Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;(6):71-73
Objective To investigate the effect of melatonin on serum malondialdehyde (MDA), NF-κB, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) andβ2-microglobulin (β2-MG) levels in secondary brain damage following intracerebral hemorrhage patients. Methods 90 patients secondary brain damage following intracerebral hemorrhage were divided into experimental group and control group, 45 cases in each group. The control group were given conventional treatment after surgical removal of hematoma, and the experimental group, on the basis of control group, were given melatonin capsule (6 mg melatonin) , orally, once a day, for 2 weeks treatment. The levels of MDA, NF-κB, TNF-αand β2-MG in patients’ serum were detected. Results The MDA, NF-κB, TNF-αand β2-MG levels after treatment significantly decreased compared with before treatment in two groups (all P<0.05), and the above indexes in experimental group significantly decreased compared with control group ( P <0.05 ).Conclusion Melatonin can significantly reduce the levels of MDA, NF-κB, TNF-αand β2-MG levels in brain injury patients with cerebral hemorrhage, and repair brain damage, which has a guiding significance for clinical use.
5.Observation of the effect of interferon combined with kenacort in the treatment of scars
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2016;23(8):1168-1170
Objective To observe the effect of interferon combined with kenacort in the treatment of scars. Methods According to random number table,287 patients with scars were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group(145 cases) was treated with injection of the mixture of interferon and kenacort. The control group(142 cases) was applied with contratubex. The effect and adverse reaction of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.86%,which was higher than 64.08% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2 =45.52,P<0.01).The incidence rate of adverse reaction of the two groups had no statistically significant difference(χ2 =1.25,P>0.05).Conclusion These find-ings may shed some light on the clinical application of combined injection therapy on scar treatment, given that the closed dynamic method of injecting interferon combined with kenacort significantly improved scar healing.
6.HPLC fingerprint of Xuefu Zhuyu Capsule
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(10):-
AIM:To establish a fingerprint method of analyzing Xuefu Zhuyu Capsule(Semen Persicae,Radix Angelicae sinensis,Fruclus Aurantii,Rhizoma Chuanxiong, etc.) by HPLC. METHODS: A HPLC in combination with PDA detector was applied with a HiQ C_(18)(4.6 mm?250 mm,5 ?m) column by gradient elution using methanol-1.0% acetic acid solution as the mobile phase. The flow rate was 0.5 mL/min and the detection wavelength was at 260 nm. RESULTS: Thitrty-six common peaks were obtained in the fingerprint of Xuefu Zhuyu Capsule with good separation, six of them were identified as adenosine, paeoniflorin, naringin, hesperidin, neohesperidin and ligustilide by comparing chromatogram with control compounds. CONCLUSION: The HPLC method with good precision and reproducibility can be used for the quality control of Xuefu Zhuyu Capsule.
7.Pediatric sleep-disordered breathing and oral medicine.
West China Journal of Stomatology 2014;32(4):319-322
Pediatric sleep-disordered breathing, also known as obstructive sleep apnea and hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) in children, is caused by obstruction of upper airway, characterized by repetitive pauses in breathing during sleep despite the effort to breathe, and usually leads to reduction in oxygen saturation. Due to the importance of sufficient oxygen in growth and development, many children patients suffer from abnormal secretion of growth hormone at night, and also their activity and resting of cerebral cortex during sleep. Therefore, they face great risks in keeping normal physical growth, forming mental behavior, building up learning ability and shaping personalities. It is a very important interdisciplinary subject, yet still much remains unclear about the disease. Oral medicine is one of the subjects that show increasing importance in prevention and treatment of OSAHS in children. On one hand, due to the special means of the field, such as cephalometric, it can diagnose and monitor the development of craniofacial structures, especially the upper airway. On the other hand, it can provide treatments which can both improve breath during sleep and consequent dental facial deformities. Most typical treatments include mandibular sagittal growth stimulation, transverse maxillary palatal expansion and maxillary protraction. Oral medicine provides additional treatment apart from traditional adenectomy and tonsilectomy to improve ventilation. It not only directly helps to improve deformities caused by sleep-disordered breathing in OSAHS children with indications, but also helps to avoid many of physical and mental complications, which will in turn benefit their life quality. Also, it may prospectively provide insights in treatment and prevention of OSAHS in adults.

10.Progress in pathogenesis of glutaric aciduria type Ⅰ
International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;39(5):525-528
Glutaric aciduria type Ⅰ is an autosomal recessive disorder resulting from glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase(GCDH) deflciency.Untreated patients commonly present with severe striatal degeneration and extrapyramidal sequelae during encephalopathic crises.GCDH deficiency leads to accumulation of glutaric acid and 3-hydroxyglutaric acid in tissues and body fluids (especially in brain),which are neurotoxic. There is no correlation between residual enzyme activity caused by mutations in GCDH and phenotype. The pathogenesis of glutaric aciduria type Ⅰ is complicated.Previous studies have demonstrated that glutaric and 3-hydroxyglutaric acids are synthesized in central nervous system and trapped because of limiting transport across the blood-brain barrier. The studies on metabolite-mediated neurotoxicity mainly focus on excitotoxicity, impairment of energy metabolism and oxidative stress. In addition, activation of astrocyte, vascular derangements, inflammatory processes may be a synergism of neurotoxicity.
