2.Biological characteristics of IL-24 and mechanisms of its anti-tumor action
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(9):657-661
Studies have shown that IL-24 is the only cytokine capable of inhibiting tumor growth and neovascularization as well as stimulating immune system. IL-24 exerts its inhibition effects through pathways independent of p53, Rb, p16 and other tumor suppressor genes and has no effect on normal cells. IL-24 has emerged as a hot topic in cancer therapy research.

Background and purpose:Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) possesses high risk of relapse and metastasis. Clinically, there are no speciifc targeted-therapies to TNBC except chemotherapy. Therefore, studying the mechanism of relapse and metastasis has signiifcance to improve the patients’ survival rate. This experiment aimed to study the effect of MAPK activation on migration and invasion of triple-negative breast cancer cells. Methods:Difference of migration and invasion between lung-high metastasis breast cancer cell line 231-HM and its parental cell line 231-p were first examined by cell scratch and transwell; Then, metastasis-associated proteins and MAPK-associated molecules were detected by Western blot; Last, 231-p cells were treated with P38/MAPK inhibitor and used to determine cell migration, invasion, and metastasis-associated proteins thereafter. Results:Compared with the parental cell line 231-p, 231-HM cells displayed obviously higher ability of migration and invasion. With the increased expression of Caveolin-1and β-catenin, the phosphorylation of MAPK-associated molecules including P38, Erk1/2, and MEK was highly decreased. Treatment of 231-p cells with low concentration (10 μmol/L) of the P38/MAPK inhibitor SB202190 increased the migration and invasion of 231-p cells, and the expression of Caveolin-1 andβ-catenin. Conclusion:Activation of MAPK signaling inhibits the migration and invasion of triple-negative breast cancer.

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2003;0(07):-
Objective To explore value of quantitative tissue velocity imaging(QTVI) in the regional systolic and diastolic myocardial function of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM) patients and healthy persons. Methods By Doppler myocardial imaging 20 HCM patients and 18 healthy subjects were collected, then the regional velocity were measured in the mid and basal segment in systolic, early diastolic and later diastolic period respectively. Results The parameters as systolic velocity(Vs),early diastolic velocity(Ve) and early systolic velocity/later diastolic velocity (Ve/Va) of the HCM group were significantly lower than those of the normal group, while later diastolic velocity(Va) showed no statistic difference between two groups. Conclusions The systolic and diastolic myocardial functions of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients are reduced. The abnormality of heart function in HCM patients could be accurately detected by QTVI.

OBJECTIVE:To determine camphor in compound menthol nose drop by RP-HPLC.METHODS:Waters No-va-pak C 18 was taken as the chromatographic column, the mobile phase was composed of chloroform-methanol-water(14∶52∶30)with a flow speed at1.0ml/min and detection wavelength at289nm,the column temperature was35℃.RESULTS:The linear range for camphor was0.8~5.6?g/ml(r=0.9998)and the average recovery rate was99.4%(RSD=0.7%).CONCLUSION:The method is specific, convenient and accurate, which can be used for the quality control of the preparation.
