condition. Temporary brain ischemia is conducted by two carotid arterie occlusion for 20 min. Then a reperfusion is followed for 20 min. aiming to produce oxidative damage. MDA measurements are used to assess the levels of brain damage and protective effects of studied extracts. One formulation for "activating the blood and clearing the obstruction" has been tested for the protective activity against the ischemia/repelfusion-induced injuries to brain. The extract was given to mice in doses of 200, 300 and 500mg/kg for 10 continuous days prior to the induction of brain ischemia. This application showed a remarkable protective effects by limiting the elevated MDA levels in brain homogenates, resulted from ischemia/reperfusion (P<0.001). Corresponding to the increased oxidative stress in ischemia/reperfusion, SOD activity (an antioxidant enzyme) was found to be reduced in this model, while the studied extract almostly reversed the decrease of SOD activity when it was given to mice in the dose of 500 mg/kg body weight

10.The indispensability, objectiveness and science of the integration of modern and traditional medicines
Journal Reasearch of Vietnam Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;15():2-8
Having the common objectives is human being – health, modern medicine should coordinate with traditional medicines in order to promote ability of medicines in protecting people’s health. Combination of these two major medicines is the high step of inheritance process, as it is necessary to select the quintessence, good features and to reject the backwardness, superstition and harmfulness to human being. This combination process happens naturally, popularly in society and medicine. This is an appropriate, stable development and it will be seen as a right choice in the future
