3.The Effect of Shift Rotation Directions on Work Mistakes and Circadian Rhythms of Urinary Na, K, Cl.
Journal of Korean Academy of Adult Nursing 1999;11(1):158-168
To develop optimal shift systems for an improvement of work schedule satisfaction, health and work productivity, the effects of the direction of the rotational work shifting on the circadian rhythm and adaptation of physiological components and work mistakes were investigated in nursing students. Two groups of seven volunteers participated as experimental subjects, apd seven to twenty nursing students participated as a control group. The directions of rotation work shift were as follows CW(clockwise)-shift system rotation in the direction of day shift(3 days), evening shift(3 days), off duty(l day) and night shift(5 days), and CCW (counterclockwise) -shift system rotation in the reverse direction. Urinary Na, K, and Cl levels were measured with ion-selective electrodes. The levels of performance were measured by a questionnaire to determine the number of mistakes in 12 specific items during duty. The disturbance of Na the circadian rhythm was seen on day and night shifts, especially in the CCW-rotation shift system, and the magnitude of the daily variation was greatest in the CCW-rotation system. The daily rhythms of K and Cl shifted to the right on the evening shift, and the rhythms were reversed on the night shift, which suggests that they adapted to the altered shift work. However, the levels of Cl were higher in day and night shift workers, especially in CCW-shift system. In the ease of urine salts, it seems that the students in CW-shift system more easily adapted to the altered shift. The incidence of mistakes during work were more frequent on the CCW shift than in the CW shift. These data indicate that the direction of rotation effects the worker's health and work performance. These results indicate that the CCW rotation of shift work makes it more difficult for the workers to adapt to the shift on a physiological level, and has many more negative effects on the shift workers' health when compared with the CW rotation. Thus, a clockwise rotating shift system seems to be more desirable for the optimal health and performance of nurses.

4.Effect of bFGF-collagen shield on rabbit corneal penetrating wound healing/
Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(04):-
Trial was made on a new way of administering drugs topically for eye conditions using a collagen corneal shield to deliver the agents. A 4mm perforating incision was made at the center of the rabbit's cornea. Thirty rabbits were used which were devided at random into 3 groups. The first group served as control, the second group was given basic fibroblastic growth factor (bFGF) as eyedrops, and the third groedup collgsu aen shields which had been soaked in bFGF. After 8 days, the maximum pressures that the corneas could stand were significantly different among the 3 groups (p
5.Therapeutic effect of Swertia Mussotii Franch on immunological liver injury in mice
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2004;0(05):-
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Swertia mussotii Franch is extracted by alcohol on immunological liver injury in mice, and further evaluate its immun-regulating effect in decreasing aminotransferase and protecting heptocytes. Methods BCG vaccine and lipopolysaccharide were intravenously injected to establish liver injury model. The effects of Swertia mussotii Franch on liver injury were contrasted. Results The high-,medium-and low-dose Swertia mussotii Franch groups which had been administered for 10 consecutive days, had significantly inhibited serum ALT and AST acticities of immunological liver injury;Swertia mussotii Franch could effectively prevent immunological liver injury by BCG+LPS. Conclusion Swertia mussotii Franch can protect mice from immunological liver injury and protect the function of liver.

Objective:To study expression of lymphotoxin-?(LT-?)in SLE patients with the relationship of inordinate immunoregulation. Methods:The 82 SLE patients and 90 normal controls'serum concentration of LT-? protein was detected with ELISA and PBLs were separated for analyses of its encoding sequence with RNA spot hybridization. The polymorphisms of LT-? gene in PBLs were analyzed by PCR-RFLP.Results:The expressing level of LT-? in SLE patients was significantly higher than in controls for both seral protein and mRNA inPBLs(P
7.Better understanding retinal and choroidal vascular diseases with optical coherence tomography angiography
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2016;32(4):353-356
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a new and non-invasive imaging technique that is able to detect blood flow signal in the retina and the choroid within seconds.OCTA is different from the traditional angiography methods. The major advantages of OCTA are that it can observe blood flow signal in different layers of the retina and the choroid without injecting any dye, provide blood flow information that traditional angiography cannot provide, and enrich pathophysiological knowledge of the retinal and choroidal vascular diseases.,which help us to make an accurate diagnosis and efficient evaluation of these diseases. However there is a large upgrade potential either on OCTA technique itself or on clinical application of OCTA.We need to fully understand the advantage and disadvantage, and differences of OCTA and traditional angiography. We also need to know how to interpret the result of OCTA.With that we could make a fast diagnosis in a non-invasive way and improve our knowledge of the retinal and choroidal vascular diseases.
8.Isolation of Phenol-degrading Bacteria and Analysis of ARDRA
Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
A number of strains were isolated from the wastewater by direct plating.PCR with specific primer of phenol hydroxylase gene was used to identify the strains as phenol degrading bacteria.By this,a total of 87 phenol degrading strains were purified and divided into populations based on enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus sequence PCR(ERIC-PCR) genomic fingerprints. The results indicated that there were 15 different ERIC-PCR types present among the isolates.ARDRA with enzymes AluI revealed 4 operational taxonomic units(OTU) among 15 strains that exhibited different ERIC-PCR types. Moreover, the results indicate that there were 4 species at least.
9.Effect and mechanism of IL-18BP on acute graft-versus-host disease
Chinese Journal of Immunology 2001;0(07):-
Objective:To investigate the effect and the mechanism of interleukin-18 binding protein(IL-18BP) on acute graft-versus-host disease(aGVHD) in allogeneic bone marrow transplantation(allo-BMT) in mice.Methods:C57BL/6 recipient mice irradiated with 60Co were randomly divided into 2 groups: group A and B and were transfused with BALB/c donor cells. After transplantation recipient mice in group A were treated with NS subcutaneously daily from day 0 to day 5 and recipient mice in group B with 1 ?g IL-18BP,separately.The severity of aGVHD was evaluated in the two groups.Concentrations of IFN-?,IL-2,IL-4 and IL-10 were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results:aGVHD response was more severe in group A than that in group B.The serum concentrations of IFN-? and IL-2 in group A were higher than that in group B,while the serum concentrations of IL-10 and IL-4 were lower than that in group B.Conclusion:①IL-18BP can decrese aGVHD response;②That IL-18BP can promote the differentiation of CD4~+T cells into CD4~+Th2 cells, that is promoted by IL-18BP might be one of the mechanisms of decreasing aGVHD.
