2.Analysis of Nerve Excitability Test and Stapedial Reflex on the Prognosis of Facial Nerve Paralysis
Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 1997;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate the clinical application of nerve excitability test and stapedial reflex on the prognosis of facial nerve paralysis. Methods The threshold of excitability of the branches of facial nerves in both sides and stapedial reflex were tested in 50 patients. Results 34 patients out of 42 with differences of nerve excited threshold less than 3.5 mA showed complete recovery (81%),while only 2 patients out of 8 with the differences of nerve excited threshokd more than 3.5 mA showed recovery (25%), 32 patients out of 36 with positive response of stapedial reflex showed recovery (88.9%), but only 3 patients out of 14 recovered (21.4%) in non-response group. Conclusion The difference of nerve excited threshold of both sides less than 3.5 mA and positive response of stapedial refles showed a better prognosis, suggesting no severe injury to facial nerve and both nerve excitability test and stapedial reflex were useful chinical parameters to predict the prognosis of facial paralysis.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To examine the expression of Ki-67,p53,bcl-2 and bax in gastric globoid dysplasia and the relationship between globoid dysplasia and gastric carcinoma. Methods An immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of Ki-67,p53,bcl-2 and bax in 41 cases of gastric globoid dysplasia ,92 gastric carcinoma and 92 normal gastric mucosa. Results 41 cases gastic globoid dyplasia were seen in well differentiated adenocarcinoma, poor differentiated adnocarcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma and signet ring cell carcinoma. The histologic transition of globoid dysplasia to carcinoma was in 2 cases signet ring cell carcinoma and 3 poor differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma. Most cells of globoid dysplasia were positive of Ki-67,p53,bcl-2 and bax.The expression of Ki-67 and p53 in globoid dysplasia was higher than that in normal gastric mucosa and approached carcinoma level. The expression of bcl-2 was lower but of bax was higher in globoid dysplasia than that in normal. However, the expression of bcl-2 in higher grade globoid dysplasia was heightened. Conclusions Gastric globoid dysplasia is special active .It is possible that gastric globoid dysplasia is correlated to the occurrence of varied gastric carcinoma.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(08):-
Angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ)can induce the expression of its precursor, angiotensinogen,in vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMC),which is related with increased activating protein-1(AP-1)binding to its cis-element located in the angiotensinogen gene promoter. In the present study, cycloheximide(CHX)was used as an inhibitor to interrupt c-Jun,the role of AP-1 in AngⅡ-induced its precursor gene activation was investigated by DNA-protein interaction and immunoblotting. The results showed that the level of c-Jun,the component of transcription factor AP-1,was significantly increased in the nucleus of VSMC after AngⅡ treatment. The majority of c-Jun was found in the nucleus but hardly detected in the cytoplasm by immunocytochemistry staining.Immunoprecipitation assays confirmed that AngⅡ could induce serine phosphorylation of c-Jun.EMSA results indicated that the level of phosphorylated of c-Jun had a positive correlation with AP-1 binding activity to cis-acting element of angiotensinogen gene and transcription activation of angiotensinogen.CHX inhibited AngⅡ-induced binding activity of AP-1 by reducing the phosphorylation of c-Jun,though it did not affect the expression of c-Jun.These findings suggest that the AP-1 phosphorylation induced by AngⅡ is one of the important mechanisms whereby AngⅡ regulates its precursor gene expression in feedback manner. It is found that CHX is an inhibitor to phosphorylation of c-Jun.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(09):-
Objective To establish a method for determination of allicin(diallyl trisulfide) in the ultrafine garlic powder by gas chromatography(GC) . Methods Allicin injection was extracted by supersonic wave with a mixed solvent hexane-anhydrous ethanol(1:4) in GC by capillary column and detected by hydrogen flame ionization detector(FID) ,using nitrogen as the carrier gas. Results The peak areas were proportional to the allicin concentrations and the standard curve showed good linearity,y=190 282.5x-11 734.5(r=0.999 3) within the range of 0.30~3.00 mg/ml,the average recovery was 84.6%-98.6 % with RSD of 1.85%~3.27%. Conclusion The method is simple, accurate with good repeatability, and it is applicable to the determination of allicin in the ultrafine garlic powder.

Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 1998;0(03):-
Forty cases of unilateral low- frequency sensorineural hearing loss(LFSNHL) were analysed. The symptoms included tinnitus(87.5% ), deafness(75% ), vertigo(35%) and ear fullness(25% ). Audiome-try showed LFSNHL in all cases. The threshold difference between low frequencies and high frequencies was 26. 32 dB. The cause of LFSNHL, the relation between tinnitus, LFSNHL and endolymphatic hydrops were discussed. We hope that the diagnosis of LFSNHL should be standardized.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(01):-
Objectives To analyse the predisposing cause and clinical manifestasion of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) complicated with multiple organic failure (MOF),in order to diagnose early and management timely. Methods 537 diabetic patients admitted in our hospital from 1997 to 2000 were included in this cases retrospective study. 182 cases of them complicated with DKA or DKA complicated with MOF (58) were further analyzed by cause, clinical manifestation, number of organs in MOF and the prognosis. Results Analysis showed that the main cause of MOF in DKA patients was infection (84 5%). The higher incidence of MOF in older DKA patients than those of younger. The possible involved organs in MOF were kidney, heart and brain etc. Involving organs of MOF were much, the mortality was closely correlated with the number of involved organs. Conclusions The possible way to reduce the incidence of MOF in DKA patients is intensive preventing and treating infection. To avoid MOF occurring in DKA patients, complications of kidney, heart and brain should be timely diagnosed and managed.
