1.A Case of Peutz-Jegher's Syndrome.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1970;8(2):79-82
A case of Peutz-Jeghers syndrome was experienced with melanin pigmentation in the oral cavity and lips associated small intestine polyposis. Diagnosis of Peutz-Jeghers syndrome was established by clinical characteristics of skin and X-ray studies of gastrointestinal tracts.

Journal of the Korean Surgical Society 2011;80(Suppl 1):S12-S16
Duodenal gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are uncommon and a relatively small subset of GISTs whose optimal surgical procedure has not been well defined. Because submucosal spread and local lymph node involvement is infrequent in GISTs, wide margins with routine lymph node dissection may not be required. Various techniques of limited resection for duodenal GISTs have been described depending on the site and the size of the tumors. In this study, we report two cases of GIST involving the third and fourth portion of the duodenum successfully treated by segmental duodenectomy with end-to-end duodenojejunostomy. This technique should be considered as a treatment option for GIST located at the third and fourth portion of the duodenum.

7.An Assessment on the Human Body Composition of Females with Magnetic Resonance Image.

Korean Journal of Physical Anthropology 1994;7(1):25-32
We have tried this experiments about measure of Human Body Fat from transverse body scans with Magnetic Resonance Image (0.5, Tesla). Images were created with a spin echo sequence using a repetition time 500msec, echo time 20msec, and 1cm length between 10mm cross sectional slices, and gained through a whole body. In vivo quantification of body fat with MRI was measured by two healthy Females Volunteers, each cut obtained with MRI was analyzed, traced papers on the view finder, and then digitized, at last calculated for the areas of Human Body Fat. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : Through the analyses of the Ratio of Human Body % Fat with MRI and Densitiometry, in Sub.1, Sub.2, MRI is estimated higher than Densitiometry, that is, Keys & Brozek's Method (1960) has the most remarkable score gaps, 6.94% (Sub.1), 6.21%(Sub.2). Chinn & Alleys Method (1960) has showed the score getting closest to MRI, 1.67% (Sub.1), 1.36%(Sub.2). And Siri's (1956) Brozek et al's (1963), which have been used as the most popular methods, make the difference of 4% approximately. As a result of this study, such as preceding studies about it Ratio of Human Body Composition with MRI has considered to be validated and trusted. Therefore, if we estimate for Ratio of Human Body Fat with much more subjects than this experiments we can suggest that the method with MRI is possible to develope low data adaptable in every field.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1971;9(2):31-34
Hidradenitis suppurativa is a rare disease which represents a chronic suppurative and scarring process, affecting the apocrine glands due to persistent bacterial infection and apocrine dysfunction. We have experienced a case of hidradenitis suppurativa, 22-year-old female which involved both axillary region. Diagnosis was established by clinical characteristicsymptoms, histopathological findings and bacteriological examinations.

9.COMPARISON OF WEAR RESISTANCE AMONG RESIN DENTURE TEETH OPPOSING VARIOUS RESTORATIVE MATERIALS.

The Journal of Korean Academy of Prosthodontics 1999;37(3):313-327
The aim of this study was to compare wear resistance of resin denture teeth opposing various restorative materials. The wear resistance of conventional acrylic resin teeth (Trubyte Biotone) and three high-strength resin teeth(Bioform IPN, Endura, SR-Orthosit-PE) opposing different restorative materials (gold alloys, dental porcelain, composite resin) was compared. Wear tests were conducted with a sliding-induced wear testing apparatus which applied 100,000 strokes to the specimen in an mesio-distal direction under conditions of 100 stroke/min and constant loading of 1Kgf/tooth. Wear resistance of the resin denture teeth was evaluated by the following criteria : 1) wear depth, 2)weight loss, and 3) SEM observation. Results were as follows. 1. When opposed to gold alloys and composite resin, high-strength resin teeth showed superior wear resistance compared to acrylic resin teeth. But, in cases opposing dental porcelain, differences between the wear of the high-strength and acrylic resin teeth were not statistically significant (p<0.05). 2. When comparing wear resistance among high-strength resin teeth, opposing gold alloys, Endura was slightly more resistant and while in cases opposing dental porcelain, SR-Orthosit-PE was showed to be slightly resistant(p<0.05). 3. The wear of high-strength resin teeth was greater by 5 to 7 times when opposing porcelain and 2 to 3 times when opposing composite resin compared to gold alloys(p<0.05). 4. SEM observations of the wear surface showed that wear of resin teeth opposing gold alloys is a fatigue type of wear and wear of resin teeth opposing dental porcelain is fatigue and abrasion type of wear. Trubyte Biotone showed more severe fatigue type of wear than high-strength resin teeth. In conclusion, the use of dental porcelain should seriously be considered as restorative material in cases opposing resin denture teeth and improvement seems to be needed on resin teeth in the areas of wear resistance.

10.A Human Embryo of Streeter Age Group XXIII.
Korean Journal of Pathology 1986;20(1):116-124
A human embryo obtained incidentally from a hysterectomy specimen of a 36 year old woman who was operated for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, was serially sectioned and reconstructed with 104 section slides. This embryo was characterized by a thick corneal body with well developed Descemet's endothelium, the optic nerve having vascular canal, the cochlear turning a little more than one time, the hypophysis with threadlike stalk, the vomeronasal organ having intermediate long narrow canal, the submandibular gland with deep lumen, the kidney with short secretory tubules and few large glomeruli and a well formed osseous band in the cartilage and bone. From above findings, it was concluded that this embryo belongs to the age group XXIII of Streeter's developmental horizon.
